Review 1：I didn't have anything to complain about. First impressions from the street were disappointing but inside the rooms were refurbished and very clean and modern.

Review 2：Location was awesome. Surprisingly quiet, considering how close it was to everything. The manageress was so accommodating and helpful, welcoming and friendly. Comfortable bed and modern bathroom.

Review 7：Amazing management,very welcoming, kind & caring. We were traveling with a unwell child arriving late and they were kind enough to have the heater on so we were comfortable. Always friendly. Would highly recommend.

Review 8：Newly renovated. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Walking distance to everything, and only a short walk which is great with young children. Friendly and helpful staff. Designated car park out the front of each room.

Review 9：no ownership of the problem with their wifi - it didn't work and there was no technical back up; they implied that the problem lay with my iPad and not their system (they said no one had ever had a problem, showed me that their connection was working and so deduced that it must be a problem with my iPad - I have stayed in a large number of motels and never had such a problem); I got it sorted myself the next night they asked me to help another customer who also had problems with his wifi connection - they were again showing this poor man that their wifi connection was working, no use to him whatsoever other minor issues with poor TV reception, limited channels; wifi is also time limited really need to get a better IT system and support in place

Review 15：I recently stayed here with my two young children and it was fabulous. Friendly staff, immaculate room, well priced, great location and it felt very safe. We didn't need to use the car at all, and we had a really nice break. The Motel even lent the kids boogie boards to take to the beach.

Room was very clean and well appointed and a really good size, we were two couples traveling together and the suite was great with it's two separate rooms. We had a tour booked for the afternoon and requested with the owners if we could come and park our car there early but they actually ensured our room was ready for an early check-in which was awesome. All in all lovely staff and perfect location to explore Byron, would definitely stay again.

Review 27：We arrived late from Brisbane and the reception stayed open specially to welcome us. Very pleasant small apartment, 2 bedrooms, good and quiet heater. Very clean and quiet. The motel is really near the center so a walk up to the front is very easy and pleasant. Great value in Byron Bay.

Review 30：Unfortunately like previous reviews about this motel is the noise level from the surrounding motels and backpackers. Lucky it was a week day we stayed and noise was over by 9pm. Most of the surrounding accommodations have strict noise level controls so this will only effect early bedtimes before 9pm

Review 32：It is very functional and it wouldn't be a place I would stay in for a long period of time, saying that it was perfect for our visit to Byron and we could happily have stayed there another night or two (we only had one night).

Review 33：I loved that the motel staff were really concerned that the noise from other younger couples hadn't affected us while we stayed there and that they specifically spoke to the other motel guests to ensure this happened - WITHOUT us asking. The place was clean and perfectly situated close to the main areas and just what we needed for a quick overnight stop in Byron Bay. It was reasonably priced for our family stop off and had all we needed, tea, milk, shower gels etc. It also had free parking.

Review 34：Very disappointed at the mark up in price due to festival weekend - $145 to $375 per night. Made worse by the fact whilst we were staying there the price on this site was advertised for $270. Room was not serviced during out 4 day stay which is disappointed as was not an apartment but a standard motel room.

If travelling during off-peak period, getting there and picking a place might help, else use local websites as well to source Byron's scenic accommodations.

We found Hibiscus to be a clean, comfortable motel with a great location-- close to Main Beach and the restaurants, but what made our stay special was how the motel managers, Les and Helen went out of their way to make our stay comfy. They were extremely friendly and generous with travel tips-- made our stop feel like a home-stay with family! Thanks, Les & Helen!
