Reviews for Hotel Aurora
Review 1:The beds were not very comfortable and the pillows were horrible. The internet was very intermittent...
Review 2:The room was clean, breakfast was filling and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The tram to Gemstock was right outside our door....amazing location and view!
Review 3:- very bad WiFi, impossible to use it in the evening - expensive compared to other offers in other ski resorts - electric plugs missing, there were only two in the room, one already used by the tv and the other one by the radio
Review 4:- good location for going up to Gemsstock - nice view from the window - good bed, clean bathroom - parking at the hotel, payment with credit card possible
Review 5:Secure storage for our bikes. Breakfast supposed to be from 7.30 but they made sure they were ready at 7.00 so that we could eat before we headed back off to the airport.
Review 6:It was expensive, but then we discovered generally everything in Switzerland is. on this trip we travelled through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France, and on average the hotels in Switzerland were more than double the price of everywhere else.
Review 7:Right on the edge of town with excellent mountain views from the room window. It's a small town so while on the edge, it is still just a short stroll to the centre. Room was good. There is a secure garage attached to the hotel and they are happy for motorcycles to be stored in there overnight. We ate in the restaurant, and enjoyed the food very much.
Review 8:poor Wifi
Review 9:good location helpfull friendly staff
Review 10:Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Good WiFi. Great location. Gave us locked indoor parking for our motorcycles.
Review 11:Bed was comfortable, good wifi, very quiet location. Breakfast was excellent.

Review 16:Bathroom was quite small.
Review 17:Great location on the edge of the village. Friendly, helpful staff. Good storage room for bicycles.
Review 18:Nothing to dislike about the hotel
Review 19:Beautiful surroundings & nearby some amazing roads (as was on a driving holiday)
Review 20:-there was no French bidet -the bathroom sink was too small
Review 21:-friendly staff -cleanness -comfortable beds -quiet rooms

Review 23:staff very friendly, clean room, big room for a single traveler

Review 25:one night stay nothing much to say
Review 26:one night stay, nothing much to say
Review 27:Our bed wasn't particularly comfy. 15 swiss francs to use the sauna. No hot-tub.
Review 28:The hotel was fairly basic but pleasant. The owner was friendly and organised us a free packed breakfast when we had to check out early to catch our flight.
Review 29:Our stay was in the summer months so town `shut-down' early as didhotel bar. Would not be the same problem in skiing season
Review 30:We only stayed one night on a stop-over on a driving holiday en-route toSwitzerland/Italy. The room was large and clean. Staff veryfriendly, breakfast good.
Review 31:Ok as a stop over but very tired looking hotel, would benefit from refurb. Quite expensive compared to most others we stayed at which had more to offer.
Review 32:Good point, rooms were clean and breakfast very good.
Review 33:Like in many countries of German culture, no blinds on windows, only a thick curtain, through which light could still enter the room in the morning. This was the only minor problem.
Review 34:Everything was ok, we were warmly welcomed and efficiently taken care of.
Review 35:Entrance very smoky from the restaurant. No lobby. The rooms are cleanbut accommodations are a bare minimum. It appears they have not beenupdated since the early 1970'S. Linens, towels and beds are roughand uncomfortable. Power outlets (an essential these days) are few andvery, very far between (not even one for the blow dryer in thebathroom). The bathroom is miniscule and the tiny shower stall offerswater that fluctuates from cold to scalding in seconds. The Wifi isstrong but they charge extra to use the sauna.
Review 36:Location and price. Good for skiers.
Review 37:1) The facilities are a bit old but ok for a 3-star hotel 2) It is not about the hotel but skiing area of Andermatt is relatively small. Not much choice for families with kids where kids can ski at intermidiate level. There are blue trials which are extremely easy and boring or the black ones, though there are many opportunities for free ride.
Review 38:1) Location is ideal. Ski-in/Ski-out. 20 meters from ski lift. 2) Staff is very nice. Speak English, French, Italian, German 3) Breakfast is quite decent. Bread is very tasty 4) The hotel is clean and very quite
