Reviews for Hotel du Pont
Review 1:Pleasant location on main square, but terrace more quiet in the back. Super sweet family operation - each one sweater than the next. Standard comforts and clean.
Review 2:Excellent location near the railway station and overlooking the square at the heart of the old town. Lovely views from our window. Perfect, small family-run hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant. What more could anyone want ?
Review 3:Two single beds pushed together instead of a double. The lack of air conditioning at our time of stay was a problem and made our stay rather uncomfortable.
Review 4:Friendly staff, wonderful location, amazing breakfast. Good sized rooms in a traditional Swiss building
Review 5:Noise from the river was a little too much, but with earplugs I had a no problem sleeping.
Review 6:Excellent location just a few minutes walk from the train station. Right in the old town so everything is just outside the door. Restaurant is open late and the prices are reasonable.
Review 7:Its more like a family hotel and the owners are always coming up asking you if everything was alright and it was really nice. they even recommended places to visit without us even asking.
Review 8:The WiFi wasn't easy to access from the rooms, or at least not from mine. However, I was able to access it relatively easily from the lobby, which was fine.
Review 9:The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is right by the main square of the town, making it easy to enjoy the Brig atmosphere. The hotel also has a restaurant attached, with great food.
Review 10:Staff very short and unhelpful with my husband when trying to get there attention
Review 11:Beautiful views and lovely Thai meal out.only there one night.
Review 12:position perfect in the square, near to staion and fabulous restaurant with great atmosphere
Review 13:Lovely hotel, good location near train station owner very friendly and excellent breakfast !
Review 14:Christian, his mum and all the staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate. The food was amazing and the service exceptional.
Review 15:stairs
Review 16:The food is honest and hardy
Review 17:Room was dusty and infested with moths. Toilet not clean - had to do it ourselves. Although hotel is located in the 'pedestrianised' square, buses use the adjacent bus stop and are noisy. Breakfast was served in bar and no self service. Croissants were stale.
Review 18:Proximity to the train station.
Review 19:I checked out after two days although I had to stay there one week beacuse of incredible rude behaviour of the young son of the hotel owner. His rude communication and yelling at me in the hotel restaurant full of other guests was not acceptable at all and I did not experience anything like that in my whole life (I travel at least twice a month in different countries all over the world for bussines). The reason was my question regarding two fried eggs after 25 minutes of waiting! I could not eat honey or marmelade for breakfast because of diabetes but to ask for something different than their poore breakfast was just a problem. The other problem was that Internet did not work at all and they could not connect the phone calls to my room. The same young man explained to my husband calling me from Germany that it is ridiculous nowdays to ask for such a servise because we can talk over cell phone or I could go to the main railway station and use the phone box there!? When I asked to talk to the hotel director/manager I was told that he is not availabe because "he is watering the salade in their garden"!? I moved out of that family run hotel although other hotels were fully booked and I did not know where I will sleep next few days. I will never go there again.
Review 20:The room was clean and spacious.
Review 21:Convenient location a short walk from the train station and surrounded by the (small) old town with bars and restaurants. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Review 22:A lot of noise in the weekend from "party goers" up until early hours ofthe morning. In the summer, when you cant close the window due to heat,it made it difficult to sleep. Not the hotels fault, but we would notcome again purely for that reason. We would eat there again though
Review 23:Clearly a family run hotel which gives it a comfortable and welcomingfeel. Food very good, especially the fantastically priced (at leastcompared to average swiss price) 3 course menu. A lot of attention paidto service and way food is presented, nice terace, good wine selection
Review 24:Lack of any hot drink facilities in the room
Review 25:Good Room and Beds
Review 26:Breakfast is very mediocre
Review 27:Although old most of the facilities have been renovated
Review 28:Everything, especially the service and the spa room!
Review 29:Nice family owned hotel. Very friendly and helpful owners. We had a quiet room to the courtyard.
