Review 3:Honestly at this level it's one of the best offers I've seen and can't think of any downsides
Review 4:Awesome location, amazing reception, great host.
Review 5:Loved everything. Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Lovely location and views. Fantastic food - the best tarte tatin I have ever tasted. Francis picked us up and dropped us if at the nearby train station. Excellent!
Review 6:The will to make the best possible is great but it does not always succeed.
Review 7:The hotel has a stunning view of the massif of Les Diablerets from the lovely terrace and from the rooms at the front. The hotel features an a variety of beautiful art to enjoy.
Review 8:Our dogs were fine but the house cat may not have agreed. Apart from that, there was nothing to find fault with. Personal service from the owner.
Review 9:The view of the mountains from our balcony and the terrace is fantastic. The rooms are lined with interesting paintings and whole place is a credit to the owner.
Review 10:Breakfast selection was rather narrow if you are not a milk and chees person
Review 11:Excellent and quiet location but close to the resort, beautiful old house with tasteful decorated rooms.
Review 12:Very friendly, quiet, cosy small hotel with character. Run in a family, relaxed and informal atmosphere while professional at the same time. It is pleasure to stay in the lounge, reading a book in front of the fire. Rooms are good, without frills and well designed, location is good with beautiful view, and . Certainly a place to return to!
Review 13:We have no criticism of this hotel. A very enjoyable stay
Review 14:A very Swiss hotel, small and very comfortable. Beautiful view of Les Diabelets and the Alps. Very friendly and helpful proprietor and staff. Very good restaurant.
Review 15:A beautifully situated, tastefully furnished, comfortable, reasonably priced, historic hotel, a short and pleasant walk from the village. The owner and staff are lovely and hospitable people, who offered to give me a ride to the train station early in the morning on the day of my departure (which was a Sunday). And the food is delicious! Staying at the Hotel du Pillon was a delight.
Review 16:Nothing to complain.
Review 17:We've been to Hotel du Pillon by pure chance: having tickets for the Gstaad Country Night Festival and looking for an affordable 3 stars hotel in the area. And we've got lucky, the choice was exceptional. From all the point of view: a gorgeous view over the mountains (our GPS indicated 1200m altitude), the hospitality of the staff, the cleanness of our room, the very nice restaurant of the hotel (for breakfast and dinner, if you would want to have it). Furthermore, they treated very kindly my rusty French language. And not to forget, they also love Leonard Cohen music… A small tip, if you arrive after nightfall, as we did, don't be afraid, as we did, of the narrow road (Chemin de Bovets) that climbs to the hotel itself, from the main road of Les Diablerets. It's short and perfectly safe. And it's worth the climb, as I said, the landscape next morning will be extraordinary.
Review 18:The room we got were under construction and we saw there bunch of tools, cause they were repairing the terrace! Also, the Italian guy who was at the reception did not speak any English or French:) Ok, this happen late in the night, but still, such great place must take care of details.
Review 19:Magnificent location!!! Makes you forget your phone and emails
Review 20:The restaurant has an excellent food but the personnel should learn a bit more french language (italian speaking personnel).
Review 21:General Manager positive attitude. Bid room very comfortable. Excellent food
Review 22:The hotel was warm and friendly and very comfortable.
Review 23:Slightly away from the main village. Basic (but tasty) dinner. No hot breakfast choice.

Review 39:Excellent location in a beautiful area. Inside the hotel a cozy alpine atmosphere with quality artworks in every corner. The view from the balcony is amasing. Very pleasant and helpful host. Hope to get back there!! המלון משרה אווירה אלפינית נעימה, יצירות אמנות בכל פינה והנוף ממרפסת החדר משכר. המארח הוא איש נעים הליכות ובעל טעם משובח. מקווים לחזור לשם
Review 40:Firstly, id le to sy this is te first rview i have ever left on bookimg.com. The hotel du pillion was a wonderful surprise for our recent few days away from the kids. First stay but already looking forward to the next. The ambience of the hotel is a real strength, a combination of tradition and arts which works very well. The location is superb - if like us you are looking for a country hotel in a beautiful area. We chose to eat at the hotel both nights and were delighted we did. Perfect food for a reasonable price. Rooms are simple but charming. Ours had a lovely view and one of the best beds we have ever had! The owners and staff were exceptionally charming thought our stay, making the Hotel du Pillon more of a personal experience than a simple hotel stay. We hope to return soon.
Review 41:The place is very close to the centre of the village, but with the skiing gear and luggages the car would come in handy. We did not have a car, however, the owners were very nice and gave us lifts whenever we requested.
Review 42:A super nice place, home-like atmosphere, cosy and artsy interior, very clean. Friendly owners. Fondue and wine in the restaurant was great, breakfast with fresh local producs. Did not want to leave and looking forward to coming back some time!
Review 43:All and all very disapointing. Personnel is simply indifferent and most times rude.. Service is poor, that is once we managed to find someone in the hotel, and most of the times it felt as if they did us a favour. Seems more like a rented room in a house rather than a hotel. As for silence, rooms were not sound-proof.
Review 44:I think having the bathroom with no separtion from the bedroom is quite incovinient. Also the parking was full one night that we arrived later and we had to parking the car around the hotel in a danger situation.
Review 45:Wonderfull breakfast. Excelent value for money. The owner was very helpful and try to make you stay really a pleasant one. He also indicated a very good italian restaurant " the Granges " and finally, you really can relax at tis hotel
Review 46:Roadsigns and Tomtom readings to the hotel. address was unknown in my catalogue. First try lead to an alpine meadow !
Review 47:Positive homely atmosphere, excellent Fondue. Good beds
Review 48:Hard to find something: maybe eggs could be included in the breakfast price and not as extra. But I guess one can live with it!
Review 49:Friendly staff, tailored great food for vegetarians, outdoor space for dinner and breakfast with amazing view, pool table, cozy, great rooms with terrace and large shower. A must go again.
Review 50:Nothing of note.
Review 51:Superb atmosphere Welcoming staff Table d'hote option in the traditional "hosts table" shared dining sense - Met some wonderful people. Owner run, and it shows. Decoration and style captures the hope you have for a homely mountain hotel. Absolutely stunning mountain area.
Review 52:A charming traditional hotel (well maintained) with a relaxingatmosphere. The hotel’s location: an idyllic swiss mountain village withimpressive mountain views. Friendly team, very welcoming, who arepassionate to share their expertise in “good living”. The hotel’scomfortable rooms and communal areas, team and good service make youfeel “at home”. - (We didn’t want to leave….)
Review 53:Our room (4 bed family room) could do with some refurbishment
Review 54:Home cooked dinner in private dining room type setting. The food was excellent and the hosts charming (Martina was an absolute star)
Review 55:- hospitality of the owhers and staff (we arrived after midnight and the owner give us opportunity to relax in lobby near fireplace with selfserving bar); - like at home, clean and comfortable; - very nice views; - very close to slopes (Les Disablerets, Glacier 3000); - free parking and WiFi; Like Mercedes "The best or nothing"....
Review 56:The rule against food and drink in guest rooms seemed a bit unnecessary.
Review 57:Tremendous location and wonderful views. Soft classical music playing in the background in common areas was a nice touch.
Review 58:Dinner is full of improvisations-is there or is there no dinner?
Review 59:The owner has invested well and competently in renovating the hotel. The welcome was good-the room and bedding comfortable and pleasant-all super quiet. Breakfast was most appreciated
Review 60:Position/ food / owner / Very comfortable public rooms

Review 72:Very friendly owner, made you feel at home. Made sure all your needs were taken care of.
