Review 1：Rooms a little tired looking,furniture needs updating.

Review 6：We were given a studio with 2 rooms kingsize room and queen room with huge kitchen and bathroom just the two of us.. may be the owner want us to have a good rest having know that we had a long drive from Toronto to Cape Breton Island and return..Value for money. Good location near to mall and just 4 km from Saint Join uptown.

Review 7：Unit 6. At 11:00 P.M. the unit next door had a 20 min. shower - the shower head had a high pitched squeal and the fan had a loud roar. This needs to be fixed.

Review 9：Musty and dingy. Didn't take my socks off or use the shower. Slept in my clothes on top of the bed. This was a room under the house so a converted basement area. Maybe the other section is nicer. I just came from a long drive and only had a few hours before catching the ferry or would have just said no thanks.Next time I think it would be better to sleep in the car.

Review 11：Motel is absolutely disgusting and should be torn down. Couch black with ingrained dirt & bathroom floor dirtiest I have ever seen & broadloom was awful. Should be inspected & closed!

Review 13：Only one thing, found a small harmless, spider in one of the cups under the sink. It must be noted that the mug was unsealed. Otherwise the cup was clean as were all the dishes and cutlery.

Review 14：Affordable, had WiFi, good location. Had a nice, clean fridge. Also a sink with housekeeping amenities. Easy to find. Nice staff/owner.

Review 15：the motel had not been updated it seems in at least 20 years, heat did not work, kitchenette was dated and lacking cookware and cutlery and what was there was old, dirty and/or beat up. I feel like the website showed the best rooms and we got the worst, I rented a suit and you expect the suits to be the better rooms..... this reminded me of staying in a slum apartment. did not feel safe or comfortable and will never stay in a motel again.

Review 16：The owner/operator was pleasant, and was willing to give us our money for the night we didn't stay back as we were booked for 2 nights and could only make it through one.

Review 17：We stayed at Hillside Motel the night before we boarded the ferry to Digby. Owner is such a nice guy, very helpful and lives onsite if we were to need anything. We stayed on the lower level in a little apartment, even had a small kitchen. Clean and equipped with everything we needed, and allowed our small dog. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in St John.

Review 18：Had a little difficulty following directions to the motel as do not have GPS. Directions said to leave the major road, which we did, then they did not say whether to turn left or right at the T-junction to reach the road we needed, just gave a street name which could not be seen from several hundred metres away. We chose left instead of right, but reached the motel in the end although it took a bit longer.

Review 19：The man at the desk was very helpful at all times. When we arrived he showed us 3 different units so we could choose the one we preferred. Close to supermarkets and other shops. An older style property but comfortable.

Review 21：A good place for a stopover. Basic room that was clean and comfortable. The manager was very welcoming and did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable. I would stay there again.

Review 31：I loved the staff. They were so accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Supporting local families is always a bonus for us when we travel, instead of heading to the huge hotels. The room was very clean and quaint. Big bed. Beautiful location and very central to downtown Saint John - less than a 10 minute car ride.

Review 32：Booked the room using the app which was easy. Upon arrival in was told that there was a mix up in the room type (I needed 2 beds but was told my booking was for only 1 even though the description. And photo showed 2 beds) however they had a room available and the check in was easy, room was clean although slightly dated, but we didn't need luxury accommodations and for the price the place was well worth it.

Review 33：I couldn't find a three hole outlet which my laptop needed. It wasn't very clean and didn't have a smoke detector Most everything was totally out dated. The electric was kinda scary.
