Reviews for Clearwater Valley Resort
Review 1:Would have liked to have glasses provided, cups instead paper cups for the coffee and kleenex too. It was too bad that the restaurant was closed. A comfortable chair for watching TV would have been nice.
Review 2:We could walk to several restaurants.
Review 3:Lack of kitchen equipment. Staff first refused to help when I asked them for a tin opener. After an argument kitchen staff reluctantly opened the can. Declined request to supply one to the unit.
Review 4:Nice outlook to it's own small lake from the upstairs self catering unit
Review 5:Very basic but has everything you need. This isn't the Hilton but it is perfect for an over night stay. The room is big enough the bed is comfy. Great place to staff.
Review 6:the cabin was really small, the bed was terrible, and no breakfast.restaurant closed as well.
Review 7:easy to get to,within walking of stores and some restaurants.
Review 8:Internet connection was poor. Crowded with lots of kids running around. We had a nice sized suite with king sized bed, kitchen area, and sitting area, so we could be comfortable. However, you could really hear the noise of people in upper story apartment at all hours. Pool was small and crowded. Room was clean - not luxurious but comfortable.
Review 9:Location near Wells Gray Park
Review 10:No wifi was told it was because so many were on it but this was not true as I tried even at 4am!!! We really needed wifi to make contact with our next destination this was very frustrating- shouldn't advertise free wifi unless it actually works
Review 11:Pool and accommodation
Review 12:TV in room didn't work. Wifi was too busy and was kicked off all the time. Didn't have wifi for more than a minute. Breakfast was not included,
Review 13:Facilities were awesome.
Review 14:The area is secured with fence and locked at night with video surveillance. Very pretty setting.Very quiet and well-looked after. Would stay there again. You can tent, RV, stay in cabin.
Review 15:Restaurant was not open so had to find alternative venue
Review 16:Stayed in one of the lodges around the man made pond. Small but ok for 1 night. WiFi signal not very good. Lack of on site restaurant, it was closed the whole time we were there. Good food at Caboose Restaurant across the main road.
Review 17:It is one of the best places to stay if not the best place to stay in Clearwater. The staff is very friendly and tries to make your stay a do it again experience. My family will stay there any time a stop in Clearwater is needed. There was nothing about the facility that I didn't like. I just feel there is always room for improvement in everything we do to keep moving forward. To give a perfect effort is to give your best to everyday. No worries on our end you guys run a tight show. Thank you. See you soon.
Review 18:Staff
Review 19:Loved our little cabin for our one night stay... definitely will stay here again if we're in the area. Staff were welcoming and went above and beyond by showing us three different accommodations available and let us choose... breakfast was great before our departure.
Review 20:Lack of microwave in the room
Review 21:Quietness of the bungalow, comfort of the bed, that there was a fridge available - didn't use WiFi nor have breakfast
Review 22:Loved the layout of the place! The pool was perfect for those really hot days. The staff in the restaurant where beyond exceptional! They remembered every morning that we drank tea and even gave us some specialty tea to try out! Highly recommend this place!
Review 23:Cabins are close together so a bit noisy until about 11pm. Floors felt greasy underfoot. Bed was comfortable but sheets and blankets were a bit worn. Take bug spray if you go up to waterfalls. We were swarmed by huge Mosquitos
Review 24:Close to Wells Grey Park, short drive up to waterfalls. Beautiful scenery
Review 25:Kids loved the pool, the play area and the free crazy golf. We enjoyed being so close to Wells Gray Park which has some stunning scenery and waterfalls
Review 26:I felt attacked as soon as I arrived, as my brother had a small dog...I knew nothing of what had taken place before I arrived and felt it was taken out on me where the dog was allowed and who was staying where and with who. I enjoyed our stay after the initial office visit....
Review 27:We thought the location and lodging was very good. Worked well for all 7 family members..
Review 28:The room was dirty, there were hairs in the bathroom. The floor wasn't cleaned daily even though it was dirty. The fridge made a lot of noise, I had to unplug it to have a proper sleep. The bathroom is outdated.
Review 29:A separate bungalow.
Review 30:We paid $150 for a night sleeping in the shed that should be used for keeping tools. I'm sorry but the room and tiny bathroom felt dirty and uncfortable. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Photos on web are not what it looks like in reality. Internet wasn't working properly, restaurant was closed for the season and so was pool, and I wouldn't use the pool eather. I normally don't leave feedback but I believe they should change the cabins if they charge $150 per night.
Review 31:Friendly lady at the reception
Review 32:Hard to find - needs better signage. If I had known it was with KOA would never have booked. Pool was closed. Restaurant was closed. "Lake" which was featured in the ad was murky. When we went into our bungalow there were dirty dishes and coffee still in the pot from the last guests and a used washcloth. The whole place is run down and needs a facelift. Would never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone!!! I am sure this review will never make it to the page as it is so negative. You must only feature the positive.
Review 33:The idea of a bungalow.
Review 34:No drinking cups were available until staff were asked. The price of 111 CAD per bungalow was too high for the end of season. The bathroom soap dispenser was empty. Generally only basically
Review 35:Not much as the pool had been emptied and the facilities in the room were not up to standard
Review 36:We stayed in one of these little cottages located around the pond. It was not clean. There was a bush of hair on the bathroom floor. The carpet wasn't clean either. There was a layer of dust on the coffee machine. The internet didn't work the entire stay. The stuff woman didn't help us. Most disturbing and annoying was that the fire alarm (an extremely loud siren noise) in our cottage went off twice in the middle of the night for no reason whatsoever. None was there to help us fix it. Would never stay there again!
Review 37:bungalow is not that cosy. Everything there what is needed but relatively cold, scarce interieur wifi was not good
Review 38:Easy to reach Good location as directly at the entering street for the Wells Gray National Park. Single bungalows are cute
Review 39:Having stayed at a true resort in Whistler for $1 less per night than this place I believe that it is misleading to call it a resort. In all honesty it is a caravan park with a few bungalows that are in dire need of renovating. On entering our bungalow we were treated to a strong odour of disinfectant and things only got worse from there. The dishcloth looked it had been used to wash several cars, the fridge previously used as a kickboxing target and we could only get an audio channel on our TV!! As for the WIFI that was advertised….forget it. The only good thing I can say about this place is that we fortunately only had 1 night there.
Review 40:Not a lot!!!
Review 41:No pool as advertised No restaurant as advertised Staff were minimal Booking.com misinformed me about facility and services FALSE INFORMATION. BEWARE.
Review 42:Room was clean
Review 43:That you could see the plastic at the top of the pond . It could have been so pretty, instead it just looked ugly
Review 44:everything, good accommodations, good food ,great location and the people could not have been nicer
Review 45:The accommodation is called Clearwater valley resort but it is only a caravan park. We happened to have a cabin. It was quite small and it felt depressing. The only provision was a soap dispenser in the shower and not even a soap was provided to wash your hands. It wad very clean though
Review 46:The setting of the hotel is very nice, a relaxing feel about it
Review 47:The bungalow was a shack. There were dirty rags that the cleaning crew left in the room. The shower was miserable. The price was much too high for this poor facility. I felt we were taking advantage of as the "rich" tourists.
Review 48:The closeness to Wells Grey Park
Review 49:Room was small, problem with lots of luggage. No ice bucket, had to pay for bag of ice. Pond advertised was green and filled with algae. Did not advertise that this was KOA. We did not expect campground.
Review 50:Food, pizza was excellent. Shower was great. Staff was friendly and super helpful. They are dog friendly.
Review 51:There are 2 floors, with one suite upstairs. Not soundproof, so when our upstairs neighbor came and went at all hours, stomping around, it was impossible to sleep. Also, in the photos on your link, there appears to be a lake. This is actually a man made pond that is cheaply made with black plastic tarp and it is hideous. There is nothing aesthetically pleasing about this place. Just a place to crash.
Review 52:That we had a reservation and didn't have to drive from place to place.
Review 53:Shower could use new showerhead or a good cleaning with CLR ... it was like showering under a garden hose! 2 packets of coffee would be better since pot only makes enough for 1/2 cup for 2 people in mugs provided.
Review 54:Room was clean, quiet. Perfect for our needs for a 1 night stop during road trip. Staff were friendly; location was central for our needs.
Review 55:The website did not mention that this "resort" was part of a large KOA campsite which meant a steady parade of RVs throughout our stay. The signage for the "resort" was also at one edge of the property, not at the main KOA entrance, which was the only access. All a bit confusing at the end of a 7 hr drive. The price was a bit high given the meagre amenities in the room. Very basic.
Review 56:Friendly staff Clean
Review 57:Service was poor. Staff could not find our booking on arrival and the manager was off-hand and didn't bother to apologise She even complained rudely about another guest whilst serving us!
Review 58:Motel room was quite spacious and beds were comfortable. Motel was easy to find as it is located next to highway and parking is right outside so it is ideal for an overnight stop.
Review 59:The room could be a little better equiped with utensils etc. Coffee was rationed......there were 3 of use and one bag of coffee. We asked for more coffee every day we stayed.
Review 60:The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They have a good knowledge of the area. The grounds are well kept and clean.
Review 61:Great location, near to Wells Gray Park and eating places. Lovely helpful staff, comfortable cabins.
Review 62:Pretty location
Review 63:WIFI signal is not strong enough in our small cabin.
Review 64:nice staff. clean bed. nice room. half camping half cottage feeling.
Review 65:Everything was good . Thinking of bringing my trailer there to do some camping
Review 66:WiFi sucked:)

Review 68:Great, spacious accomodation, especially if you like the Camping atmosphere. Nearby restaurants and shops. Perfect place to visit Wells Gray park.
Review 69:Rude reception. Cabin was shabby at best. Do yourself a favor and never go there.
Review 70:Nothing.

Review 74:Incredibly slow wifi
Review 75:Smartly furnished room, lovely breakfasts
Review 76:We stayed in a bungalow - very cute. Owners are exceptional and make you feel like old friends.
Review 77:It was a convenient stopping point between the Okanagan and Jasper. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and looked recently renovated.
Review 78:worst wifi in Canada very busy pool
Review 79:Easy check in and out. Clean, quiet bungalow. Good restaurant with large menu. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 80:carpet seemed old and the bed sheets don't properly fit on the bed.
Review 81:Pool and gazebo was nice.

Review 88:It was adequate, reasonably priced comfortable, nice location, clean, wonderful staff but a bit musty smelling.
Review 89:Wifi was quite weak
Review 90:Located in and near nature
Review 91:We ran out of hot water. cabin a little small. Internet patchy.
Review 92:Quiet and well located
Review 93:Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Review 94:Poor facilities, only 1pillow each, 1 bedside table and variable wi fi. Not good value for money. Very small room.
Review 95:Location was good for us.
Review 96:only had hot plate instead of stovetop/oven
Review 97:loved the full fridge, microwave, kitchenette, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans supplied,
Review 98:The accommodation was right on the doorstep of the entrance to Wells Gray Country Park so perfect for exploring it. Clean, tidy and comfortable
Review 99:Small room (bungalow), average quality, could be quite noisy when full
Review 100:Good location, easy access from highway, good base for exploring area
Review 101:Whole site is got a strange layout, but still ok.

Review 110:Nice setting, friendly staff, restaurant, swimming pool. Double queen room was spacious.
Review 111:None
Review 112:Very friendly staff who accommodated us even with a late arrival at 11:30
Review 113:When I went into the office to register I felt ignored.
Review 114:Privacy was great. Fridge, coffee, facilities were good.
Review 115:I thought there would have been a door separating the two rooms in the family suite...makes it a little awkward for 2 couples
Review 116:price
Review 117:The owners were wonderful and made sure my husband and I were comfortable as we celebrated our 1 year anniversary.
Review 118:Small rooms
Review 119:Very cooperative Personal Outdoor Pool Restaurant
Review 120:Accommodation on poor side and basic. The TV was on a wall bracket with a tangle of wires and adapters hanging from it.
Review 121:The water was hot.
Review 122:Great situation for Wells Grey.
Review 123:Wifi was slow.
Review 124:Good to have a pool, playground & mini golf for kids.
