Offering a 1,000 feet long private lakeshore at Lake Locarno, the luxurious Castello del Sole features a spacious wellness centre with a gym, tennis courts and a golf course. It is surrounded by a 14-hectare big private park.
All rooms and suites come with air conditioning, free wired internet access, cable TV and balcony. The private bathrooms are equipped with toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.
Directly on the lakeshore guests can have a drink at the Spiaggia bar and terrace. The various à la carte restaurants serve an international cuisine including sea food specialities. They offer outdoor dining options on the summer terrace.

Review 2：On arrival staff were very welcoming. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very luxurious and immaculately presented. The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained. The bar manager was very efficient and made us feel welcome. We ate in the a la carte restaurant - food and service exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. As we left we were given bottles of water for the journey along with arborio rice which had been produced by the hotel.

Review 11：It is one of very few expensive five star hotels where you actually get what you pay for. The hotel grounds, service, food - all of it is absolute top notch. The hotel is run with maximum attention to detail. We recevied a free upgrade to a junior suite to have better comfort for our 7 month old twins. When we arrived the room was furnished with two nice cots with two small toys waiting for our twins as a welcome present. Sure, a toy does not cost more than 10 CHF, BUT someone has to think about it and make it happen and the management of this hotel does precisely this. I can strongly recommend the half-board option served in your room at no extra cost. This is downright CHEAP compared to other five star hotels and if you have small children you will appreciate it!
