Reviews for Raices Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:Cecilia the owner was absolutely lovely, full of energy and very helpful. She organised all our tours and gave us great tips of the area. Raices was very cosy and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend it!

Review 2:The rooms to the front suffer from traffic noise.

Review 3:A very good B&B run by Cecilia in the center of Coyhaique. The clean rooms feature a stylish-minimalist decor with lots of raw wood, stone and in some cases wood stoves. There is a common area with a fireplace and a small garden in the back. Attention of staff was excellent, and the breakfast was the best I had during my trip through Chile. Good selection, real coffee and well arranged. Wifi is also good. The center of town and most restaurants are in easy walking distance.

Review 4:Great breakfast around a large table with othe people. Very nicely served, would rate it as one of the best breakfasts in eight years of living in Chilean Patagonia

Review 5:We stayed two nights, first before our trip to the south of the Carretera then on return, and got a quiet room with very comfortable beds. The breakfast at a common table in the lounge (with live fire in the fireplace) was excellent (cereals, delicious homemade marmalade, scrambled eggs). And Cecilia, the owner, she is really precious!! We hope to come once again.

Review 6:We stayed in the back room of this beautiful little B&B. Lovely design, warm cozy fire as you walk in the door, delicious breakfast. The owner, Cecilia, is absolutely fabulous. She helped us figure out how to buy some bus tickets we needed and was just wonderful.

Review 7:I would only complain that there was a wet smell in my room when the windows were closed, and in one of our rooms the windows wouldn't open and shut without someone outside helping. The internet was slow, and the suggested activities weren't always the best option for price.

Review 8:We felt safe and well-taken care of, the breakfast was quite a spread, and the rooms/beds were very comfortable. The hostess, Cecilia, is a gem in terms of getting you reservations and making sure your plans will work for the time you have. The space was adorable and cozy, the location made sense, and it felt more luxurious than what we were paying for. I would certainly recommend it for non-budget travelers.

Review 9:Thin walls, so a bit too noisy other guest wise making the room seem not as private as would have liked

Review 10:Amazing comfy bed, cable tv, delicious breakfast

Review 11:Rooms a little noisy from adjacent travellers (can hear others late and early)

Review 12:Hostess terrific and professional Breakfast best in Chile so far Clean room Wifi Location perfect and just out of centre Smooth booking process

Review 13:I honestly wouldn't have made it home if it wasn't for Cecilia, the woman who runs the place. After missing my ride to the airport, she personally walked me to the LAN headquarters in Coyhaique, spoke to representatives there for me, and, before I knew it, they had me on the next flight to Santiago. Also the breakfast is delicious, the building is the perfect amount of rustic and comfortable, and there's always a fire in the fireplace to make you feel at home.

Review 14:The room we were given was too small. It did not have a desk and chair or space to roll out my yoga mat and stretch. Breakfastwould e better with more fresh fruit.

Review 15:The location is definitely a plus. The owner (Cecilia) and the rest of the staff were amicable and provided good information and contacts.

Review 16:Everything excellent, confortably and warm beds and bedroom. The attention was the best with Cecilia. Location at two blocks from main plaza, perfect.

Review 17:The owner is very hospitable and she also speak very good English! Breakfast is very good.

Review 18:unique place and excellent attention by Cecilia the owner

Review 19:They even arranged a bus for me from the front door to the airport in Balmaceda.

Review 20:Cecelia was very helpful. The fireplaces were just what we needed in this cold weather.

Review 21:Music in lounge.

Review 22:Warm hospitality. Nice room, lounge with open fire. Close tot center.

Review 23:I had room facing the street and it was not too noisy at all.

Review 24:Comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast.

Review 25:Attractive artistic decor and a lovely garden (along with an outstanding breakfast) made this a great stopover.

Review 26:The owner is a doll, super sweet and accommodating. The interior design is lovely, and the energy is warm and homey. I will be returning!!

Review 27:My only complaint is that the walls are a bit thin. As we were so tired at the end of the day and brought ear-plugs, this didn't bother us.

Review 28:Me and my wife stayed here for 10 nights while working in the area. We found the staff extremely pleasant, attentive, and caring. This added to the overall warm and cozy feeling of the place. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 29:Price-quality-relation is not good - definitely too expensive for what it is! Loud if someone chats until late in the night, because the walls and doors are of cheap quality. WiFi was not or poorly working most of the time.

Review 30:Nice and cosy rooms, good and healthy breakfast.

Review 31:We felt that our room was very small for the amount we paid, with minimal furniture. There was quite a bit of traffic noise as the room faced on to a main road and the walls between the rooms were very thin so there was also a lot of noise from the other guests. The bathroom was very small and the window faced on to the main road with a very thin blind so people could see in. We felt overall that we would have been happier with our stay if the price of the room had been lower, but unfortunately we did not feel like the standard compared to the pictures on the website nor the amount charged.

Review 32:The common area was really nice, with a great fire and a big breakfast. The staff were friendly.

Review 33:We arrived after a long day of driving from the south, and were greeted with coffee and delicious chocolate brownies followed by a brief explanation of the key points in town and some excellent recommendations for restaurants. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere, great facilities and and excellent breakfast! I would recommend Raices to everyone. Gracias!

Review 34:A little on the expensive side But well worth it to stay as long as you can a afford

Review 35:Rich and delicious breakfast. The livingroom with fireplace. The view outside windows. Location The bathrooms

Review 36:I really enjoyed my stay at Raices. The staff were very friendly eventhough they did not have much English and my Spanish is very basic. Theroom was very comfortable and the lodge very warm and cosy. The bestplace I have stayed in during my trip to Chile. Muy Bien

Review 37:I liked very much the family warmth of the place, The owner was veryhelpful and friendly, the place was cosy, and everything was done withno pretention but very good taste. The breakfast was exceptional: thebest, by far, of all the hoteles we stayed in the Patagonia, in Chileand Argentina. Home made bread and cakes, natural orange juice,,diferent options as cereals, nuts, cheese, eggs, etc.

Review 38:Cot was lovely looking and great for a small baby but was a little hairy for our 18 month old as it was a up high but with low sides but we just put it between the wall and our bed.

Review 39:Very well decorated, clean, nice deck/garden area. Close to square and restaurants. Good breakfast. Very good value.

Review 40:Internet didn't work. There was a huge dead spider squashed on the wall. I think it's overpriced. You can easily hear people in the next room.

Review 41:Staff was very friendly and they gave me cake and tea when I arrived. They had some great books on the region in the common room.

Review 42:Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and the breakfast was great. Perfect for a young couple trying to save a few bucks but still trying to stay in a nice spot. Bed and Breakfast describes it perfectly, loved it.

Review 43:Bugs in the shower. On the street and very noisy all night.

Review 44:Nice staff, good breakfast, central location

Review 45:Room great food awesome

Review 46:Front room a little noisy from the streets and bathroom rather small

Review 47:Rustic country B&B. Nice breakfast.

Review 48:Nice small B&B with helpful staff and good location

Review 49:very thin walls, you hear everything thats going on in the common space and in the other rooms

Review 50:great location close to the city centre
