Reviews for Hotel Schwarzmatt
Review 1：Very little - only minor moans really: There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Despite all the multi-lingual staff, most of the written information (with the exception of the menu) was only in German - although everyone was happy to translate. My 17 year old son was disappointed with the gym - the weights were "tiny" - but I think it was more aimed at the older age group. Something more for the younger ones would be good.
Review 2：Just about everything! Fabulous room (we had the deluxe double) which had elegant, 'traditional but modern' decor and a stunning bathroom. Although the decor in our son's standard double was perhaps a little dated, it was still very nice. The breakfasts were exceptional and the evening meals wonderful, although be prepared to spend a few bob. The staff were all beautifully dressed in traditional costume and were always friendly and very helpful. Almost all the staff speak very good English (and, it appeared, French too). The only people we came across who weren't multi-lingual were the maids. There were also some lovely little touches like the beds being turned down each evening with a lovely chocolate left on the duvet; there was also a plate of biscuits & fruit on arrival.
