Review 1：The room had large spiders, the front desk clerk was very unfriendly, house keeping took our towels and when we asked for 3 more towels the front desk clerk appeared annoyed but did finally give us 3 towels. We were told the coffee room would be open by 8 am and it was not. The phone was not hooked up in the room but did have a note on it stating there was no phone service. We felt that we were not appreciated for the business we gave to the motel for our 3 night stay.
Review 2：We really liked the location of the motel
Review 3：The "shared kitchen" didn't open until 8:30AM, so making a morning coffee was closer to brunch.The office also didn't open until 8:30AM. There was no coffee in the room.
Review 4：The motel was right across the street from the Co-op grocery store, and right downtown. We could see the ocean from our room. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a nice queen bed.Wifi worked well.
Review 5：Uncomfortable pillows. Doors do not close properly. No staff available to help. No elevator. Not clean. Uncomfortable bed. Shower only had cold taps. No fans or air conditioning. WiFi was incredibly slow

Review 17：It felt like a glorified hostel. Minimal utensils; had to replace brokenglass and dishes; oven filthy dirty; no freezer in fridge and lost somefrozen food. Sofa bed should have been replaced 15 years ago - terribleto sit on. Smoke detectors didn't work; unsafe electrical wiringexposed; chairs at table coming apart; patio was just a chair outsidethe door; sink was dirty. We had to wash dishes and clean sink beforeusing. Big hole in wall cover up by an electrical fire place. Leaky tapsin bathroom (hot water was turned off under the sink) and tap at kitchensink was loose. Lamp shades were stained; walls in bedroom dirty.Certainly was not a deluxe suite as advertised. Extremely over pricedfor what we got and would not recommend to anyone!!! The whole placegave us a skuzy feeling. Would have gone somewhere else if we could havegotten our money back. Took pictures to back up our comments.~

Review 19：The workers were so nice. They were pretty kind and friendly. The facilities were better than I expected and clean. Good location, parking lot and view.
Review 20：The things I didn't like was that the heater didn't work. The main light in the bedroom didn't work. Thank God there's a lamp. Maybe they can get a better comforter and pillow case. But overall, it is a good motel.
Review 21：I liked how this motel is close to stores and restaurant. I liked how it is so close to the sea. So I really liked the sea view in our window. It is clean and love the look of the motel outside too. I recommend this motel for short stay. Me and my hubby just stayed here for a night. I didn't expect it to be like a 3 or 5 star hotel that is why I didn't get disappointed.
Review 22：The room we had booked was not nice when we arrived to look at it. The view from the balcony at the back of the property was of an electric pylon. We asked for a better room and were given one at the front of the motel , upstairs, which was marginally better, an extra $15.00 plus tax, and we were told that we must not use the kitchen and also to read the rules that were listed on the counter. Not a good start to a check-in. I really wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone as it is expensive for what it is. Even the flower baskets had all died from neglect.

Review 24：The room quality is at best 2 star, and they are charging an "arm and a leg". Front office staff was rude and very terse. Wifi did not connect, and even when it did, it was molasses slow - not usable. There was no phone in the room. The floorboards were loose and creaking (I felt sorry for the people below me). The room was like an oven, and it had no air conditioning. The bed was hard, and the pillows even harder! This room is, at best $50 per night, and I paid $172. I guess the shower cubicle was so small I had no chance of falling down! I will not be staying here again.

Review 26：We pulled in at noon on our motorcycle after a grueling ride through the mountains. The manager came out and said "Can't park that here - too noisy!" and "Check in is 2pm!" and "you have reservation?" He was rude and made us feel unwelcome right from the start. The room was clean but shabby. The price was $189 with tax which is ridiculous for a rundown motel... But it's Tofino and you don't have to be good to make money there, you've got a captive audience.

Review 29：When I came to check in, the owner came to greet me in his pajamas .. It was the middle of the day. He was rude and it seemed like I was a bother for him. He didn't smile once, didn't say thank you... Would not recommend this hotel. The next night we stayed at the maquina lodge where we got great service. The owners were friendly and actually seemed to care.

Review 46：We got to the hotel at about 4pm and the lobby door was locked. We waited about 45 minutes before the hotel front desk person returned from grocery shopping (I think he may be the owner) and there was no apology...check in and out was easy enough. While waiting for the front desk to return, looked around the back of the facility and it is like a garbage dump. Beds were like sleeping on plywood and the first night I got no sleep because the hardness of the beds made my legs and arms fall asleep all the time. Not terribly clean and when we returned to the hotel after a day out and about, the beds were not remade, just sort of pulled together. Also found a Korean or Japanese candy wrapper in my bed and I had not been the one eating it!!!!

Review 62：the room we were given was an afterthought. It was the only room with the balcony at the back of the building. We couldn't even open the window because the garbage dumpster was right under our balcony. We got to listen to the garbage truck come and empty the dumpster early in the morning. The hotel staff when we checked in was not very friendly. The hotel parking lot did not have enough parking spots. Tofino was a lovely place to visit but unfortunately our experience was ruined because of our accommodations. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Review 63：Our room was down a hallway at rear of the motel,back door opened to the stench of rotting fish. View was back yard of liquor take away. Opened drawer to retrieve extra pillow (only one pillow) and it fell apart. No jug,tea or coffee. Floor in front of fridge felt as though it was about to split open when you stepped on it. Bedside lamp had the shade falling off. There was a kitchen on the lower level near reception which we found at book out time. Staff was unhelpful. Definitely the worst bookings .com accommodation I have stayed in- and there have been many. Always reliable until this one. I was able to see inside the ocean facing units as we left and they looked much better. Oh and the mattress was so worn that we slept in a huddle in the middle where the springs rolled us.

Review 67：First, the towel rack fell off the wall. And the toilet seat came unhinged,also the pillows were quite hard. Mom didn't 't sleep well. I couldn't get wi-fi because I didn't know the Network name, just the password. Then the power went out so we spent the evening in the dark with a candle. My son was told the next day that the power would be out again and felt we couldn't deal with no power, lights, TV, etc. so we left a day early, so our Tofino experience was not the best. Sorry

Review 75：The smallest shower I have ever seen. Place was a bit run down looking. Rooms were all non smoking but guests were allowed to smoke right outside the room causing us to have to walk through smoke to leave our room. Price was $200 dollars with tax for what is really a $80 dollar room. To be honest Tofino has a short season and all motels, hotels and B&B's can charge whatever they want to. I did not see any vacancies anywhere. Almost impossible to use the internet.

Review 77：Rooms was small but clean, just renovated. Staff was friendly and the location was great, you can walk everywhere in town. There is not a minimum stay so a good choice if you can only stay one or two nights and for Tofino it is affordable.
Review 78：The door to our bathroom didn't close The lil uneven part going into the bathroom stubbed my toe on twice it's slightly lower and if you don't remember you do hit it. not horrible but it stuck out And there was a stuffiness smell in the room maybe just from being hot but it was slightly noticeable but in the big picture i would stay here again for sure. nothing that you can't handle it was perfect for what we needed.
