Reviews for Patagonia House

Review 1:The lady manager was very friendly and welcomed us very nicely. The room (sort of a cabanas) was large and well furnished, with all the comforts. The breakfast was rich and good. No WiFi, but you are in a very nice natural environment, so you don't actually need it. A bit uphill with respect to Coyhaique center, just in case you want to be close to the town, it's a 15-min walk. What I found best was that it was super quiet, out in the nature, and yet very well equipped.

Review 2:We were put into a small building from the main building that was not shown in any of the pictures. The food was very good, but then charged a 10% service charge as std including on the room rate. Overpriced for what you got.

Review 3:The pillows were really bad. The wifi was downright terrible - only worked in one corner of the breakfast room. Each lot of guests got different breakfasts which is a little rude.

Review 4:The room is very luxurious and the bed super comfortable. The staff were fine didn't really go out of their way at all for us. Except they did make us a delicious dinner when we returned late one night but you have to request it.

Review 5:They were doing construction on our cabin while we were there. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator.

Review 6:Everyone was helpful. Rosa's food was great and the view was beautiful.

Review 7:A bit hard to discover. One of the window of the bedroom was without curtain (apparently on purpose!) to hide the daylight

Review 8:Beautiful view, Big size of the rooms Very nice breakfast ! Nice interior decoration. Quietness.

Review 9:As with any hotel, anything offered is extra, even if it doesn't seem like it. We were offered water or juice when we arrived and later found out we were charged for the juice. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

Review 10:An amazing place to rest, relax, and enjoy the view. The owner and other staff were really great to talk with. It's a great base of operation to explore the surrounding area and begin or end any trip in Northern Patagonia. The service and food were excellent and the accommodations are top notch!

Review 11:The owner, Ruth, is warm and friendly. She helped us plan the next leg of our trip and really made a difference. The food was exceptionally fresh.

Review 12:As good as it gets without stupid money.

Review 13:The staff really go the extra mile in this beautiful hotel with its luxury suites. A truly gorgeous place in every way with unbeatable vistas. If you're not happy here, you won't be happy anywhere.

Review 14:The first room (a suite) they gave us was not at all what we expected and what the photos in the internet looked like - there was carpet (very badly layed) and the furniture was very spartan - nothing to do with a mountain lodge how it is called...it seemed as if it was not finished. This also holds true for the outside, which makes not a good impression...when we arrived there we were not sure whether we are already there or whether we ended up at a farm or something.

Review 15:After complaining we got another room (an apartment) which was very nice and was like the pictures in the internet. Breakfast was good as well.

Review 16:We had a wonderful stay, the owner helped us with recommendations, organized a cooking for us in the modern kitchen of the Pousada and was taking care of all our needs. We will never forget the evening where we enjoyed the stars on the sky in the garden after a perfect evening at the fireplace of our lodge. This place made our three weeks stay in Chile unique.

Review 17:Nothing!

Review 18:My girlfriend and I stayed at Patagonia House for two nights during mid-November. We were greeted very warmly by everyone and were shown right to our cabin. The room was great, everything was updated and had an amazing view. Ruth, the owner, was extremely helpful in helping us get around in Coyahique, suggesting tours, restaurants, and hikes. The food was also amazing. They prepare home cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner, better than any restaurant we went to. At the end of our stay, Ruth even gave us a ride to the bus depot for the next leg of our trip. Hard to find this kind of service anywhere else; so if you are traveling down in this area, you MUST stay here!

Review 19:We have been travelling with our kids for a couple of months through Latin America. Patagonia House has been by far the best place yet. Aesthetically designed cabins, beautiful grounds, private but close to town. The staff and especially Ruth, the owner, have been wonderful: helping us out with excursions, confirming external bookings, being accommodating in terms if food. Nothing we have asked for has been a problem. It has been truly excellent. We don't want to leave and if we can we will certainly come back. Highly recommended.

Review 20:We've been in Patagonia House for 4 days and we couldn't ask for a better place. Ruth, who is in charge of the place, has been extremly helpful and caring. Her concept of hospitality goes beyond any standard limit. As an example: she prepare dinner for us one day we were coming back late from a daily journey and next night she let us use the kitchen, always with a sincere smile on her face. She's extraordinary in making you feeling better than home. Besides her unic attitude, the place is classy, warm, clean, has outstanding views and you can feel that every detail has been carefully thought. Finally, Ruth knows very well the hole region and gives very useful tips. We are really looking forward to come back soon. Don't hesitate and pick Patagonia House as your choice for Coyhaique.

Review 21:Nice staff, location nice, good food, sweet dogs on the proparty

Review 22:Absolutely nothing!!!!

Review 23:Very well appointed spacious lodge with superb views of countryside. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Evening meal was simple but delicious. Not overlooked so awoke to watch morning skies.

Review 24:Nothing. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 25:The owner and staff of Patagonia House could not have been more interesting, gracious, generous with their time and expertise. This place is awesome! We would like to come back for a longer stay.

Review 26:no soap or shampoo in bathrooms, big TV but no antenna or cable ("just for work" ( ?) said the owner when we asked for it), really bad breakfast (I had to prepare my own table), cold coffee and bread....it looks like a luxury place, but finally is not better than a 2 star cabin. Doesn't worth the money at all!

Review 27:the place is beautiful

Review 28:We booked and paid for a King suite. When we arrived it was notavailable. We were told it was 'occupied'! The first room wewere offered was in the basement with a shared bathroom - we refusedthis. We were eventually given a room with a standard double bed andwithout its own bathroom - the tiny bathroom was across a corridor -noprivacy. The WiFi does not work at all in the hotel. The staff know thisbut it doesn't say this on the web site. We had to walk down toanother facility 250 metres down the lane to get a WiFi connection. Whenwe received our bill we were still charged for and expected to pay forthe King suite, the conversion rate from usd to local was daylightrobbery, plus they had the nerve to put on a 10% service charge! Wedon't normally complain about our bookings but this was justterrible given that we had paid top price for what was described on theBooking.com site as luxury. Beware that you don't get caught out -check what you are going to get before booking. We are still waiting fora refund for our overcharge.

Review 29:The food was excellent.

Review 30:The staffs were very kind and smart. I strongly reccomend this hotel for all users.

Review 31:Staff Environment confort in the house

Review 32:Ruth the manager/owner was so gracious and took care of every request we had. Will go back next time I'm in Coyhaique.
