Reviews for Limmathof Baden Hotel & Spa

Review 1:No Arabic channels available on Tv my family felt bored while I was out side attending my corse so it would be great if the management consider providing Arabic channels. Also microwave is not available at mini bar

Review 2:Great location I stayed at the new building which has modern rooms and suites with mini bar that equipped with cooking material .car parking available but with extra charge.good hotel to stay especially for those who has business events in Baden or Wettingen

Review 3:Limited breakfast - reception closes at 23:00 - no concierge (I handled my luggage) - not comfortable bed - parking is far away (15 euros/night) - 20 minute drive to zurich city center

Review 4:Big rooms - gym - spa - quite place (cozy) coffee and tea in bedroom - beautiful balcony

Review 5:This is a boutique hotel with an amazing spa area (thermal baths, saunas, etc.) Staff is very kind and helpful. Great location and breakfast by the river, at a nearby restaurant. To go to the station, there is a nice promenade down by the river with great views all along (about 10 minutes, then panoramic elevator up). Whole area is very green, quiet, and relaxing. Strongly recommended.

Review 6:Nothing at all.

Review 7:Room was very comfortable and spacious. Felt luxurious. Staff were lovely and helped us out with an adapter plug. Loved Baden, very pretty little town. The spa was amazing and was a highlight for us. Great that it was open until 10pm too. Great big bath in the room too.

Review 8:No elevator - this must be a big drawback for guests coming to be "cured" at the spa-hotel. No lobby, no ability to finish off the day with a drink or so. In this case the hotel suggested a couple of other hotels on the other side of the river. No breakfast in the hotel (although there is a restaurant in the building). Breakfast is served in a adjacent sister-hotel on the other side of the river. We were just lucky that it wasn't raining in the morning.

Review 9:The size of the room was great.

Review 10:Our stay had to end. Eating out is quite expensive.

Review 11:Time out to chill. Enjoying both the Spa facilities and the surrounding countryside. Evening meals in cosy restaurants. The massage.

Review 12:Parking was not nearby and cost 15chf for 24hours. ( usually 32chf without special hotel ticket.)

Review 13:Modern renovated hotel, excellent facilities and attentive staff.

Review 14:Small room, no regular swimming pool (there is only small one with hot water). Overall, the spa facilities did not look impressive. Spa and hotel are in different buildings, which was not convenient. Early check-out. Almost no vegetables in the breakfast menu. Breakfast restaurant is 5 mins walk from the hotel. I would not say it was a spa hotel, just a hotel with some spa services.

Review 15:Good location.

Review 16:The location is great and the staff very friendly. I had to leave very early in the morning and they arranged someone to be there for me for check out.

Review 17:Very nice spa and restaurant. The staffs are friendly and kind. Very modern designed room and the bed was really good quality. We could use the spa after check-out as well. We wanted to stay more.

Review 18:Nothinh

Review 19:Spotlessly clean and well located near the old town and station alikeStaff could not have been more helpful and friendly Breakfast wasprepared individuals for us and very good On the whole could not faultit and will be going back Take a Swiss adaptor as European ones do notfit. If you forget the staff will lend you one

Review 20:Nothing!

Review 21:The service we received was outstanding. Really the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From tra lasting menus, to offering directions to even packing a little breakfast bag on our morning of check out to take with us on way to airport. The room we stayed in was spacious and impeccibly clean. It overlooked the river and was very quiet sowe slept perfectly. The spa was also fabulous and certainly appreciated after flying from Australia. We loved baden and this hotel. Will Definately recommend to anyone travelling to baden stay here, you will love it!

Review 22:Nothing.

Review 23:Excelent location if you have a Room facing the river. Very helpful staff. The SPA is excellent. Breakfast is very nice and you can order itens that are not in the buffe like omelete.

Review 24:Loved the stuff both Anita and the other sweet recipsionist. Very relaxing hotel we loved tge view so much that we didnt like to go out much! Going back in the spring break for sure :)

Review 25:Excellent in every way.

Review 26:We travelled to Zurich and stayed in Baden. SO glad we did. The train ride to Zurich was 15 minutes on frequent trains. This hotel was superbly designed and decorated. Having a mineral bath on the property in a beautiful spa was an over the top bonus. Spacious and immaculate rooms. However, by far the best was the customer service.

Review 27:I would say that the Limmathof Baden was one of the best hotels I have stayed at during our honeymoon trip. Reception was especially warm and welcoming. We dealt with Jessica at the front desk the most and she was so helpful when helping us book our spa treatments and referring dinner accommodations. The rooms are big, the view is great. If you have never been to a spa with thermal pool, it is fantastic!

Review 28:No lifts

Review 29:A lovely spa hotel and although the sauna and steam room were not working the thermal bath was luxurious. A well situated hotel with knowledgeable staff. And we won 90 euros in the casino just up the road!

Review 30:Found spiderwebs in the corners of the balcony and under the bed, towards the headboard when I reached for something I'd dropped. Too warm in the summer due to lack of AC which only the suites have. A fan was available and it helped, we also removed the down conformers to be able to sleep.

Review 31:The overall cleanliness. We stayed in the design building of the Limmathof, as opposed to the historical one and loved the surroundings! Nice balcony where to sit and listen to the river! Excellent breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice, relaxing spa section in the historical building. Short distance (10-15 min) to the center of town on a nice park-like walk by the riverside.

Review 32:There is no air conditioning which, in the summer, makes the rooms in the newer building (east bank of river) far too hot to sleep in despite opening the windows fully and putting the electric fan on full. Mentioned the issue to the staff and they appreciated the comment but were of course unable to help as no air con. - I got the feeling that we were by no means the first people to complain about this...

Review 33:Very good hotel with one notable exception - the rooms in the new building (on the east bank of the river) are far too hot in the summer

Review 34:Very kind and helpful staff, stylish rooms, sense of tradition.

Review 35:The facilities are in another building which was far away

Review 36:The staff of the hotel is very friendly. Especially julia.

Review 37:No A/c in top of old part of hotel

Review 38:Hotels willingness to move us from a very hot room with no A/c to a suite which was much cooler

Review 39:No lift

Review 40:Location room quality

Review 41:Amazing spa area. Great breakfast. Wonderful location, very quiet and green. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Review 42:having my breakfast cooked individually; I also enjoyed the spa waters

Review 43:Very pretty, very easy and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious with so many special treats.

Review 44:Leaving!

Review 45:The attention to detail and how the staff listened!

Review 46:-

Review 47:everything from A-Z

Review 48:The place eating breakfast is not in the living building, the food is nice and the decoration is very good.

Review 49:every thing was very good !!!

Review 50:Nothing

Review 51:Everything

Review 52:Excellent quality of service. I will surely cone back!

Review 53:No aircon, no lift

Review 54:Spa facilities, helpfulness of hotel staff

Review 55:Didn't like it that there infect too separate building 200 metres apart. Plus if lunch menu was a little larger we would've used it

Review 56:Breakfast, Balcony view over the river

Review 57:the description of the facilities are not clear. there are two buildings. there are different spas at the separate buildings. parking is not convenient. it is not explained clearly which amenities are available from which building. it is really problematic when there is not clear communications about the facilities and amenities. expectations are not met and disappointment encountered

Review 58:the facilities are beautiful.

Review 59:Super friendly and helpful staff Location wonderful The best massage I've ever had Wonderful facilities Great breakfast Can't wait to go again

Review 60:Only thing was not aware of was the spa was in the sister hotel across the river. It isn't far but always nice to go for a swim and head back to the room in a robe and slippers

Review 61:Very pleasant experience. Staff bent over backwards to help and were super friendly

Review 62:The spa is small and it can get really busy during lunchtime. For me it does not worth to pay 45CH for an individual visit. The brand is really compised of three buildings so be careful when you book. The spa where the main reception is also for the building next door where the restaurant is and the old building with the rooms which are not accessible by lift. Although I specifically asked for a room accessible by a lift I got a room on the 3rd floor with no lift (top floor in the old building). When you book you have to be careful because the spa is not connected with any of the other hotels (the newest one is across the other side of the bridge - when you book look for riverside view) so when you go out with your bathrobe you are crossing a street! Easy to catch a cold....Also, housekeeping in this hotel needs serious training! spiders net, spiders, uncleaned nespresso machine. The toilet in the spa needs deep cleaning. My room had a lot of spider's net everywhere. One day I had to have breakfast in one restaurant and then on Monday I had to cross the bridge and go over to the other side. Also, the products were different so you do not get the sense that you are staying in the same brand. Tiring and confusing weekend. In one place you get Emmi products and boiled eggs. In the other one you have to ask for the eggs and different products. Some better some worse. Tea was not replenished. Waitress in the new hotel had no clue about the other restaurant....

Review 63:The town is nice and the spa although small it has a nice layout. The staff were pleasant. The room was spacious but with no view as it was in the attic. Bed was comfortable. the sheets were clean although in general rooms need deep cleaning

Review 64:Our room (great view of a wall) was across the street from the part with the spa, which meant (in February) getting completely dressed to go there and again when leaving, rather than just going down in a bathrobe. Not exactly convenient for an elderly person. Also, on Monday morning, not only was the spa closed, we had to cross the river to have breakfast.

Review 65:The staff was very pleasant, the hotel clean and quiet, good breakfast, spa very good, beautiful location.

Review 66:A Long list... No bar. No lift. They close one restaurant/bistro on Saturday night! The other is not officially linked to the Hotel and has no obligation to seat residents. It was small and hence full so we had no ability to eat there and the restaurant didn't want to help us with an alternative. On a slightly more amusing note, there was the remainder of a message in lipstick written on the glass on the side of the shower that had not been properly cleaned off. Funny from one perspective - simply bad housekeeping from another. The hotel is set in a basically derelict area of Baden with many empty buildings around it. Probably the worst value Hotel experience I have ever had.

Review 67:The room was spacious.

Review 68:We had a really great time at the Hotel and Spa, the staff were really kind and professional, the room exquisite with a wonderful view, and the spa really worth a visit! we will be back!

Review 69:Too big and wide window open to the neighbourhood houses so I had to close the curtains even during daytime, and seems the hotel wasn't constructed with eco-friendly materials, I could get some kind of smell at room...

Review 70:Very big room with well-equipped kitchen, let me feel at home. Also, the reception staffs were very nice.

Review 71:Small room Breadfast very light

Review 72:Located in city center Bed and pillow very confortable

Review 73:No Restaurant within easy reach on a Monday evening. Not suitable for business, no desk or sensible chair.

Review 74:Breakfast Good internet connection If you have time: You can use the gym and the spa!

Review 75:Good location, close to the Baden Centre (just a short walk along the river), very clean and good thermal baths
