Review 1：When my wife checked this place out on your website in early October, it had a rating much higher, based on this we booked the room. It was only when we arrived and saw the poor state of repair and uncleanliness, we felt that the rating was not as it should have been. We felt that bookings.com had let us down, by giving this place the rating that was very wrong. We now feel that maybe we might start looking at other booking sites, instead of yours for hotel ratings. We do not understand how a rating could change so quickly, knowing that this hotel has been in disrepair for such a long period of time.

Review 2：Nothing to like

Review 3：All their outside signs & online info is wrong/out if date. They have no restaurant anymore - which was a factor in choosing them. There are no restaurants near by other than a Gas Station with a Subway. Saw a mouse run across the floor on my last night, told the clerk upon checkout. There were very noisy guests some nights but I don't expect differently from cheap motels. One of the light switches was broken leaving no light on one side of the room. Thermostat was malfunctioning. I had to crank it to the max before it would come on at all, & even then it was chilly. The shower was luke warm, wouldn't get hot at all & in fact ran cold at the "hottest" position on the tap. They didn't have a free airport shuttle, as advertised. Again, another reason I chose them.

Review 4：Proximity to transit & attractions was good. Relatively clean.

Review 5：Tv was out for 2 days and could not come back on.Housekeping could use some lessons as there were chip crumbs and dirt under the bed sheets.

Review 7：When we first checked in the room we were in had ripped wall decor , the room smelled like cigarettes... And it was a non smoking room. When my friend went to use the washroom therea was someone elses bowel movement in there and the toilet would not flush. They switched us to another room which had no heat or hot water the entire time we were there. They boast of a 24 hr restaurant but they dont even have a restaurant. The hot tub did not work nor did the sauna. And the staff was in our room when we were not there and they have very poor customer service skills.

Review 10：Upon arrival it looked sum what questionable, but that we would chance it, after looking at the room, (the sheets Looked clean) but the room looked like an hourly rate room. The restaurant is no longer operating, junk in the corner near the reception ~ got my money back and got the hell out!no longer

Review 18：- Contrary to its advertised appearance, the pool appeared to be in a condemned state (it is currently shut down, with its water taking on an algae-green colour) - Second floor access to my hotel suite (218) from back parking lot is impeded by a fire door with a non-functional door handle. - Portion of door trim peeled off the wall in the bathroom of my hotel suite as I opened the door to exit the bathroom.

Review 20：It was avertised to have a pool which is the only reason we booked there , got the paid and was told after words the pool was closed , it was avertised to have a restaurant it was closed , room was dirty , tv had marks down it , it was a really scary place to stay , hall ways were very dirty and gross, the breakfast consisted of only cereal and coffee was cold , staff didn't seem to care about anything , it really was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in , way over priced ! ,

Complimentary breakfast featured stale croissant and tang instead of o.j.

Attendant was speaking on his cellphone while I was trying to tell him that I had lost my money in the dispenser machine but hadn't gotten my bottle of water that I wanted. The rooms are not very soundproof. I could go on and on!

Review 70：It was close to where we were having a birthday party for my brother. We had a roof over our head to sleep.

Review 71：Unprofessional staff. Receptionist was sleeping when I tried to checkout at 730am, had to wake them up. Appearance of front desk was sketchy at best. Rooms outdated, floral blankets, smells like smoke even in non smoking, ac unit was broken in room, where do I end? You get what you pay for.

Review 75：I didn't like that there was no wi-fi access either in the rooms or the front desk all day and evening Sat.No explanation was known by the staff. We had difficulty watching TV. because the clock on the TV had not adjusted to the time change and, despite the staff attempts, no one could change it. So therefore if a show was on at 11 pm you couldn't see it until 12.Frustrating. I am hopeing they called a technician to fix it as I lodged a complaint at the front desk and filled out the comment card in the room. The room was very clean but the carpets were filthy and need to be replaced and the walls need to be painted. I know this is only cosmetic stuff but cosmetics are what people like and remember. The VLT's in the lobby need to be blocked off from public view. Maybe just visually monitored as it is now but close it in so they are away from public view. There is a seedy undercurrent when you walk in the lobby and see people gambling. And some people are against gambling and would not appreciate seeing that. My other problem is that someone had a yappy dog across the hall from us. When we got to our room door that evening around 11 pm the dog was barking and continued to bark for 2 HOURS!! I assume the owners weren't in the room otherwise the dog wouldn't have barked that long. The dog began barking again at 6 or 6:30 the next morning.If the hotel wants to accomodate people with dogs then a certain section of the hotel,AWAY FROM OTHER PEOPLE, should be designated for them. It is extremely annoying when you don't have a dog and you have to listen to someone elses pet keeping you awake. Maybe a rule should be made that you can't leave a dog unattended. I didn't call the hotel staff as I didn't want to risk the staff being bitten by the dog. I wonder where the dog pees and poops etc. when their owners are gone?

Review 76：I liked the staff .All the cleaning,restaurant, front desk staff were friendly and helpfull. They are definately Colonial Inn's best asset.The continental breakfast was an asset as well. I liked the fact it was so close to Harbor Station that we could walk there.The room and bathroom were clean and furnishings nice. Although we didn't go to the pool,it was nice to have a pool,if we wanted to go swimming . The hot tub was broken which was unfortunate.

Review 77：Mold on the plastic non stick bathtub mat! Mold in the refrigerator! Very cold floors, carpet and tiles. Very cold room all 3 days, even after turning the heat all the way up and leaving it up!!! Hot tub was out of order for 3 days! Had disabled and elderly travellers who had to cross too much ice to enter an 'accessible' room-dangerous! Wifi did not work. Sorry, not a good stay at all.

At 6:30 pm we were asked to keep quite, even after I explained that it was a birthday for my daughter. They said that it wasnt booked that way and I told them that it was and gave the names of the staff I had spoken to. They asked if i would contain the girls to the room, I said absoultely not as they wanted to swim. They were rude and ignorant! I asked for a refund but was denied. We actually left the room and went to stay elsewhere. There was not good parking and one of my daughters friends pointed out a used condom in the driveway! I would never reccomend this hotel to anyone!

Review 82：Could not leave the hotel til after 11:30am because the parking lot wasnt cleaned up quickly after a snow storm. Breakfast wasnt very good and coffee was horrible. Several exit signs were not working. A bucket was in hallway because there was a water leak. Hallways smelled like cigaretted even tho it was a non smoking area. Very slippery conditions near rear entrance door.

Review 96：the first room i was checked into had a flooded bathroom and ceiling tiles fallin from the ceiling. the room was in need of repairs from furniture to the heaters and paint job, tile work in the bathroom etc. Other persons hair on all the pillows in the room. 2 days after a snow storm, on new years eve, the parking lots were still unplowed. at 2am the tv service went out, and other than the front desk attendent saying if it was unplugged he could help they were useless.
