Review 1：The fold out futon was impossible to return to couch position. I actually hurt my back attempting it. Also, the cutting board was awful. Seems silly but when chopping lots of veggies makes a difference.

Review 9：We brought our bikes, but there was no bicycle stand on the property and no info on where we can safely store them, so we temporarily locked them beside the pathway to the beach. Later we found a note on the bikes saying: "Move your bikes or I will cut the locks." Unsigned. We went to the reception to ask why we are being threatened instead of informed, but the manager told us "this is my resort", and if we write a bad review, she will write a bad review on us.. Now, I'm not sure how this combative, rude creature got a management position in the hotel industry, but this is not a way to treat guests who are unfamiliar with the property.. It put a huge stain on our vacation, and we will never go back.

Hardly enough room to fit 2 people, never mind 2 dogs- Bathroom is incredibly small - Misleading website - Unfriendly staff who did not go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. No flexibility in office hours.. couldn't reach anyone until 10am! - "Used up your limit of Internet".... what?!?! Website says WIFI included!!! - Poor value for what you get

Review 18：We traveled to Tofino on a rather tight budget and wanted to stay close to the beach. A kitchenette was a must. These cabins are basic but comfortable and clean. The pool and hot tub were a bonus, they were older but adequate. Our cabins proximity to the beach was fantastic. Just steps away. Mackensie beach had a great family vibe, it was great to see everyone enjoying the evening in front of campfires all up and down the beach. We had a great stay.

Had to pay up front without viewing the room. When asked for a refund they said not their policy. Paper thin walls could hear crystal clear conversations of the people staying next to us. No room in washroom to put any toilettries. could not even plug in a blow dryer. We got scammed....how do I get refunded, this is not acceptable

Review 70：For $250/night I expect everything to be perfect. The jets in the bathtub didn't work, the faucet in the shower sprayed everywhere. The floors were very cold, even when the baseboard heaters were cranked and the fire was roaring. There were a lot of odds and ends that needed attention: paint chipping in certain areas, broken plates on electrical outlets, hot tub looked nasty. The place just needs overall TLC.

Review 86：This was the worst stay within our three weeks holiday in otherwise super-beautiful Western Canada. The "resort" and in particular ourcabin was in a horrific condition. We stayed in a cabin and everything(floor, washroom, kitchen, ...) was extremely dirty and had not beenproperly cleaned in month, notwistanding the fact that the place shouldhave been completely renovated 20 years ago already.We had booked for two nights, but after one night we checked out completely dissatisfied. After an hour of discussions, the personell (which was rude and asolutely unqualified in terms of customer service and the English language for that matter) at least payed the 2nd night rate back. After another discussion, I finally got a receipt which should have stated the amount for the first night which I had payed. Instead the receipt stated "0 $" as a total invoice amount. This seems very dodgy and even looks like money laundering to me. Other customers have even reported that they found drugs in their room. I cannot understand why this "resort" does not have more negative feedback as nobody can stay there with a positive experience (in my opinion, anyway). There are better places to stay, even on the same beach, to under all circumstances, avoid to visit Mackenzie Beach resort.
