Reviews for Hôtel du Parc Orford

Review 1:The decoration... Christmas is not yet here!! :/ A little bit creepy ;) But we enjoyed!

Review 2:The hotel is well located, near an entrance of the Orford park.

Review 3:Could ise some major updating, fels like the 70s

Review 4:Price was competitive, actually, second cheapest we could find. When you don't care so much about all the adds on and only want a bed, perfect

Review 5:The hotel décor is very old and dated. The furniture in the bedroom is also very dated and basic although clean. No frills here, just the basics. The bed however was very hard and the pillows too soft so I didn't sleep very well. Bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water. Towels were very clean also.

Review 6:Location was near Magog. Service at front desk was exceptional. Wifi service was great and fast. Quiet surroundings and rooms. Room is spacious.

Review 7:* Staff not friendly * Bed is not good specially the extra bed required, it collapsed while sleeping. * Room smells bad and TV not working.

Review 8:Eventually nothing!!

Review 9:Wifi stopped working.

Review 10:Great location near to Mt. Orford, but still a quick drive into the town of Magog. Was great to have a full-sized fridge in the room.

Review 11:Breakfast was only on weekends but when booking it was misleading we thought breakfast would be included. If without car no grocery or convenient store close by. The surly attitude of Andree the receptionist.

Review 12:The courteous manner of most of the staff. The walking trails that started close to the place.

Review 13:No wifi in our room. Owner said it was the fault of our "equipment"--I have a state-of-the-art iPad. We were encouraged to go into the busy lobby to get wifi.

Review 14:Mostly clean. First night, dirty towels were on back of the door. Quiet and close to everything we needed to see.

Review 15:Bed was very hard and room smelled a bit musty. We were only guests so a bit odd at first but it was peaceful.

Review 16:Price right so expectations were not high. Staff were polite and helpful.

Review 17:We travelled with friends and we were the only two families there....a little strange and creepy. The bed was hard and the restaurant wasn't open due to the lack of occupants

Review 18:The proximity to the ski hill was wonderful (less than 5 minutes) and the price was great.

Review 19:To call this motel threadbare would be an understatement. We stayed in a room with two double beds. Granted this is the lowest-level of room available, we at least expected it to be clean. The previous guest's soap was still in the shower. While the sheets and towels do seem to have been washed, the room itself was badly in need of a thorough cleaning and coat of paint. There were weird stains on the wall under the vents and the bathroom had dirt caked in the coroner. Chipped and cracked linoleum tiles (yes, that's right) didn't help. The soundproofing between rooms was no-existent and we could hear the verbatim conversation of the people in the next room. At $129 a night we weren't expecting frills but we were expecting comfortable and clean.

Review 20:The location was great. Close to bike paths, provincial nature park and lake.

Review 21:The wall colour in hotel and room is so dark and so old-style that one feels right away that it is not a clean place to stay The bed covers in rooms are also dark and out-of-style and look dirty, although they are not. If they painted everything white and replaced the bed covers, this would help. The room is not sound proof.

Review 22:Location and proximity to bike path. Swimming pool is great. Staff is considerate and accommodating. Clean

Review 23:I came to Magog to work at the triathlon weekend. This involved early mornings and I was able to slip out quickly. The hotel was ideally close to the race and race site and yet just far enough away to be quiet. The staff was so helpful with maps and directions. They also got me a hot tea at the end of each long day of working. So appreciated! Would love to return to ski in the winter.

Review 24:The hotel is a bit isolated, but there are 2 gas stations and a few restaurants within 3km range. Besides that not much to complain about for the price

Review 25:Élevâtor

Review 26:Quiet And cleanness

Review 27:Large room with two double beds.

Review 28:Nice te be able to park by back door...

Review 42:Price too high for a old motel I had to pay extra because we were 3 adultes when i booked it was for 2 adult and 2 kids.....

Review 43:Good breakfast at very good price

Review 44:Location was close to ski resort Reception was very hospitable Room was clean and comfortable Everything you would want especially for the price

Review 45:Bad luck looking for a good meal at a reasonable price in the area--maybe we missed the right place, or maybe you should bring a fat walletor a cooler full of food if you want to eat in Magog area. Didn'tquite understand why heavy Christmas decorations were up on the 13th ofOctober, but sort of got used to them

Review 46:Clean, quiet, comfortable, room with a window that opens. Good valuefor the price (got a good internet discount off of list price.) Veryhelpful staff.

Review 47:Look like a Motel, no breakfast, 19'' TV with VHS player and the bed offer an ordinary comfort, only 3 pillows. For 141$ with taxes (for breakfast, add more than 30$ for two at 1.5 km)

Review 48:Very close to Magog and Mont Orford, the staff is very friendly. Clean. Coffee not so bad, and free.

Review 49:The heating fan was plugged into the A.C. unit and the thermostatdidn't work so I froze all night. Next morning, she told me I shouldhave plugged it into the heater or something like that... Everybodyknows that right? I should have called her at 3 A.M. when I startedbeing cold.

Review 50:Big room, the T.V. and shower work ok.

Review 51:Does show signs of age, but still fully ok!

Review 52:Brilliant value for money! Location is absolutely great and not very far from town - 5 min drive. Wifi fast & good signal throughout. Spacious, clean & nice rooms.

Review 53:No hot tub but for money paid for room wouldn't expect one.

Review 54:Large room, quiet, very clean, friendly staff at desk, drive up to door, 5 mins from ski hill, excellent value, beds comfortable, large bathroom.

Review 55:Impossible to state any dislikes, for our length of stay. Could maybe be equipped with accessories to make a breakfast, example toaster and a few dishes. There was coffee in the lobby a.m. nice touch.

Review 56:Spacious room, clean, equipped with fridg. beds comfortable. Friendlyand courtious reception, informative.Very good location for our stay.

Review 57:The owner wasn't all that helpful. I had to shovel the snow from thedoor to our unit twice.

Review 58:The price was great and it is the closest motel to the ski hill. Clean.

Review 59:The proximity with Magog, the city I was visiting, the quietness andbeauty of the environment. It was very clean and lots of space. When Ireturn in the area, Hôtel du Parc Orford will definitely be my choiceagain. Agathe Blier, Eganville, Ontario

Review 67:the marathon 42km

Review 68:Large rooms, great value for your money. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 69:The motel is in a great location if you want to enjoy the outdoor pursuits at nearby Mont Orford.

Review 70:Hotel is dated and damp. The room always felt damp. One day after putting in a 12 hour day, I returned and my room hadn't been done.

Review 71:Beautiful environment and quite

Review 72:Everything a motel should have, nothing more nothing less. Great value for the money, stayed one night.
