Reviews for Hotel Zlaty Andel
Review 1:Staff found and returned a left behind item and sent to another address. Great central location. Reception desk staff most helpful for local acitivites. Pre-booked parking service great.
Review 2:We had constant noise problems - they were doing renovations and started work at 7am, including starting a chain saw outside our window at 7.30am. A noisy group came into the hotel at 9.30pm yelling at each other until they sorted their rooms out. Would not quieten down when I asked them to. The noise from the local night club didn't finish until after 1.30am. To top it off the fire alarm beeped all night. Not a good experience. When I said all of this to reception, they merely said that the builders get up at 5am and like to start work early - too bad for the guests!
Review 3:Historic hotel in a great location
Review 4:Breakfast room dirty and unkept. Reservations first accepted thru Booking.com then refused by a phone call saying their was a mistake and they were full. Promised us a room at another hotel but upon arrival gave us a lovely room.
Review 5:Large gorgeous room
Review 6:The male waiter on Monday was not very polite. Needs an elevator as there was too many stairs to the 4th floor. Noisy(loud drunk voices) at night due to their music bar being open late.
Review 7:Relaxing and laid back environment
Review 8:Breakfast is listed till 10AM, yet, the eggs and sausages were gone by 9:26AM (there were plenty of carbohydrates), and the kitchen was cleaned already. At the end, we have received freshly made eggs and sausages 20 minutes later, but it was an awkward situation during which the personnel didn't communicate with us.
Review 9:Great location, friendly front desk staff, beautiful room, clean. After a careful selection of a hotel that has some charm, comfort and has a class, our expectations were met at 100%.
Review 10:Hotel lacks soundproof windows, one night we couldn't sleep till 4AM (There is music club under the hotel). Room was very noisy. You could hear every single word of the normal conversation on the street. Room was quite big with a kitchen but totally not qualifies as 4 star hotel not for this price.
Review 11:The staff is really nice and polite, they are always there to help.
Review 12:Very difficult to sleep in our room (Room 16) due to the noise coming from the bar/disco downstairs until 3am. No hot water in the shower in the morning. Also the bar is smoking inside, so didn't feel like having a drink there ourselves.
Review 13:The building has been renovated in a utilitarian style, not for style. Lots of stairs and no one available to carry the luggage. The outside is not as attractive as the photo, as a not very attractive front terrace overwhelms the building. Very spotty internet connections, weak in the bedroom, a corner of the breakfast room was the best spot.
Review 14:At night it got noisy. We had a room on the square and not all tourists are in tune with people's normal sleeping patterns. However, this is not the hotel's responsibility!
Review 15:Old beautiful hotel with many stairs!
Review 16:Excellent location in the heart of old town. Able to walk easily everywhere!
Review 17:Beautiful room fabulous location
Review 18:No AC. Loud room with windows open. Lively though..
Review 19:Great town. Great location, great staff
Review 20:fantastic location. friendly service
Review 21:N/A
Review 22:Location is good. Friendly staff.
Review 23:several flights of stairs to get to our room and a lack of air conditioning. Our room had no view.
Review 24:good location and excellent breakfast included
Review 25:Parking not adjacent to the hotel.
Review 26:Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Very spacious room. Very clean.
Review 27:The bedroom was very dated with many religious pictures
Review 28:The hotel was central
Review 29:Got a bed that made some noise
Review 30:Location Available and friendly service Facilities Space
Review 31:It was a little expensive. The bed is VERY firm. The worst part was the noise. The festival was right outside the hotel which is okay, but when it was over at midnight, the music from the bar downstairs started until after 4 am. Almost impossible to sleep.
Review 32:Good location in the center. It would be excellent if there were no festival going on. The breakfast was very good.
Review 33:Wonderful staff and our room was spacious and clean. I wished the bathroom was on the same floor in our room (had to go up about 5 steps and I'm usually up a couple times a night). I don't think all of the rooms are like that. Besides that, this hotel was perfect. The location is simply the best in the town square. The restaurant 'Don Julius' was excellent food and great service. The authentic Czech food was actually better than many restaurants we enjoyed in Prague, and was priced very reasonably. Their soups were outstanding! Very very nice people and willing to go out of their way for you!! The manager parked our car for us, hauled all of our luggage in (4 heavy pieces) to our room, and refused to accept a tip from us as he said it was 'part of his job'. We did tip the waiters and servers and they accepted! This is a gem of a spot.
Review 34:Elevator is essential for 5-star hotel. Very tired to get up and down from the third floor.
Review 35:Excellent location in the center of old town square and easy to walk around to Lazebnicky Bridge and Krumlov Castle. The room is clean, comfy and antique with duplex type that can be overlooked town square and castle. Wonderful café in front of hotel, awesome dinner restaurant and great breakfast with variety foods. Staffs are friendly and diligent.
Review 36:great location. Wonderful antique furnishings in large room. Helpful and friendly staff, helped us with our car and bags form their parking lot a few blocks away. You cant really drive your own car directly to the hotel.
Review 37:No elevator, but understandable since it's in an old world hotel.
Review 38:Hotel is centrally located in the town square near the Info center, restaurants, shopping, etc. Andy the manager changed our room upon request to a very nice, large modern room with a great view. He was also very welcoming and helpful with restaurant ideas, etc.
Review 39:Ideally located in the square of Cesky Krumlov. The quaint hotel with friendly staff is close to the castle, shopping and restaurants. Rooms were clean and overlooked the town and castle.
Review 40:We are fifty year old first-timers to Prague, absolutely delighted with the city and Hotel Tyl. Extremely easy to find (we took public transport from the airport); the room was gorgeous, dark and quiet; Staff especially friendly and helpful; breakfasts scrumptious; and the location was ideal. I'd we are ever lucky enough to return, we will definitely stay here again. We recommend this hotel for ANYONE,
Review 41:Well, interior is decent 3-star hotel, but definitelly not 4-star as advertised. We have got discounted price 1800 Kc, which is for 3-star a bit above average, but acceptable. However full price 2900 Kc per room seems to me really heavy overpriced. Breakfast just average. Beds were not comfortable for me (typical 3star), maybe someone else will be fine with it.
Review 42:Nice hotel in the middle of downtown seated in historical buildings. Be prepared to step many stairs as there is no lift (kind of drawback of historical building). Clean place, large rooms and personel in reception also helpful. Hotel has private parking, which is great advantage in Cesky Krumlov. Central location is also handy.
Review 43:Position close all attractions Right in old town square
Review 44:There is no eleveter, so it's hard to climb stairs.
Review 45:Breakfast is tasty.
Review 46:Hot water please , in the bath!
