Reviews for Camping Jungfrau - Holiday Park

Review 1:Honestly. Nothing but few points I have in mind to make place more comfortable... And enjoyable.. Check out time if you guys can extend it to 11-12 pm will be nice specially for people traveling long distances to thier countries ... Second ; if you can place a large camp tent in one place so people can set inside it and have coffee or drink and meet each other that would be great to share experiences and fun...

Review 2:From moment we reached place we felt home . Staff are amazing well organized, smiling all the time and really professional... I really liked place , it is truely amazing , bungalow was nice , feels different and it was a nice experience... Driving to place was easy using navigation... We really enjoyed our stay and for sure I will choose place next time I visit Switzerland... In my opinion people there are much friendlier than people in cities ... Keep it up and hope to see you next year ... Was nice meeting family that r running this lovely camp

Review 3:No toiletries and hair dryer.

Review 4:The staff and specially the reception guy was really helpful. The facilities are good. Overall a really good experience. A convenient and good location to make base.

Review 5:Wifi signal is very bad. No basic condiments in the kitchen like sugar and salt.

Review 6:Super cosy and comfortable. Very convenient as car can be parked beside the bungalow.

Review 7:Wi fi did not work in the room and had to go out all the time to use it ?

Review 8:Loved the small cottage like accomodation with all facilities. Staff was extremely helpful and also great restaurant in site.

Review 9:There is nothing we did not like.

Review 10:The location was excellent! It was an easy walk to town and the train station. The views from our cabin were lovely. We stayed in a 2 bedroom mobile home and it was clean, well equipped, and well located. Although busy, having access to the laundry was great. It was nice to have the cafe, bar, and store on sight - all at reasonable Switzerland prices. We were able to book excursions on site. The staff was friendly and helpful. Transportation from the train station was a great help on our arrival and departure dates.

Review 11:Our train from milan had cxld, i call hotel to inform arrival will delay till unknown, due to cold weather we need help from station to hotel and i didn't give clear message to hotel staff but she still send shuttle to wait for us. Thank for all arrangement.

Review 12:no breakfast served, far from railway stations but hotel provide free pick/up service

Review 13:can see the mountain and waterfall from window warm and comfortable inside room food is good with reasonale price a small shop where you can buy food drinks

Review 14:I will not say it is my bad experience or something i didn't like, this is just a suggestion... - Reception opening & closing timing is difficult to catch up. If the reception can be opened from 6:00am to 10:00pm, travelers will be a happy lot. - Wi-fi is weak indoors, if that can be rectified it will be helpful. - This one is something you can't help it.....the frequent loud noise of the helicopters buzzing in the mountains. Air Glacier base is nearby i guess.

Review 15:Everything about this place is amazing. The staff is helpful, kind, friendly and always smiling. The cottage we stayed is beautiful with all the amenities and kitchenette available. The mini departmental store near the Reception offers variety of foods to choose from and we enjoyed our 2 nights stay to the fullest. The location is amazing with Staubach falls just behind our cottage. Train station is a walk away. I cannot think of anything better. This is our home away from home. I will come back again.

Review 16:Camping Jungfrau is the perfect base to explore the stunning surrounding valleys , short walk from the train station accommodation clean comfortable . Staff were great!

Review 17:Welcoming staff, the hotel located a bit far from train station, but the hotel offers free shuttle which is very convenient. There's a restaurant located right next to reception, has pizza, spagetti, coffee etc., and a mini grocery store as well.

Review 18:Nothing at all.

Review 19:We've stayed here before, and we love it. The location is great, at the end of town, easy access to a lovely hike and right next to the Staubach Falls, a view out our window!. The accommodations, a mobile home, are wonderful - clean, comfortable and a kitchen with the basics to cook your own meals, etc. The campground has a grocery store that is reasonable, a staff that is super friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you, and a restaurant on site that is the best in the city and the facilities are great - quiet in general, even with lots of tour buses with young people coming in every few days...all in all, just perfect.

Review 20:Check-out time was a bit early (10am). My friend had fever and sick on the last day but late check-out or any place for short-term resting could not be offered as our train leaving time was 3pm. We couldn't find other resting place for these several hours as time for checking-in in other hotels/ hostels was 3pm.

Review 21:Staff was helpful and knowledgeable in introducing activities and was easy to communicate.

Review 22:-The best place I stayed a long my trip in Europe. This is what I want. -Looking forward to come again! -Stay in mobile homes -Peaceful! -Love everything here.

Review 23:the wifi signal is not very good.

Review 24:It's the kind of dream wooden house I wanna stay. Not too big, but very cozy. Farmland and mountains around. Every morning wake up with the birds singing and beautiful sound of the cow bell.

Review 25:Nothing. One night we drank a bit too much and left our shoes outside. In the morning the laces were cut! But not the propertys fault.

Review 26:The mobile home my fiancé and I stayed in was completely renovated or new. We felt like we were in an ikea catalog. Close to the restaurant and mini grocery shop. Great bed and great kitchen and porch! The view of Stubbauch falls was a plus!

Review 27:No oven in the kitchenette

Review 28:We stayed in a chalet at the camp site for 2 nights in August. Fantastic location with breath-taking views all around. The site offers a real mix of types of stay (tent to chalet) - something for everyone and attracts a wide range of nationalilties.

Review 29:The range of the wifi can certainly improve

Review 30:Location though is bit away from the train station...d holiday park is at a great place. One thing I did not realise is dat dey provide check in and check out shuttle service.

Review 31:There's no soap and hand wash. It's the first time I living in a hotel without soap and hand wash. I could not understand and I don't think it's a an acceptable way for cost reduction. And the WiFi is so poor. During 3 days in the hotel, I just have 5 mins or 10 mins on internet.

Review 32:Good position and wonderful environment, even 15 mins to railway station. A lot of cooking facility, so you could cook by yourself. A different living experience in caravan.

Review 33:The wifi was very temperamental. I asked at reception and they claim it works everywhere outside (in the campground) but not in the buildings. Hmmm.

Review 34:Super-friendly staff, very clean and well-equipped. Reception closes for a couple of hours in the middle of the day, but there were employees stationed at the front who got us settled and we came back and formally checked in afterwards. Great little store on site (reasonably-priced by Swiss standards) and they have loads of tourist information (including discount tickets to several local attractions). We stayed in a two bedroom bungalow and it was furnished with a microwave, dish soap and all necessary pots and pans. Location is very central. You can walk from the campground to several attractions including Staubach falls, the cable car station and the train station.

Review 35:Only negative was not very good free wi fi in our mobile home.

Review 36:The location are quiet and so relaxing.Very nice place.Amazing views of waterfall and mountains from the apartment windows. The mobile home is comfortable and clean. Friendly and helpful staffs .

Review 37:Only negative was that the free wifi voucher given to us didn't work in our accommodation only when we walked to reception.

Review 38:The campsite is excellent in a stunning location next to the Staubbach Waterfall which lovely views of the mountains at the end of the valley and next to fast flowing river. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our accommodation (caravan) was superb - comfortable, clean and had everything we required. There was a porch extension to the caravan which housed the bathroom (great shower) which gave space in the caravan for a 'walk-in wardrobe'! The restaurant was also great - lovely food (large portions) at a good price. If you want a particular table, you need to reserve in advance. Service was a little slow but not too bad. Visit Trummelbach falls (30 min walk from campsite) - amazing! Discounted tickets from reception.

Review 39:Too much to enjoy in a short while Should be regulated :)

Review 40:People were great Location fabulous Weather hot Facilities clean and more than adequate Plenty of utensils linen and hot water Recommend to no one want to keep for ourselves :)

Review 41:WIFI was patchy - maybe just the location of our cabin, but we often had to go near Reception/Restaurant to get good wifi reception.

Review 42:Staff were great, facilities (in cabin & on site) were great. Couldn't get a better location.

Review 43:WiFi sometimes unstable Cabin felt bit small mainly due to lot of furniture Nothing else

Review 44:Excellent Location with stunning scenery Amazing views of waterfall/mountains from the apartment windows Fully Equipped Kitchen with almost all the utensils The entire mobile home was super clean Friendly and very helpful staff Free pickup and drop off to/from train station during check in/check out Will certainly return

Review 45:everything! Position near waterfall, snow capped mountain view, flowing river, cute town within walking distance (cafe's, banks, shops, grocery, tours, rail) cosy restaurant, great staff

Review 46:There is nothing to dislike.

Review 47:Campground is very professionally managed with well maintained facilities. Located in a beautiful location with a variety of places to stay. Restaurant is great and the on-site store is well stocked.

Review 48:The washing machine and dryer are common.- pay and use. There are enough of them. Mosquito is a problem. In summer, you need to keep the windows open for ventilation as there is no AC.

Review 49:The place is beautiful. The train station for Jungfrau is just 15 mins walk. Car parking is available in the camp. Took a bungalow and had nice time with family. There is a restaurant opening at 0730 hrs and closing at 2200 hrs. There is a small supermarket for all daily needs. Totally a different experience than a routine hotel or appartment. Wooden bungalow between water falls and mountains. You can see the snow on the mountains from the camp.

Review 50:Liked everything

Review 51:The location of this site has to be seen to be believed. Nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and an abundance of magnificent walking trails easily accessable through different modes of transport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our second visit to this beautiful place and will certainly return. Can't recommend a visit to Lauterbrunnen highly enough.

Review 52:Wifi was terrible. Cabin really small for 4 adults. Curtains, lamp shades, upholstery etc was really dusty, triggered bad allergy attack. No pets allowed in cabins.

Review 53:Location, Lovely resort, good food, stunning scenery.

Review 54:We had problems with the hot water, so they reimbursed us 20CHF for our inconvenience. They also had a nice small grocery store for food and supplies.

Review 55:One of the most beautiful locations in Switzerland with waterfalls, snow capped mountains, grasslands, farms and Swiss chalets. We know, we were there one month in the entire country. Cabin was great. Don't miss staying in Lauterbrunnen.

Review 56:The wifi was very poor. It was difficult to log on with mobile devices.

Review 57:The campsite and accommodation was clean in every area. The restaurant was of a high standard with very friendly staff and the staff in the shop couldn't have been more helpful even though they were very busy with other customers.

Review 58:None

Review 59:We have a cosy caravan with everything needed. The caravan is an upgraded RV. The big waterfall can be seen through the windows. The store on camping site is very convenience. Everything is perfect.

Review 60:There was a power outage in our mobile home. We work up in petty cold room in the morning and had to wait until somebody to fix it when office open at 8:00. It could be just isolated situation, we might be just unlucky. The water in the shower was not consistent hot.

Review 61:Great location. The waterfall is so close. Great staff, they pick you up and drop off at train station. They are very helpful providing informations around the area.

Review 62:The site could do with more 3 bed mobile homes/bungalows. They were all fully booked and as our children get older a small bunk bed room between them is just too small.

Review 63:Stunning location. Friendly, helpful and relaxed staff. Easy 10 minute walk from the town - Airtime is a cafe in the town that I'd highly recommend.

Review 64:Wifi spotty, no oven

Review 65:Great facilities! Awesome bungalow for our family. Beds were very comfortable. On site restaurant quite good and prices reasonable for Switxerland. On site market convenient tho it would be cheaper to walk to the Coop in town!

Review 66:We booked 2 bangalows. Staffs were very kind and helpful. Especially, the staffs of aged man helped us to repair the warming until night. Moreover, we had many luggage, when we checked out, the staffs gave a pick up service. Thanks to the service, our family could take the trains.

Review 67:Wi-fi in accommodation not very strong.

Review 68:Mobile home spotless, appeared to be new. Awesome view of falls from patio, Kitchen well-equipped, large fridge, location excellent as town centre on one side and beautiful walks on the other, free shuttle from and to station, good info desk where tickets to Schilthorn, etc can be bought. Staff very helpful....for example I had trouble connecting to wi-fi due to settings on my mobile phone and someone from the back office was found who resolved the problem for me.

Review 69:Nothing really not to like. A little walk from station (10min walk) but there is a bus if needed.

Review 70:Stayed in mobile home. Very friendly and Helpful, clean too. Good for families with noisy toddlers! Cooked our own food and saved a lot as eating out in Switzerland is 3x cost of United States.

Review 71:The cabin was well positioned and extremely comfortable. The views were stunning, the restaurant was convenient and the camp ground offered a supermarket and laundry. Reception staff were extremely helpful and transportation is available to and from the site if needed.

Review 72:We arrived after reception closing time but someone was waiting with pamphlets all ready. Someone took us to our cabin. It was a pleasant surprise because it was comfortable. Nice outdoor stay for the not so outdoor type.

Review 73:it was a tad expensive at the grocer. I guess all of Switzerland is. Was slightly muddy to get to the mobile home (as it was raining when we arrived). Would suggest a small trolley be made available to shift some heavy luggage.

Review 74:The setting of the camping Jungfrau was FANTASTIC. The food was Yummy. The grocer was OK. It was slightly away from the Station but didn't make a difference since the place was walk able distance from the center.

Review 75:Camp's website is very basic and you can't see availability.

Review 76:Waterfall view from the caravan even at night. Cooking facilities were excellent. Everything was spotless. Very comfortable and big bed. Great heating system.

Review 77:However, as usual: too expensive, even with a swiss sallery. I guess 140 CHF for one night in a caravan is too much.

Review 78:Top location right in between the top sights of this region of the alps. Warm and

Review 79:Excellent location with provided shuttle bus... Very friendly and helpful staffs & owner.. We being upgraded from mobile home to bungalow... Near to train station Lauterbrunen & Murren which both are centre for Jungfraujouch & Schiltornbahn.

Review 80:A campsite with its own ski lift, après ski bar, restaurant, supermarket and a skibus to the mountains, far exceeded our expectations will definately be returning

Review 81:15-20min walk to station but there is free shuttle bus. wifi was little bit weak

Review 82:view was great, just felt like i m in the real Alps. it was great to cook. restaurant was also good

Review 83:Nothing

Review 84:We have stayed 2 nights in october 2014.The place is amazing, the restaurant is great. From the camp site the view of the staubbach falls in amazing. We have stayed in the mobile homes which are very clean, warm and most importantly you can cook and you can buy the basic stuff in the in house supermarket. The campsite offers the pickup and drop service to the train station which is only 15 min.walk.The staffs are nice and responsive.Overall a very good place to stay.

Review 85:Limited Working Hours- Reception is Closed in Afternoon and after 7 or 8 in the Evening.

Review 86:Location , Location and Location Ease of Reach by Train and Car Support System and Information available at reception

Review 87:nothing to dislike

Review 88:everything..staff,environment,clean & comfort room, complete kitchenware & very good heating system. we check-in almost at midnight and the staff didn't make us wait long to give us (4 family) all the room without asking us to make any payment at that time..great

Review 89:Perfect location in the Lauterbrunnen valley. The cabins were clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The restaurant on site was great. Lots of information available, and a nice store to buy food liquor and souvenirs, and nice laundry services.

Review 90:Loved it! Beautiful location and family cabin was great! Staff were friendly at the reception and restaurant! Wifi available and heaps of information provided for attractions nearby!

Review 91:It's a bit far from the train station but they have pickup and drop facility. Be sure to inform them in advance of the time of your arrival. We loved every bit of the time spent there. :-)

Review 92:Everything

Review 93:Bunker bed in 1 bedroom very compact. Room availability is less.

Review 94:Great experience!! Camp is nestled in a beautiful valley next to Stubach falls. Lautterbrunnen station is a bit far but camp arranges pick up and drop. Also, bus service runs every half an hour. Fully functional camp with many services very few hotels don't provide e.g. onsite supermarket, bicycle rental, pick up and drop to rail station and fully fully functional kitchen. Value for money tariff

Review 95:Had a little trouble with water temp automatically fluctuating from too hot to too cold while trying to shower but this was not the case each time. All else was great.

Review 96:Beautiful, convenient location in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Quiet and peaceful. Chalet super clean with fully stocked kitchenette, linens, bedding, broom, even some dishsoap. Service/reception area offers everything: tickets, directions, money exchange, etc. Small market with decent selection stays open later than most. Restaurant had pretty good pizza - a treat on our last night.

Review 97:Nothing.

Review 98:Cosy bungalow. Easy check-in & out process. Complimentary pick-up from the train station. Supermarket, self-laundrette available. Free wifi. Location.

Review 99:Mattress and pillows in the main bedroom was not comfortable, woke up with some back ache.

Review 100:We stayed in a mobile cabin for 4 person. The size is just nice for a family with few small children. It is in a beautiful location, can see the alps from kitchen window. Lovely kitchen with all the kitchen facilities-fridge, gas stove. The kids loved it and we all had fun.

Review 101:Could use more washers and dryers

Review 102:Loved our accommodation - clean, comfortable, well-appointed cabin; reception staff excellent - also able to purchase tickets for jungfraujoch visit which was handy; handy well-stocked shop, and lovely restaurant. Beautiful location

Review 103:Wifi would not work in our caravan area. Frustrating as had to go over to common room. A night this was a bit cold.

Review 104:Location On site restaurant Small shop on site

Review 105:I spent 3 days in Jungfrau camping, the rooms were very clean and the location was relaxing. It was a different and one of the best days considering that you will live in a camping area where you can see and hear a water fall and the river is just behind you in walking distance.

Review 106:The mobile home was extremely small Water temperature at toilet and kitchen was difficult to adjust and old fashioned heating system I checked out before two nights of my reservation but they charged me the full amount.

Review 107:Location was excellent

Review 108:Only one thing - no oven or microwave in our cabin. Stovetop only. Everything else was excellent.

Review 109:Location was amazing. Only a 600 metre walk to town but they will shuttle you on arrival and departure if you ask. Beautiful natural park with supermarket, restaurant and walks at your doorstep. Spacious cabins and the waterfall was amazing. Staff very helpful and informative about the area. Free wifi in cabin.

Review 110:Would have been ideal to have a BBQ and a microwave. Pillows not so comfortable.

Review 111:New, well-designed mobile home, very clean. Beautiful location surrounded by waterfalls. Excellent campsite with all the needed facilities, very close to the village.

Review 112:Friendly staff, mobile home very well set up with everything you could possibly need, lovely comfortable beds and warm covers. Great location to be based for exploring the mountains.

Review 113:water temperature of shower is not stable. water suddenly got pretty cold during showering. luckily it is summer. there is also no soap or shampoo in room. we did not prepare it. however, grocery is just outside and you can get almost everything there.

Review 114:if possible, i would like to stay a bit longer there. the room is clean and quiet in the evening. kitchen is fully equiped, with all you need. we bought some food and stored in refrigerator and enjoyed our dinner in the lobby with waterfall and snow mountain in view. really great. later in the evening, we also enjoyed the quiet evening with all stars in the sky, which we never see this in the big city.

Review 115:Laundry machines didn't work well, and Wi-Fi only worked in the Wi-Fi "house."

Review 116:Cabin was in excellent condition and very clean with all the amenities we needed.

Review 117:WiFi was good but often dropped out, may need additional WiFi relay points?

Review 118:Liked everything especially the friendly approach of all staff we interacted with. Camp shop was very competitive with village main shops. Overall we had a great time.

Review 119:Location - even though it was a busy time in Lauterbrunnen we never felt overcrowded. Beautiful chalet - friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful views - even from the bathroom you can see the falls!!! Everything you need is provided for self catering holiday!

Review 120:heating system is good but loud.

Review 121:everything was so clean. the kitchen provides us everything. location is good, one can hike. the village is beautiful, peaceful and clean. the staff was friendly and helpful. the camping place provided entertainment place where we watched FIFA Final. we grilled twice right on the grass in front of our house.

Review 122:The camp is bit far from the nearest train station, approx 15min walk. But you really enjoy the walk, viewing all the waterfalls & beautiful valley.

Review 123:It was great staying at camp, everything was well organized & clean. We found our mobiles homes just like what it was described. The staff took time in showing the place & explaining details. They really have put lot of efforts in making the camp perfect. The location is very peaceful & scenic. We really enjoyed our morning tea with waterfall in the background. It was really lovely & peaceful location. The camp's in-house restaurant was great, we had our first Rosti & loved it. The staff even helped in getting tickets to Jungfrau. We all enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back during our next visit to Swiss. We would absolutely recommend the camp!

Review 124:It is quite a distance to walk from the train station and main town. However the beautiful surroundings is well worth it.

Review 125:The bungalow was almost home for the 3 days we stayed. The kids loved the little window by their beds looking out to the waterfall. Kitchen has everything and served us well for wonderful family meals at night. The queitness of the valley is surreal. Restaurant on site has generous servings and good selection of food.

Review 126:Cable cars and trains to nearby towns can be expensive, so be prepared.

Review 127:Great base for hiking in the valley or on either side of the valley or for day trips to nearby areas. Bungalow was spacious and outfitted with everything needed for meal prep. Small grocery had an adequate supply of essentials and there is a coop in Lauterbrunnen.

Review 128:If the internet could be accessed from our bungalow, that would have been perfect.

Review 129:We really liked the camp ground. After a full day of hiking & sight seeing, it was nice to be able to come back and get someething to eat, pickup items we needed at the store before retiring for the evening. Centrally located to Jungfrau and Schitlhorn mountains.

Review 130:Nothing at all!

Review 131:We love everything about this place. The town, site location, restaurant and staff.

Review 132:Free bus to train station. The staff are very friendly and you can find everything in camping site. We enjoyed three days there!
