Review 1：Hotel is conveniently located just opposite train station and they serve excellent breakfast and they also have inhouse restaurant for dinner. Room size is good for 3 paxs and we loved the equipped hot shower as this is important on cold days.
Review 2：Wifi is sporadic. Bathroom is quite small and lighting is dim in there. No tissue box.

Review 6：location right by the train station but a bit to far, a few blocks from the center of town no big deal. they were very strict about the check out time of 10 or 11, it's not like there was anyone waiting at the door to check in. the room is very small and took only about 20 min to clean so i was really irritated.

Review 11：Probably the closest hotel to the train station. What a relief after a long train ride to get there on a hot day. It was nice to just stay there and have a 3 course dinner priced at half of most throughout Switzerland. Breakfast was very good too, eggs included even if hard boiled. Easy to walk to downtown and loved the fresh cold cheap beer at the brewery!
Review 12：Curtain is only one white lacy layer, sunlight comes into the room very early to wake us up, and since the room is facing the town, feeling no privacy with the thin curtain. It would be better to add an additional layer of curtain for the night, at least shield the sunlight in the morning.
Review 13：Though it took me sometimes to find out the direction to the hotel, it is really close to the location. If you take the train to Appenzell, try go to platform 3B or 4B if your train stop at platform 3A or 4A, don't go down to the tunnel, you can cross the railway easily and see it immediately in front of you.

Review 15：We loved our stay here. Its definitely worth staying 3 nights to get the Appenzell Card (the hotel will issue it to you). We had a great time with all the free stuff the card provides (especially the gondola rides up the mountains). We could easily have filled a couple more days using some of the other offers on the card (such as free snow shoe hire), but we ran out of time. The hotel was so convenient being right across from the station. We enjoyed the breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, meat, cheese and a choice of bread with spreads. We also ate dinner at the hotel twice, the prices were so reasonable and its a great way to try some local dishes. The staff were very warm and welcoming and we felt very comfortable here.
Review 16：The "take-away" arrangement for breakfast the following day because of early check-out came as a surprise. It was a finishing "touch" put by a warm and excellent hospitality.

Review 41：Nice staff. We arrived bit early but they let us into the room. Very good location, next to the railway station and located in the center of Appenzell. In my opinion good value for money.
Review 42：The interiour of the room is completely outdated (1970´s). The beds are much too short for todays lenght of people (1.9 meter) and the matrass is completely worn out, the top of the matrass is completely gone, you can see the rubber foam of the inside (matrass is probably also from the 1970´s. We didn´t sleep at all (thank god it was only for one night).
