Review 2：A beautiful hotel overlooking Alps (Eiger, Juangfrau) and Lake Thun. I would recommend this hotel for all. The room was spacious with modern amenities and balcony. You could easily spend hours in the balcony with hot tea/coffee overlooking Alps and Lake. Breakfast was very good and food in the restaurant was excellent! Love this hotel and staff !!!

Review 3：The hotel is fantastic. We love it very much. The waiters in here is very friendly and warm-hearted, the service is super. About the position of the hotel, it is on the mountains, we take the bus101 from the train station of Interlaken West to Hubel. When we get off from the bus, It took us about 2 minutes to walk to this hotel. Our room has a balcony, the view is very beautiful. We can see Thun and snow mountain. We love it very much. We will choose it again next time.

Review 4：Super good view! Everything was perfect especially the hotel restaurant food! We ate lunch and dinner there, whatever which one odered all with terrific tastes! Stuff in hotel are really nice with full patients and smiles! And location is good only 3 minutes walk to the bus station, directed to the Interlaken West!

Review 9：1. The service is very poor and rude; as an example, there was no greeting nor proper table setting during the breakfast 2. Too many policies; alot of rules. Example, you have to make sure the bathroom floor is not wet, there is a quiet time at night, .... And the ask for fees if you don't follow thier pulicies. I respect that they have policies but If you want to enjoy your vacation, go somewhere where they put customer comfort first. 3. They close the hotel door at night and there is no budy from the staff there at night; I tried to check out at 7 in the morning and I had to wait until 7:30 for someone to come despite the fact that I already communicated this to the staff the day before. So if you need something or ther is an emergency at night until 7:30 in the morning, ther will be no one to help you. I do not know if this is legal!? 4. The breakfast is very poor and basic. 5. The wifi is terrible and a lot of times not working and when it works, it becomes very slow. 6. The room lacks of facilities; example no fredge 7. The furniture is very old.

Review 12：The hotel owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the room was fantastic. The resturant food was good but not much vegetarian choice. The rooms were tidy and big.

Review 13：Stunning view from the room and restuarant. Jacky and Bernard used their heart to run the hotel. My kids liked the bears accompanying them at the bed! We have both dinner at the restuarant during our 2 nights stay. The food was wonderful and comparable to star restuarant at reasonable price.

Review 14：The bus service to Beatenberg is every 1 hr from Interlaken West train station. For food you have the choice of the hotel or go down to Interlaken West.

Review 15：Nice property, location is good, nice view of the lake and the mountains. It was quite hot but we were provided with fans also. Basic breakfast but was okay. Provision store is also 1 min walk only.

We had the best service from the owners and every single staff memeber, you can tell they genuinely want their guests to have a wonderful experience not just at the hotel but throughout Switzerland and they offered great ideas and tips on hikes and sights to see. Our room was just perfect- so comfortable and the views are just stunning! We stayed three nights and ate in the restaurant two of them which was such a treat and we highly recommend you eat their during your stay. the location in Beatenburg is easily reachable by bus from whichever direction you are travalling from and is a much quieter, relaxing experience than the larger cities in the area- and did we mention the views!?!

Review 19：Didn't know where to get off from the bus, but some people helped us to know when we asked...really everything else we loved, and the bus ride was very pretty if you sit on the drivers side up, and the oposite on the way down ;-)

Review 20：GORGEOUS view from our balcony, comfy chairs with blankets to sit out and enjoy the lake and mountain view, comfy cozy beds, everything you need, nice bathtub, great staff, awesome breakfast buffet, nice view from tables at breakfast, peaceful setting, fun to be up on the side of the hill away from busy city life, felt like Heidi and Peter! ;-)

The Hotel Maneger is kind, however she asked us many times to not spill any water in the carpet. لاتملك جميع الغرف نفس الاطلالة الرائعة بالرغم من أنها بنفس السعر " هناك مبنى أمام بعض الغرف " يعني اختار الجهة الشرقية أفضل Not the all rooms have the same views although it costs the same price.

Review 25：The Gloria is in a small, quiet town half way up a mountain well off the tourist beaten path. Their are cuter hotels and towns, but the mountain views and calm were great. All the rooms have great views of the Interlaken valley, Lake Thun and some of the highest peaks in the alps. The hotel is what I would call "modern Swiss" without the carvings, lace curtains, and flower boxes of the more touristy places, but it is clean and comfortable with large rooms by European standards. The staff is very accommodating and directed us to a small local restaurant for an excellent dinner one night. The dinner at the hotel was excellent as well. If you want to get up on a mountain out of the tourist crush with spectacular views (and have your own car to get there - no train), this is great.

Review 30：Small and family hotels does not have reception or staff facility after midnight, hotels main gates are locked, so do inform hotel well in advance if you will arrive late, or call in time if due to any reason you will reach late..Gloria hotel owners did took care when we arrived at 2:00 am...thanks !

Review 32：I travel frequently to conferences and I've stayed in many hotels around the world. I stayed here a single night, but I can confidently say that this was, without a doubt, the best hotel I've ever stayed at! We got a beautiful wood-decorated room with a breathtaking view over lake Thun and the mountains, we had a delicious supper in their cozy romantic restaurant that would put many dedicated restaurants to shame... and despite all this, which would be enough for a great experience, we were received by the warmest and friendliest staff I have ever encountered! I've been to many hotels, some 5 stars, and I never felt so good and comfortable and happy with this kind of service. I was genuinely sad that I had to leave the next day. I wish I could have stayed longer, and I hope to go back someday! This is a true hidden gem, which is totally worth the 30 min bus trip up the mountain.

Review 34：Location is excellent, beautiful nature, great views on the lakes below and the mountains above. Breakfast is simple but adequate and the view on the lake below is second to none. The best bit is however the restaurant for lunch and dinner, the dishes are just magnificent, both in appearance and in taste. Review 37：During my check-in, I didn't like the way the owner of the hotel told me not to flood the bathroom with water. If you are having issues with bathroom drainage, fix it, don't greet me with such rude instructions on how to use a bathroom. It is a minor inconvenience, but worth mentioning.

Review 41：This hotel is like heaven on earth - as is the surrounding area - what a find. My mum and I visited this hotel for a long weekend from London. Having done our research and read the reviews of this hotel this felt like a good place to try. The hotel is amazing: superbly located, all rooms have a balcony with an amazing view, food is delicious (and for those who have said in previous reviews that it is expensive, we think it is very good value considering the quality of food and compared to the rest of Switzerland) and the hosts super helpful. In fact, the staff can’t do enough to help you, everything from a general chat to ensuring you have all the information you need for your day ahead (maps, train times, suggested activities etc). I very much hope one day to return to this little gem of a hotel and hope everyone who visits enjoys it as much as we did.

Review 43：This is a lovely 3-star hotel that specializes in old-fashioned Swiss charm and sublime views. That said, the co-owner/chef brings a lot of imagination to menu, especially with Asian touches that aren't so common in the Bernese Oberland. His "better half" (and Hostess of the House) makes everyone feel welcome.

We stayed in different hotels while in Switzerland and this is the one which is the most memorable and enjoyable. The view from our room is really amazing. The hotel is about 15 km drive from Interlaken but it's worth the short drive when you see the view. The restaurant is also excellent, great food and reasonably priced. Highly recommended hotel.

Review 46：Gloria has wonderful views across to Interlaken and the three mountains. However it is about a 30 to 40 min drive down hairpin bends to reach Interlaken so, in our view, was not very convenient.

We were given a pass for the bus which took us to the centre of Interlaken ,to take advantage of the very efficient Swiss transport system ,train and ferry within 100 metres.

The restaurant is reviewed as the best in Beatenburg and certainly lives up to its reputation with fantastic quality and choice. All rooms (I think) have a lake view which is just stunning we had a 3rd floor room with balcony. There is ample parking and (at the time of our visit) we were provided with a free bus pass down to interlaken. As with all Swiss public transport it runs to the second every day.

Review 61：Too short a stay! As a minor comment, dinner was not quite as good as we hoped. Thai curry was thin and anaemic although tasty enough. Prices in the area are high and so they are at Gloria too.

Review 62：The village is a ribbon along a ridge with an amazing view of the lake and valley 700m below. The wooden chalet style hotel is very easy to find right on the main road from Interlaken . By car, there are plenty of signs and it is next door to the huge modern Dorrint which also clearly liked the location. The bus stops almost outside and is free with a guest card. Room is quite large with a decent balcony to sit and relax , rugs provided for chilly evenings. Good lighting. Beds are comfortable. Room otherwise simple in wood with no fridge but a kettle and a bath. Run by a Swiss man who took over from his parents and his Australian wife so language is not a problem for English speakers. Comfortable dining room and also small lounge upstairs with books. Despite other comments, we thought it was very fairly priced. It is close to the Niederhorn mountain cable car and you can walk there easily. Breakfast is good with excellent local produce such as home made jam and very fresh bread and cake. Parking is free and easy. Wifi is free and pretty good in the room.
