Review 4：Great location in town at the end of the pedestrian main street. The hotel includes its own parking lot with other free parking options nearby if full. The staff was very help and very multilingual. The associated restaurant was also great.

Review 5：Very hot during our stay and no AC or fans. Also weekend music festival going on, which was great most of the time, but made it hard to sleep. Could still hear revelers at 2am.

Review 9：We enjoyed the Hotel, great location at the main old town square. All the staff are friendly and always ready to assist you. Delicious breakfast, we were offered eggs and bacon of our choice, loved the fresh squeeze orange juice too. Rooms are very clean and beautiful decorated. We enjoyed the square view and kept our widows open for fresh air. You can hear the outdoor street noise a little but it stops around 10:00 pm, we had children so we had to be back earlier than that. We enjoyed the delicious deserts at the Cafe, lovely setting and friendly crowd. We truly enjoyed our stay and the beautiful Appenzell, we look forward to return and stay again this lovely Hotel Cafe.

Review 10：Our room was very comfortable, with a pretty view of the green hills outside town. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant on the Square--good food and enjoyed watching the world go by. Can't beat the location. And for drivers, there was free parking in the hotel.

Review 11：The room was great and very comfortable. You are right on the main square and will see and hear all the hustle and bustle of the locals. The breakfast was a nice selection and the lady working in the breakfast room was very friendly and sing-songy. This hotel is only a short walk from the train station. The views are gorgeous and the train ride getting there was breathtaking. Great experience.

Review 22：Appenzell was our first night in Switzerland and it was such a special place. The buildings are so traditional and so was our experience at the hotel. The breakfast room and food were very homely. The walk back to the train station was a little uphill but not a problem. We caught the train and cable car to Ebenalp and had a lovely walk to Aescer hotel on the side of a cliff.

Review 54：the rooms do get warm at night, and without A/C you are forced to open the windows. Then when the Landsgemeindeplatz gets busy and noisy till 2 or 3am, you will hear a lot of noise. We had some trouble sleeping because of the heat/noise. It was in August.

Review 63：We’ve stayed at Hotel Appenzell many times over the past two decades and there’s a reason we keep coming back. The hotel combines very tastefully decorated rooms with a wonderful setting overlooking the Landesgemeindeplatz. The restaurant/cafe serves wonderful, creative and delicious meals and has a menu which changes seasonally to incorporate the freshest seasonal ingredients. Most importantly, Herr and Frau Sutter and their staff artfully blend professionalism with warmth and friendliness and we always feel very welcome when we return. The Sutters have created a place we truly enjoy staying, we have very fond memories of our many stays in their lovely hotel and they have created a warm and welcoming experience each and every time. We very much look forward to our next stay at Hotel Appenzell.
