Review 1：no air con - stay too expensive for quality of hotel great place for old people but not for young ones

Review 3：The friendliness of the staff, the beautiful view from the room and the balcony, the easyness with which the dog was admitted to the meals together with us in a separate room.

Review 4：But the "annex" rooms (2-3 miserable rooms), are incredibly bad, worn out and dirty. There are no pictures on the hotel website nor on booking.com to give any advance warning as to how bad these rooms are. Actually the rooms are not even in the hotel compound, they face a depressing back-road in a dissafected slaughter house type of neighborhood. On top of this you will be informed on arrival that the free wi-fi promissed on booking.com does not apply to these dreadful rooms. Avoid at all cost.

Review 7：Fantastic location looking down Lake Maggiore to Italy. One of the best continental breakfast buffets I have ever had - countless varieties of bread including a fig and walnut loaf which was divine. We had a lovely annex room however it did not have internet access - only the rooms in the main hotel have this, Given that we paid extra for the annex suite this was disappointing. Perhaps the hotel needs to highlight this at the time of booking. This said I would recommend this hotel to anybody wanting to stay on Lake Maggiore.

Review 29：Stayed there 2nights and one day going south. We had a marvellous viewfrom our room over the lake. It was a spacious family room with abalcony and a nice terrace. Great breakfast (included fresh fruit,yoghurt, muesli, different kinds of bread, etc. ) Small kids playground,and a tiny place down at the lake where you can swim. During the day wewent to Ascona on the lake side where we rented a pedalo (waterfiets)with slide for an hour. Kids (6 and 8) thought they were in paradise!

Review 30：The wifi is not very strong in the room, but was very strong in the warm and comfortable lobby. But this was a very small inconvenience in the face of such beauty and comfort.

Review 31：We stayed here 5 days in one of the family suites--a corner room with a large bed and two bunk beds. The views of Lake Maggiore and the lush vegetation were breathtaking from all vantage points. We slept at night with the windows flung open, enjoying the tropical breezes and the occasional showy thunder and lightning storm. Breakfast on the terrace was a glorious spread. The staff was kind and helpful. We greatly appreciated the small fridge in the room, which allowed us to store drinks and snacks from the local Migros. Water pressure and cleanliness and mattress quality were PERFECT.

Review 36：The reduced winter service is akin to nobody being in the building. Thehotel is far enough from Ascona to mean that if the hotel restaurant isnot open, you have no meal options. After check-in I saw no staff orother patrons during my stay. For the price, I would say that a littlemore information regarding other options (food, travel, etc) when allthe hotel options are gone for the winter would have been nice.

Bitof a walk into ascona and cant go via the lake road as there is no pathand a tunnel. Are required to walk up hill and down a couple hundredsteps, which you need to walk back up on return. Bus stop is close byand easy to access.

Review 43：For a single person without a car I found it to be quite a distance from the jazz festival I went to see. I hired a bike from them which made it easier to get back during the early hours of the morning. In the hot weather it was quite a way to walk
