Review 1：If the next room had their bathroom overhead fan running.....you became very aware of it. Outside of this minor annoyance...no complaints.
Review 2：An older motel .Moderately priced..yet with very good upgrades. Quiet, simple, comfortable. If looking for a good nights sleep for a reasonably price...this is your spot.

Review 7：We had stayed there 9yrs ago and we could tell that they`ve upgraded the rooms since then! The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable and so we were very happy to stay there.
Review 8：The sign is VERY hard to see until it was almost too late. The parking lot tight and in very bad shape ( bumps, potholes, etc) The wireless internet only worked reliably in the middle of the night when everyone else was sleeping or mid day when everyone else was gone, only one person could use it in the room at a time. Wired internet worked for 20in then quit. We asked for another cord and still no good. If you need reliable internet, this isn't the place for you.
Review 9：The beds were incredibly comfortable, not too soft or too firm, room was clean and had been updated (except for the bath) and was well located to easily travel anywhere. The floors were not carpeted, MUCH MUCH cleaner floors than any hotel or motel I have ever been in.
Review 10：Long day of driving, this motel fit our needs. I hate paying expensive prices when all we need is a place to sleep and shower. Motel was close to tons of businesses and restaurants.

Review 13：Air conditioning in first room not working, had to go to another room, was lost out of town and called hotel for directions and the staff member on duty could not help at all. Place was relatively clean, but very old fixtures, grout in bathroom old and stained, faint smoke odor in the air due to old, old carpet.

Review 15：Would be helpful to have a nightstand and lamp on each side of the bed in case a person wants to read and a place to put their glasses before they go to sleep. Bed springs squeak every time you move. Also, although I appreciated the dog area, no one picks up after their dogs, and for those who do, there is no "doggie trash can" to put your bag. For a small room, a person doesn't need 5 pillows on the bed with no place to put them, if you don't need all of them.
Review 16：Liked the location, the cleanliness and the acceptance of our small dog and good dog walking area out of the way of residents of the motel. Microwave and coffee maker excellent idea.
Review 17：Just a basic decent place to stay if you loath having to spend over a C note just to grab a decent sleep. Loved the white "swinging bench" located far enough away from rooms and other folks that a person could have a puff of whatever suits their fancy. The bed could have been a bit more comfy but not bad enough for it to be an issue.
Review 18：The room was clean and tidy, very well organized. The bathroom was spotless and getting extra towels was no problem. It's an older motel but very well cared for and close to food (fast food and grocery).

Review 21：Washrooms need a refit. New toilets specifically. Had to get a different room as the toilet tank water kept running. Second room was the same but water stopped running after I flushed the toilet

Review 23：The room assigned had a heavy smell of smoke despite the 'No Smoking' room sign. Staff were happy to swap for another room without that odour. No hair dryer! Parking lot was pretty rugged!

Review 25：The motel is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Because the motel is older the plumbing is older and when we showered at the same time as the room next door our water temperature turned to extremes.
Review 26：At reception we were ask if we would like to see the room first before check in (a nice jester, that is a blast for the past), and glass glasses and ceramic mugs (a real treat). Very comfortable and very clean. Good value for the money.

Review 30：I have stayed at the Northlander on three occasions in the past year. Nice people, a clean, comfortable if not luxurious room, and excellent value for money - the Sault downtown is 2 km away, there are lots of restaurants within Northlander walking distance.

Review 35：The location was easy to find and close to restaurants. It had a coffee maker and fridge with a freezer which we needed as we were travelling and needed to keep ice packs frozen. We would definitely book there again.
Review 36：Our aIr con was so noisy you really couldn't have it on all night, but the motel itself was really quiet, back from the road. A bit outdated but great sized rooms and everything worked fine.
