Reviews for Gîte Kezako
Review 1:Kitchen and breakfast room open plan, next to hall over two floors giving early noises while breakfast is being prepared. Did not bother us as we are early risers.
Review 2:Ideal for a visit to Québec City, (provided you can manage the steep climb from the traversier). Big room, all facilities, nice and clean. Make sure you get one with a view over the Saint Lawrence towards Québec
Review 3:The room was clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom, especially the shower, will inspire our upcoming reno plans. Great breakfasts, Marie-Helene offers a sweet and savoury choice every day. Marie-Helene is lovely. Very warm, welcoming and helpful. The ferry is close and in less then 15 minutes you are Quebec City. For those people that are obsessed with increasing their steps count on their Fitbit, like me, there are over 130 steps down to and up from the ferry. For those less obsessed, taxis wait at the ferry and $5 gets you to Gite Kezako.
Review 4:Everything! Great location a short ferry ride from Quebec City. Avoid traffic and parking hassles, park at the ferry terminal for $6/24hrs. Wonderful accommodation and hostess.
Review 5:Clean, close to restaurants, ferry for a quick visit to old Quebec City. Helpful, courteous friendly owner who made us a great breakfast omelette. Great spot to stop on our way east to Nova Scotia.
Review 6:Marie Helene and her daughter were perfect hostesses. They were very helpful. The location and facilities were lovely and breakfast was delicious and different each day.
Review 7:What a quaint place and the owner is just fabulous. the rooms were upgraded with exquisite taste and it was close to the ferry to take over to Old Quebec City. We were only there for one night as we were in our way to New Brunswick..... Next time we will stay for at least another night or two more nights
Review 8:What a beau old home with a modern feel !! The view from our back veranda was awesome , especially at nite when the Chateau Frontenac was in lights! We wish we would have had time to stay longer . The owner was so very nice and welcoming !
Review 9:Friendliness and welcome of the owner. Comfort of the room. Delicious breakfast. Nice location. Free car parking. Best guest house we have stayed in!
Review 10:It was a hot period, but the air conditioning during the night was too cold for us and it was not possible to regulate it.
Review 11:Stylish house and warm welcome. The ferry to Quebec city is very close and there is a nice micro-brewery at the harbor.
Review 12:Marie-Helene was very nice, the view was excellent, the breakfast exceeded our expectations, the house was impressive. I would go again and recommend to my friends & family
Review 13:The owner was verygracious and helpful. Our room was spacious, super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was different each morning and so delicious. An excellent place to stay while visiting the Quebec area.
Review 14:This B & B is ideally located for visiting Quebec, the home cooked breakfast is excellent, the host is excellent, the value for money is excellent, could not ask for more. The ferry across the river gives you a great view of the city, the stairs on the way to the ferry could be a challenge for anyone who has trouble walking.
Review 15:The owner was wonderful and very helpful. The location is great for a trip across the river to Old Quebec on the ferry. Everything was within walking distance with local restaurants close at hand.
Review 16:Very welcoming, knowledgeable, and pleasant owners/staff. Beautiful house and excellent location in charming old Lévis with view of Quebec City. Very easy to visit Quebec City from this lodging and better than staying in the City itself.
Review 17:The windows in the room off the kitchen don't open and the air conditioning does not bring in fresh air, as a result the air was stale. Ask for a room opening on to the terrasse at the back of the building.
Review 18:Beautiful renovated older home in a very convenient location for Levis and visiting Quebec City.
Review 19:Marie Helen was gracious and welcoming! The room was clean, air conditioned and the bed very comfortable. Being in Levis allowed us to be away from the QC crowds but near a fabulous French restaurant and organic ice cream parlor. We stayed here on our way to and from Saguenay. We wish we could have stayed longer!
Review 20:Views of Quebec are beautiful from Levis. The B&B is located near the ferry and close to great restaurants. Private parking, Wi-Fi, and delicious breakfasts.
Review 21:Marie-Helene was an extreme gracious host and was very friendly in our conversations. She took the time to sit down with us after showing us our rooms and gave us a quick overview of things to do, places to eat, and sites to see. In addition, her B&B is very clean and the whole house is brightened up by big windows from the second floor. Washroom facilities' decor is beautifully done and most importantly, spotlessly clean!!! By far the best B&B experience I have ever had and would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend her to all my friends and family travelling through that area.
Review 22:Nothing. All was wonderful!
Review 23:The hostess was amazing and the room was very nice. A wonderful place to stay. The view from the location is worth the visit alone.
Review 24:The service, the help and referrals and the fact that it was provided in both languages(french and english) was excellent. The food was also excellent. We will be recommending this B&B to our friends
Review 25:No mirror in the bedroom to put my make up on , had to fight with my husband for the bathroom mirror. No proper cupboard to hang our clothes. Lack of coffee making facility in the bedroom which is needed after a long day walking.
Review 26:The owner Marian went out of her way to help us and she is a great cook... Different kind of breakfast daily.
Review 27:Location was fabulous! Minutes walk to the Ferry, many restaurants on the same street - and the chocolate/ice cream shop! Hostess was super friendly and very helpful. Property is exceptionally clean and well cared for. Fantastic!!! Loved it!
Review 28:Walking down hill and the stairs to the ferry can be exhausting. Coming back you have to climb the equivalent of a ten story building. Very steep, really for the young and fit.
Review 29:Marie-Hélène, the owner is an excellent hostess. She makes you feel welcome. Her breakfasts are superb. The house is very nice and rooms really comfortable, clean and spacious. Nearby there are a couple of restaurants, and prices are better than downtown across the river. From the ferry you get a lovely view of the city.
Review 30:We truly enjoyed modern interior styling of Gîte Kezako, the best we have seen so far in a B&B environment. The breakfasts were excellent and our host very helpful and knowledgeable. The ferry to the Quebec City is only about 5-7 minutes away.
Review 31:No shower but there is a bathtub with shower attachment.
Review 32:Beautifully renovated older home.Comfortable rooms.Wonderful breakfast with a great view across the river of Quebec City.Host is warm and friendly and very helpful. Great restaurants steps away. Loved taking the ferry across and walking the old city.No worries of parking.
Review 33:Nice B&B with a hospitable owner. She makes you really feel like home. Quebec is a nice city, which you can visit via ferry. There are also nice restaurants in the neighbourhood of the B&B.
Review 34:Our hostess was so warm and personable - felt like I'd known her forever. Beautiful home, very clean and bright, beautiful view of Quebec City from her veranda's & only a 10 min. Ferry ride to visit. Excellent breakfast provided. Highly recommended.
Review 35:Il n'y a rien a se plaindre
Review 36:Old world exterior, modern conveniences and decor. Great night's sleep, excellent bed, quiet street. The breakfast room and breakfast itself were superb. 15 mins from Quebec City using the ferry.
Review 37:Everything was perfect, the room, the bathroom and the delicious breakfast. My room on hte groundfloor had access to the porch, the ideal place to relax with a beer after coming home from busy Quebec city. Marie-Hélène does everything imaginable that her guests feel comfortable. Thanks!
Review 38:A noise in the hall outside the room and the door are not that solid, so we could not sleep. Had to put a blanket along the bottom of the door to keep the light out in the hallway from coming into the room.
Review 39:Friendly Great location Good value Very clean
Review 40:Faultless. Will definitely stay here again and would strongly recommend it.
Review 41:This was a great find. We wanted to stay out of Quebec City, but wanted to be in a place with a little atmosphere. This place was great. You could take the foot ferry to Quebec City or stay local and explore Levis. We chose the latter and was not disappointed. A well located property of a very high standard. Conveniently located on the high street of Levis and close to many good restaurants and snack bars. Our host was wonderful, the property was extremely well presented and it made for a great first night stop on our road trip to Eastern Canada.
Review 42:Having to leave soon!
Review 43:Cleanliness, comfort and proximity to a variety of restaurants. We were also (happily) surprised by an amazing fireworks show over the river which we enjoyed from the wraparound deck.
Review 44:Flawless hospitality. The place was bright and clean and comfortable, with a great view, a short walk from the ferry to Quebec. We arrived sopping wet from having been caught in the rain during a hike. The staff lent us clothes for the evening and had our wet stuff dried by morning. We also got a wonderful restaurant recommendation for dinner, and (seriously) the best french toast I've ever had for breakfast. One of our best accommodation experiences ever!
Review 45:Great location, beautiful view and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Quebec - it's easy to take the ferry and you don't have to contend with driving and parking in the city.
Review 46:A couple of glasses in the room would have been nice and the shower arrangement was a little unusual.
Review 47:Loved the welcome and attention to detail that we received. Location was excellent and although the hill to the ferry was quite a hike it was far better than trying to park on the Quebec City side of the river. a very pleasant two night stay with great breakfast served and presented very well.
Review 48:There wasn't anything we didn't like!
Review 49:The owner is very friendly and eager to help in any way. She made sure we were comfortable with everything. She advised us about Levis and also about Quebec City and where and when to catch the ferry across. She couldn't have been ant nicer!
Review 50:This is only a suggestion. It would be good if the owner had menus from the nearby restaurants so one would know,in advance, what they offered.
Review 51:The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless and the breakfast was excellent.
Review 52:The lighting in the room was actually too bright. A dimmer switch would be good.

Review 94:Absolutely fantastic B&B, friendly hosts and incredible views. I would definitely recommend staying here for any trip to Quebec city. Choose the room with city views, you won't regret it!! Host allowed us to park our car there for the day while we explored Old Quebec across the river to avoid costly parking, she was very thoughtful. Yummy breakfast, beautifully furnished, authentic French decor. LOVE the shower and balcony.
Review 95:We had a really nice stay at Gîte Kezako. The room was big, tasteful decorated and the host very attentive. The location is actually remarkable, across the river, facing Chateau Frontenac. On the ferry to Quebec (a very short trip), you'll find the best spot for admiring the castle. I highly recommend Gîte Kezako: great value for money.
Review 96:Nothing to complain about
Review 97:Homely, friendly. great breakfast. Just across the river from Quebec. Ferry is 5 - 10 minute walk away. Great resturants across the road that are much cheaper than in Quebec City. Wonderful deck to sit out on at night to watch the lights of Quebec. Host is wonderful!

Review 99:Excellent hospitality, very nice facility with nice seating on balcony overlooking Chateau Frontenac. Rooms are spacious and modern, breakfast was perfect. Free parking on location. Do not miss Chocolat Favoris.
Review 100:We loved everything, but a full length mirror would have made it perfect!
Review 101:Excellent location close to the ferry with a lovely view of QC from the terrace. Coffee shop and restaurants on the doorstep too. Plug sockets in the right places (this matters a lot)! Our host was wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and it was obvious that we were very important to her. We would definitely recommend Gite Kezako if you are visiting QC.
