Reviews for Auberge Jeunesse à Loulou

Review 1:The building was quite close to the highway upon which we travelled, not hard to find. I liked the appearance and age of the building, good facilities, close to some useful amenities.

Review 2:The confirmation email was not clear. I think this was due to thelanguage barrier. They sent me a confirmation email that said "twinroom" and led me to believe that I had only booked one bedroom, when in fact I had booked two. So I unnecessarily booked another roomthinking I needed it and then they didn't let me cancel it. Soridiculous. Otherwise I would have given it a decent rating.

Review 3:Clean and comfortable; good value for price.

Review 4:Distance to Quebec city, but they offer a cheap shuttle service

Review 5:Nicely done up accomodation, friendly staff, good breakfast, love to come back some day

Review 6:I liked everything. There was parking for our car, an excellent Vietnamese / Thai restaurant just around the corner.

Review 7:Super friendly helpful host. Explained everything very clearly and pleasantly. Had both English and French versions of information. Was bilingual himself which was very helpful for visitors. He immediately oiled a squeaky door which I informed him about. He gave very clear and easy instructions to get to old Quebec City. The whole hostel was clean and well cared for.

Review 8:We have never stayed at a hostel and decided that we would try thus one based in our needs and good reviews. We would definitely consider returning there in our next trip through and would consider trying other hostels based on this experience.

Review 9:Lack of useful public transit. Only one key per room rather than one per person.

Review 10:Willingness of Andre to chauffeur us and provide local information. Staff are friendly and happy.

Review 11:You will need a car when staying here but they can provide shuttle service

Review 12:It was more like staying in someone's house than a hostel! Such a nice place!

Review 13:If the location near to the main area of old village , it would be perfect(but it's doesn't matter)

Review 14:Andre is very friendly and willing to help you Room is very clean, the space is big

Review 15:There's no real negative I could think of, except for the wi-fi: it seemed a bit overloaded, so I couldn't get a proper connection, but others seemed to.

Review 16:The owners are the sweetest people imaginable. The House is impeccably clean, with wide hallways, a charming lounge area and sturdy, comfy bunks. All the washrooms come with private showers. And the immediate vicinity is nice for strolls. Also, if you're on a bike, the owner has a very secure spot for them in the basement.

Review 17:The owners keep the Auberge so clean and tidy...it was disappointing to see that some of the other guests staying there on my return trip were pigs about the shared bathroom! So disrespectful to the hosts and fellow travelers!

Review 18:I used this as a midway stop on the way to the east coast and back-Auberge was conveniently located to the highway and easy to find. The onsite free parking was a bonus. Back deck is a very nice place to relax. Plenty of well appointed bathrooms. Neighbourhood was pretty, quaint and a safe place to walk around by myself--I went out in the early evening both times I stayed. Grocery, drug store and a couple of restaurants were within walking distance. Hostel was very clean and the towels provided were lovely and white! I would absolutely stay here again.

Review 19:Wifi could be weak at times and a bit more space to accommodate for baggage in the room. I kept almost all my stuff in the car anyway, because its a dormitory.

Review 20:Helpful staff, very clean and good breakfast. I only needed to stay one night around Quebec without spending on overly charged hotels, I really enjoyed the experience, met nice people and definitely the best value!

Review 21:Heat wave when we visited. No air conditioning

Review 22:Great location. Friendly staff

Review 23:Breakfast was really nice. Inexpensive, convenient, and the perfect portion for any backpacker!

Review 24:Could be closer to Quebec City.

Review 25:Very clean, safe and quiet. Very nice and helpful staff.

Review 29:The railroad coming thru early morning.

Review 30:The staff! Pretty well set up for a Hostel; almost like a B&B

Review 31:It is a shame that there is no breakfast included in the room price - you can buy it additionaly for 3$ (small) or 5$ (large) per day.

Review 32:Very friendly people running this accommodation. They can give you good information about Quebec City and the surroundings. Rooms new and clean. Everything is very good. Easy to get to Quebec City from there by car.

Review 33:The man snoring loudly on a bad next to mine. This is not something that is the fault of the Auberge.

Review 34:The people that ran it were extremely friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and everywhere else was very clean. It had a familial atmosphere.

Review 35:Rail train close to the auberge, noise until the last train at 11pm
