Review 1：The Welcome needs to be considered and planned out. No one at Reception and the door was locked. Room was same as the outside - temperature was ice cold.. The person on reception knew we were arriving as we had reservations so could easily have prepared the room.
Review 2：One female staff member - chamber person was very polite and helpful obtaining an extra blanket and showing us how T.V worked etc.
Review 3：Had a reservation. No one there at the desk. Note said call a phone number. Did. That number said call another phone number...did. Then that one said leave a message. Waited 10 minutes...no one called back. I left. Wasted my time.
Review 4：The first room they offered was dark and dingy and no light switch by the door. Also, the courtyard was nice in quick appearance but not maintained at this time of year.

Review 6：The rooms were clean, spacious (biggest we've stayed in our our 5 1/2 weeks holiday). They had a compact kitchenette with all facilities. The outdoor area was beautiful and although it was a bit cold to swim the pool area was delightful. We were able to sit outside under our umbrella near our room and have a wine, cheese and biscuits in a totally comfortable and peaceful setting!! Fabulous!!
Review 7：We went in September after the season, but we felt it was very good value for the money we spent. The rooms are very large and the kitchenette well equipped with everything you may need. The sitting area by the pool was very pleasant and the pool offered nice refreshment.
Review 8：We did not have a bad experience, but the hotel looks a little tired. Maybe a new coat of paint would liven things up. The other hotels in the area look a little run down.

Review 16：We had to wash all the dishes before we used them because of food still on them, They weren't previously washed. Not full equipped with dishes we had to ask for forks. Our room was not ready when we arrived after 3pm. The pool was green, not cleaned very well. They have all their bottle recycle out in the courtyard in the open, bbq's never looked cleaned. They need to update their pictures when viewing for booking. It doesn't look the same!
Review 17：We loved the location and how close to the beach it was. Staff was friendly and helped out when they could.
Review 18：Overall not a good impression. The room wasn't properly cleaned. Had spider webs along the roof and in the shower. Stairs to our unit were not maintained and it looked like a appliance work shop with all the old fridges standing around the courtyard. The beds also didn't have box spring covers on. Carpets in our room was also stained and didn't feel clean. The cupboard door also came apart. Don't be fooled by the rating on Booking.com as it isn't good at all.

Review 23：We were very comfortable in our room, (bed was comfortable) and loved the idea of everything opening up to the courtyard. The location was awesome, walking to the beach, pub or a hike. The pool was very nice!
Review 24：The room smelled funny, the towels looked like they have been through hell. The swimming pool was freezing. Housekeeping didn't make bed or clean the first night I had to ask for coffee and new towels (ugh!)
Review 25：Definately was treated like a OTA guest. worst room in motel. i booked a pay later rate. There was sever smoke from WA state a local wildfires. Owner/manager? would not accomodate changes. we had to bargain (and bargain really hard) to get refunds. Environment canada advisory was severe. it was no place for young kids. I had 3 night res. we did not want to stay at all. nut after 9 hour drive and the fact we could not get refund we stayed one night. THEN they said if it does clear they will charge us a modification fee to not stay the second night. she told me this was a booking.com policy which i then pointed out the policy and then admitted it was a hotel fee because i used booking.com. Pollution did not clear and we were refunded the send night (they took prepayment) and we left. It makes me very wary of booing independent hotels on booking.com

Review 27：It was not clean enough, we found a fish cracker on the floor left by a previous guest and a toy under the bed also left by someone before us. Also the walkways into the courtyard had not been swept or cleaned in some time.
Review 28：I loved that all 8 of us could stay in one suite. I really liked the other guests and I loved the relaxed friendliness of the atmosphere of Sahara Courtyard Inn.
Review 29：If your the type of client who is very needy and require service all the time this won't be the place for you because it is a family owned business the staff that works there is small and they're all related etc so if you need something and they are tied up you'll be waiting forever i.e.: towels pillows etc. If your the type of group who doesn't like to be bothered this is a fabulous spot, the staff keep to themselves and the owner was very pleasant and friendly to deal with. The only other thing id say is the motels not very sound proof we had noisy neighbours on both ends it was quite frustrating but than again it has nothing to do with the hotel its out of thier hands, like i said id recommend this motel!
Review 30：I was very hesitant booking at this hotel due to the prior reviews but we took a chance and it turned out to be fabulous, its not a high end 5 star hotel but honestly it was clean and with all the renos and upgrades done it makes it worthwhile. The place was clean it was a great location close and walking distance to everything the pool was awesome and just the overall layout of the court yard was peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely book here again if i were to go back and visit.

When I asked for more they said they would send them right over but they showed up 4 hrs later at11 pm when wewere all in bed . Also would only let us park one car but there were guests (not paying customers) who were parked in all the spots so us as paying customers had to park on the street. I also found the staff kind of rude .

Review 49：The woman cleaning my room walked in on me in my boxers without knocking. You have to pay for ice. We were given the key to our room and when we got to it the cleaning lady still had about 15 minutes of cleaning left, but cut it short.

Review 61：It looks a little tired - ex., a coat of fresh paint would make a difference. The courtyard and general set up of the grounds are charming, and you can see how it once must have been- and could be again with a little TLC.
Review 62：The courtyard has green space, comfortable and plentiful chairs, loungers and tables, and a big pool. No traffic noise or view of parked cars interferes with enjoying the facilities. Some rooms are small (with frig and coffee maker) and others larger with kitchens. Everything is clean.
Review 63：We booked that motel for the pool and didn't find out it was out of order till we went to our rooms. (Booking.com advertised pool) The air conditioner was on the loud side. If the pool had been in service though it would have been perfect for the price!
Review 64：The room was spacious with a nice good size and stocked kitchenette and bathroom... Mostly everything updated. It is just down the street from the lake so we swam there instead of the pool.
Review 65：We booked this hotel, not one mention of the fact the pools are not in service at all. Get to the hotel not one person let's us know, we pay go to our room which smelt like old smelly socks and discover that the pools are not working??? Why wouldn't they let you know when your paying??? DONT SAY HERE!
Review 66：We are Motorcyclists and they let us bring the bikes into the courtyard where they are right outside our room door. This is a nice security option. The family that own this facility have been updating it slowly over the years and are doing a very nice job.
Review 67：There were ants crawling on bedside table but luckily, none got on the beds. We chose this motel because of their pool but unfortunately, it was not in service. Staff was not prompt to bring towels and check-in is not friendly at all.

Most of the electrical outlets were not grounded. Had to use the owners phone to make a call home, No long distance calls allowed from the room. The place is advertised as if the renovations have been completed. They are not, not even close. Bed was comfortable but the chesterfield / sofa bed in the room is probably 30 years old.

Review 79：They advertised smoking rooms - not available website said hot-tub onsite - no hot-tub no water pressure for shower in second room, doors were also hard to lock in this room, only access to even # rooms from outside, odd # rooms had to access thro walkway & courtyard. When cleaned room no clean cups left, only pulled up sheets on bed, left minimal towels, could be more thorough.

Review 86：The overall design is great. Pool, courtyard and barbeque area just outside the room made it feel like a real exotic get away. The back door to get to our car was very convenient. The room was spacious with the full kitchen and separate bedroom BUT the overall cleanliness was lacking and some of the staff were quite rude. Despite these short comings we had a great week in Osoyoos at the Courtyard.

The bar fridge in our unit did not work well - could not put anything other refreshments on the top shelf as everything would freeze. Asked the front desk to check it but it did not work very well. Our dirty glasses and coffee cups were never taken and replaced with clean one. Have never stayed at a motel where you have to purchase ice, it has always been free. Room not set up with enough electrical outlets, in order to use microwave you had to unplug the coffee maker. Housekeeping was not what we are use to either.
Review 97：The courtyard was very nice and well kept. I like the idea that the units were around the courtyard that it was the focal point of the inn as well as a special area for BBQ.

Review 100：I'm a person who travels a lot and I'm use to less than perfect motels. But this was the worst I've seen. The motel is worn out. Threadbare furniture. Amateur repairs. Overpaid 3X what it's worth. Stay away, far away. Sleep in your car.
Review 101：The place is run down, the staff were simple with little customer service. There were no rules on the patio which lead to people who were loud and drunk at 3:00 in the afternoon. With young kids, this didn't work for us. Our room had a smell that was not pleasant and was also run down with furniture that had tears in the cushions. This was way too expensive for what it was worth. I would not consider booking or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Review 106：Very outdated rooms. Towels were so old one actually ripped. There is no "do not disturb" signs to put on the door an we were woken up twice to an employee in our room asking if we wanted our room to be made up.

Review 110：The single key lock on balcony door entrance didn't seem entirely secure, don't think it would take much to get through it. Could use additional lock system - esp. for during the night security. Room had only 1 heavy curtain on the balcony door - was good for light blocking, but an additional sheer would offer some inexpensive privacy while you are in your room without blocking out the light. Felt exposed to others in the courtyard with curtain wide open to enjoy light + courtyard.
Review 111：The courtyard was nice - green + spacious. Lots of tables + chairs for use in the courtyard area along with several BBQ's. Didn't use the pool but was a nice option to nearby beach.

Review 113：The convenience to the beach as our goal was to try paddle boarding and it was right there. Easy to find. Pleasant staff at front desk. Room was comfortable. The pool was great for the kids.
Review 114：The room was really small considering it was almost $150/night. I was expecting a little more from the room. It was also really strange to have a sliding patio door instead of a normal door, even though not all the rooms were like that. I just didn't like having to close a curtain to be able to have any privacy.
Review 115：The location was great. Only a minute walk to the beach, and the pub that had really good inexpensive food. It was also nice to have the outdoor pool and plenty of lounge chairs out side for guests. There was also a games room with fooseball and air hockey which was great when it was raining and too gross to go out.

Review 122：Despite booking a long time in advance and asking for a quite room we were given one of the only rooms that doesn't open onto the pool area and right opposite a road junction. In fairness when I went back to the desk they changed us immediately. Not sure why we were not given a better room from the start. Only conclusion was that they keep better rooms for "last minuters" who may want to check the room before committing. If that is the case then, while I understand the business logic, I do not think it is the right way to treat customers who have already committed long in advance. Air conditioner was brutally loud.
Review 123：Great place to stay if stopping on the way to somewhere else. The courtyard with pool loungers and grass areas is really nice. Perfect if you are recovering from a long drive. Rooms are a good size if a little tired. Most open straight onto the pool area.

Review 126：Website suggests 8 person room, but motel confirms they DO NOT have an 8 person room. So when you book for 8 people, you get a room that only fits 6. Which leaves you with the only choice of renting cots (which only fit 1 person).

Review 133：The proximity to the lake was great (only 2 minute walk). This family run motel is being updated during off season. They have updated the courtyard, which gives it a very cozy atmosphere, and all the rooms with updated kitchen appliances and bathrooms. Manny, the owners son, is very helpful, and takes pride in this property. Overall, place is clean and well maintained in good location close to beach.
