Reviews for Hotel L'Express
Review 1:Got back to hotel was given one key for myself and friend when I got came to hotel alone one night and explained that my friend had our key they told me they had no other key, so right then I started to get mad how could they not have another key obviously staff needs to have access and after time of arguing I was finally let in and it was my name on bill and credit card
Review 2:at the restaurant, the people were horrible. well, the food was very good, but the waitress need to learn patience and to find her smile.

Review 5:Excellent updated room ( except for bath .....excellent King bed
Review 6:It is an older establishment with a little out of the way location. To get to La ronde we had to pay for Longueil public transportation system than pay for the subway again.
Review 7:It was available on a short notice.
Review 8:STAYED 3 NIGHTS. AROUND 330 EACH MORNING THEY WERE OUTSIDE MY DOOR PUTTING AWAY THE EMPTIES FROM THE BARS. MY ROOM WAS NEVER MADE UP DURING MY STAY
Review 9:BUS STOP TO THE LONGUEUIL METRO TERMINAL WAS OPPOSITE THE HOTEL
Review 10:- House cleaning didn't wash sheets when they cleaned the room, just made the bed. We stayed for 3 nights. - Transit into / out of Montreal was on a 1 bus / hour basis, no other public transit options. - WIFI was down for the first two days we were there.
Review 11:The staff was great.
Review 12:3rd floor room with no elevator carpet was worn with cigarret burns (no smell of smoke) sink toilet and tub chipped. Sheets were so worn out that I could see through them in spots. I think it was clean but because of the above I could not be sure.
Review 13:nice breakfast staff helpful making some effort to be ecologically friendly
Review 14:The back of the hotel was discusting....wobbly stairs, dirty & buses & trucks running their air all night long.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:central location
Review 17:friendly staff
Review 18:sticky, hot rooms no elevator for 3rd floor
Review 19:Tried to use the computer at the business centre but had problems. More serious is location - no shops etc. near by.

Review 23:needs a little maintenance on the outside
Review 24:Convenient , great bed
Review 25:Cigarette smell.
Review 26:Convenient location, quiet, reasonable room size and facilities.
Review 27:Free continental breakfast was limited to a sandwich, fruit & coffee or tea...kids were not happy with choice. Even though we paid for extra roll away & listed all six guests & paid for extra guests we were told we could only have 4 breakfast so my husband & I drank our kids coffee since they couldn't have it.loll
Review 28:Location to Larunde Sixflag was only 20 mins or less away. Staff was very helpful & easy to talk with.
Review 29:dirty, old dirty carpets, reused dirty linen, old, worn-out furniture no access to internet in the room despite that it's advertised bad smell in the hallways ----------------- higly overpriced for what they offered
Review 30:The location is pretty off, there aren't many food choices around the hotel except pizza and their own restaurant. The room has poor ventilation. We have to open the door at the back of the room to let fresh air in. The trucks were very noisy in the middle of the night, as a light sleeper, I ended up being woken up a few times. My view is the truck parking lot. The wifi only work best in the middle of the night.
Review 31:The free breakfast was wonderful. The sink is outside of the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel gives free keurig k cups once a day for each person.
Review 32:there was no ventilation in the room which kept us waking up at night and eventually slept with the door open.
Review 33:clean beds, clean bathroom, delicious breakfast despite an unfriendly waitress who was really rude. great value for the money.
Review 34:The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the location was noisy(construction zone, police action, I mean it was non-stop)
Review 35:The breakfast was great
Review 36:The electronic card to get into the room seldom worked, requiring various staff to let us into the room, The air conditioner knobs were all broken making it very hard to operate, and the view was onto a truck parking lot.
Review 37:The staff was very helpful, the room was clean, the free breakfast was great.
Review 38:Waitress in the restaurant was very impatient with us while we tried to translate what we wanted to order. She made it so we would either give up and eat elsewhere or take a spin and see what she served up. Thankfully the cooks were much nicer and made ordering possible but the service from the waitresses was so unpleasant. In the Junior Suite we stayed in the toilet clogged extremely easily and staff failed to address the issue during our 11 hour outing(we notified them immediately) and had to be dealt with when we came back to our room late that evening. Staff were indifferent and made us feel unimportant because we were not French. The toilet was seperate from the shower as we had a Junior Suite and the "rain style shower". The door to the room the toilet would stick to the point that my boyfriend had to body slam the door to get me out and it could only be closed a tinyyyy bit or we would have to "rescue" each other. The only thing in any of the drawers was an envelop for a tip for the housekeeper. So tacky and presumptuous in my opinion & the only thing that had both English & French. Odd?
Review 39:Great breakfast included with the room. Cooks were excellent to deal with, very friendly considering neither of us speak any French and apparently Quebec people dislike English speaking only tourists. Who knew? Price was great. $516.00 taxes in for five nights during the Osheaga Music Festival in August. We were a $20.00 cab ride (reasonable in my opinion) to the metro to Parc Jean Drapeau which made it pretty easy to get back and forth with all the traffic heading downtown.
Review 40:We needed a hotel for two adults and three children under twelve. When we booked online, we were given a rate that included two double beds and a cot. When we arrived and entered the room, it was incredibly small. The cot was folded up, and we quickly realized that the only place it would lay flat would block the bathroom door and be pressed up against another bed. When we asked for a larger room, we were told we could not have another room, and that althoguh they will do a cot, they recommend against it. Why was this not mentioned when booking, I do not know. After being given permission, my husband rearranged several pieces of medium sized furniture to make room for the cot. This reduced the number of places for seating, as the furniture stayed in the closet unusable for our trip. The next thing we noticed was a lack of bar fridge, which I thought would be present. We had been counting on this for our week-long stay, and had bought food that required refrigeration. The next disappointment was regarding laundry. Even their brochure advertises laundry facilities, but don't be fooled- the laundry is for staff so they can wash your sheets, not for guests to wash their own clothing. The bathroom was incredibly small, as was the room itself, for five people. Lastly, we found a bed bug in the bathroom. It was dead, but it was still a bed bug. I hope that it being dead means they're treating them. We took some pictures of it before discarding it. The hotel is close to a highway and a construction zone and our window overlooked more construction and a parking lot with trucks. Also, wireless did not work in the rooms. I had to go to a common area for connection. My husband was able to get a weak connection with his phone if he stood at a certain spot by the door. i do know they were working on this while we were there, so hopefully this will be improved.
Review 41:For a family of five, it was a good value to be close to the city for $100 a night. The free breakfast isn't just continental, we had sausage/bacon, eggs, toast, fruit and potato. Even though our room only came with two meals, we were able to feed all five of us adequately, which adds to the value.
Review 42:The surrounding, almost like an industrial park and the Wi-Fi was not available even if it was supposed to be
Review 43:The room was renewed lately and was very clean
