Review 1：We had zero service at this Motel. We stayed for 4 days and housekeeping did not come once. Ran out of coffee on day 2, needed a change of sheets and since we never got a visit I went to the office to get them myself and the office was locked, said "will return at 1pm" it was 1:45, no one there and no answer. I can see maybe forgetting to come for 1 day, but 4?!?! Were told on check-in that WiFi could be spotty in our "suite" but it was non-existent.
Review 2：Ucluelet was itself the best part of our stay. The Thornton is located well, a short walk from the harbour and stores.
Review 3：Very nice room clean and very comfortable. No kitchen silverware or plates but no problem just bought paper plates and plastic cutlery. Up side no dishes to wash.
Review 4：Advertised wifi...unable to get it at all,dirty, old, moldy windows, screenless so bugs came in, thermostat didn't work..was turned off but heat kept pouring out. Cold water kitchen tap dripped alot, leaked under sink and had to be turned off when not in use. Very noisy in parking lot during night and early morning...across street from liquor store. Property not kept neat.

Review 9：We stayed for 2 nights in 2 bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and comfortable. It would be big enough for 5 people. Everything was nice and clean. Kitchen was great and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay.
Review 10：Note left on office door...couldn't check-in until 530 p.m...Had to wait around for 2 hours...Didn't actually get checked in until after 6 p.m. as the motel was booked and all the other guests came back at that time to be checked in...Other guests were irritated as well as the motel advertises an earlier check-in time....No apologises given... The room was not clean...old coffee in the coffee pot from the previous guests....floor filthy dirty... hair from previous guests in bathtub...:(

Review 13：The large room looked like new. The interior is very tasteful. Microwave, washing sink, towels, sheets, new and spotless. Lovely large panorama-window to the mountainside. View from the bed to the mountains. Beautiful.

Review 16：We had our booking but the front desk had lost track of what room they had booked for us, 3 try's to find our room. But they were apologetic. About the mix up. There were some electrical switches that had issues with what function they were to perform. We could have used a dinning table in the room.
Review 17：The building we stayed in was just built recently, it was newer than the original part of the building. our room was on the third floor parallel to the main road into town.
Review 18：Most of the time there was no wifi and the owner claims that this is a known problem. We could not lock the windows and when we asked to address the issue the treatment was particularly slow

That same hotel in Penticton or Vancouver would run you approx $85-$110 vs $200. 1978 decor, updates attempted a couple times. Front counter staff very friendly. Front view; a Main Street. Rear view;a gravel parking lot and dumpster.

Review 21：The wifi was not working even though we were told it was available and included in our price. The parking is not great at the best of times but there is a huge construction trailer in the parking lot while renovation are ongoing to the adjacent building.
Review 22：The location is wonderful and the facilities are good. We had a full kitchen but the toaster was broken and the cooking utensils were limited.

Review 26：Very genuine personality at reception. A no-frills, plain, unpretentious suite for two couples and a single. A clean and well outfitted kitchen. A quiet place to sleep! I would come again.

Review 61：Office hours are poor (9-7), should be open earlier than 9 am as many guests will be up and on their way before that. That is why I gave the staff a lower rating. They did leave the key for us the night before, which was appreciated, but I would have liked to see someone in the morning to finalize our bill. I hate leaving without doing that in case there is a discrepancy.

Review 67：The staff was very friendly and helpful even during the time that there was a fire at the motel while we were staying there, they got our stuff out with minimal damage, washed all of our stuff, and even welcomed us into their home as well as putting us up, free of charge at a nearby motel, they were wonderful!!!

Review 85：The pots in the room all had loose handles. Not safe because the you never know if the pots will break. I am not sure if microwaves are standard anymore in hotels but that would have made the trip perfect.
