Reviews for Watermark Beach Resort

Review 1:restaurant meal poor, poor choices and not value for money. Restaurant closed for breakfast and quality of continental breakfast served in room very poor and once again not value for money

Review 2:Quality of room and facilities in the room were excellent and the kitchen facilities were first class for self catering

Review 3:We liked the central location meaning we could walk to restaurants We loved being on the beach although we didn't back on to it! We just love the area for all it has to offer!

Review 4:Our ONLY complaint would be when we ordered from the restaurant to take back to our room. I had the chicken pot pie (delicious) and my husband ordered the 5oz steak strips. When we got back to our room and opened the containers, my husbands meal had approx 6 small pieces of steak and 3 baby potatoes. For 15$!!!! In my opinion it wouldn't have even filled a child. Although delicious, very disappointing.

Review 5:We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom which was fantastic! The room was beautiful and fully equipped kitchen made it so comfortable. Even provided dog bowls and treats :)

Review 6:Had dinner at the restaurant on the first night. Tasted excellent, but even though I was assured it was a good meal size, it wasn't. Not good value of money. (didn't realize it was a tapas place, and I should have ordered several portions -- prices certainly didn't reflect that)

Review 7:Room was spacious and comfortable; location very central, right by the lake. And even though I didn't travel with my dog this time, it's great to know it's a dog friendly place.

Review 8:The location is great! The lake is right next to the hotel and the view from our room was nice. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent.

Review 9:Was not impressed with the design of the dark rugged-looking timeshare buildings. The 3 Heat pumps by the front doors of each unit is not becoming and noisy when in use during the summer. Covered parking spaces are too close to front doors and windows of units. Car start-up noise at all hours and fumes can be an issue. Many already up for resale. Why? Good lake views.

Review 10:Great beds and pillows. Wonderful views. Best location and beautiful beach. Easy and lovely walking opportunities, from local stores to peaceful views along lakeside path. Underground parking is a plus.

Review 11:We had a studio suite which served the purpose of our stay with a small kitchenette. The kitchen had everything we needed except there was a dishwasher which wasn't necessary and it would have been great to have a dual micro/convection oven. Or a butler LOL

Review 12:The view, décor, quality of furniture, appliances, we chose this accommodation for the closeness to downtown shopping. It was quiet.

Review 13:Everyone was wonderful to us, from Paul Scolan to the lovely people at the front desk. All the staff are genuine real people, this is what we appreciated. My husband Patrick died on our 2nd day, he could not have chosen a better place to leave us.

Review 14:Being off season, breakfast was not served. However the front desk person gave us a few tips and we opted for one with an amazing view. Loved it!

Review 15:Loved being on the water and having a full suite made it feel more like home rather than a hotel room.

Review 16:I felt the unit needed a through cleaning or upgrade to the carpets. Only one blanket for the hideabed in the lower level was a problem.

Review 17:Having the spa close was great.

Review 18:Pet friendly room was 20 rooms away from exit on the third floor. Poor location long walk and an elevator ride to take the dog out.

Review 19:Close to waterfront.

Review 20:Carpets in our suite were in dire need of cleaning or replacing! Too much late night noise from the pool and hottub....after quiet time.

Review 21:Great location with all the necessary amenities. Very comfy bed!

Review 22:We requested an upper level corner room facing the water, non pet, but received room with side view of the pool. The room was much smaller than anticipated, and TV did not work. I phoned reception, and they offered a different room, corner room, 2nd flr, but had to accept pet room. No problem with stains on carpet however. Room much larger, great view, great balcony, and we were completely satisfied.

Review 23:2 BR suite quite roomy, and perfectly situated within Osoyoos on main strip and beach. Balcony was great, perfect for coffee in the AM. Grounds are very well maintained. Mid Sept, no kids in pool, lots of sun, warm water.

Review 24:Basic condo couch is not comfy, but we didn't spend much time on it anyways. Water taste was a bit off but that's an easy fix with multiple locations to purchase bottled.

Review 25:Location is #1 in Osoyoos hands down. Staff was really good as well. We traveled with our 4 month old puppy and this hotel / condo is very accommodating for small dogs.

Review 26:The only problem was that the little store that is generally open - where you can get a latte and snacks - was closed the whole time.

Review 27:Quiet location - a bit off the beaten track. The restaurant off the winery - wonderful food and great service - only open for lunch. The main restaurant is too pricey so we don't eat there. VERY comfy beds. Lots of space. Two pools to choose from.

Review 28:Having to go home

Review 29:Booked a studio and got upgraded to one bedroom suite with full kitchen. Enjoyed the tapas restaurant with excellent wine selection. Breakfast restricted to one room service offering but lots of good choices across the street in downtown osoyoos. King bed was very comfortable and location is perfect...on the lake beside a park on a walkway and right downtown.

Review 30:I was very amazed how good the rate was for this quality of hotel. The staff was super nice at the front desk and the food in the restaurant was incredible. I will definitely stay there again.

Review 31:The room smelled awful told house keeping they sprayed Frebreeze Really!!! Fruit Flys every where Couch so stained scared to sit on Carpet very gross!

Review 32:The view

Review 33:Several days before my trip I received an e-mail from booking.com offering me an upgrade for $90.00. I did not accept as the upgrade was for the exact accommodation we had???????

Review 34:I would have liked a "continental breakfast" as a courtesy for overnight guests rather than pre-ordering the night before, for room service breakfast.

Review 35:Courteous, fresh and clean, and a super location, right on the water's edge.

Review 36:Great location, easy to walk for breakfast or lunch, the pool was great for a day of relaxing. We were there for a few days after our wedding, and they gave us a free dessert in the restaurant.

Review 37:I didn't like how you had to order breakfast before 9pm the night before. I mean we were on vacation, did know how long it will take. Also the restaurant we waited 1 hour to get our breakfast. And for a 4 star hotel, I've been to way better places. I would rate it 3stars

Review 38:I liked the location.

Review 39:The first room we were assigned was sub-standard -- there were massive stains on the carpeting and we overlooked a very busy traffic corner. Given that we had a similar experience at another hotel which we had also booked through booking.com, we are concerned that these establishments are assigning customers who book through sites other than through the hotel site directly are being assigned less than desirable rooms at check-in, which were then changed (in a friendly manner) when we indicated that the room was not acceptable.

Review 40:Price was a bit high. If it was slightly more affordable I would come more often

Review 41:Everything! It was a great resort. Amazing views. Service was excellent!

Review 42:Balcony has no privacy to adjacent balcony so many times couldn't sit there

Review 43:Good view of lake Very nice dinner at restaurant but expensive Nice kitchen in 2 bedroom suite Close to liquor store and grocery store

Review 44:the carpets in the rooms and some of the furniture ares showing their age and extensive use.

Review 45:The staff, the weather , the pool, the beach and teh location (ice cream, groceries, pizza place and the main street. two bdrm.

Review 46:So expensive.

Review 47:Nice restaurant downstairs.Clean rooms.Nice staff.Underground parking was great.Liked that it was pet friendly even though we did not have our pet with us this trip.Pool very nice.Great grassy stretch in front of hotel and nice shad under trees.

Review 48:Pool bathrooms/ change rooms were under renovations. Numerous guests especially with small children were complaining. Not sure why it was happening during high season.

Review 49:Great location. Very comfortable suite. My kids loved the waterslide.

Review 50:The balcony on the street side was covered in grease that got all over our feet and kids.

Review 51:the water slide, pool, beach access, restaurant, room, beds, kitchen supplies, everything!

Review 52:None - we had a great time here.

Review 53:Great facilities, new rooms, new decor and appliances. Close to restaurants and the beach. Pool and jacuzzi. Family friendly, they have a nice water slide for the kids.

Review 54:House keeping staff forgot a few things - didn't affect our stay but was unexpected for the nature of the facility

Review 55:Perfect place for 4 adults and a preteen - suite met all our needs; facilities were safe, clean and suitable; terrace/balcony and east view was spectacular!

Review 56:The room was dirty,. Never cleaned the carpet or dusted any furniture or cleaned the balcony, to loud because our room was facing the Main Street . Room was cleaned sometimes to late.

Review 57:Beach close by, front desk very nice, close to everything in town

Review 58:The public park is right in front of the resort and is a daily gathering spot for the transient fruit pickers who are rude and have no respect for public property (e.g. urinating on buildings on a main street)

Review 59:The location; the beach right out front, proximity to restaurants and vineyards/wineries.

Review 60:For the price thought we were getting a full lake view, instead we were overlooking the pool with a partial view of the lake.

Review 61:Beds were very comfortable and room was clean. Rooms were very nice

Review 62:The only negative was the bathroom had a lot of long black hair in it. Very strange given standards of the place which overall are very high.

Review 63:Restaurant is outstanding. The tapas is creative and generous. Terrific wine list. Very nice staff.

Review 64:Main hotel front door needs automatic sensor for opening. only one side opens...nuisance getting in/out without standardized auto function and hand full of bags...pool needs some cleaning and work, several rough edges/floor... no washrooms at pool and no showers to wash before or after entry...under construction... parking stalls little small, SUVS or trucks fit easily. (yes, I can get a smaller car...)

Review 65:excellent location downtown for family with young child, easily accessible to lake and pool, ok service from the staff. good patio and restaurant and nice sized hot tub..parking included which was bonus, wifi was strong and amenities overall pretty top notch.

Review 66:The room booked was supposed to be with lake view . In reality the room allocated was lake side but on ground floor with no lake view.

Review 67:Location is superb

Review 68:We were on street side. Traffic 'noise' unbearable. Could not sit on patio. Charging $45 for a bottle of wine that costs $20 abit much.

Review 69:room setup, pool and location all good

Review 70:We stayed at the watermark in room 318 june 27-28 and it was absolutely spectacular. my husband and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The pool was just beautiful the staff were friendly the room itself was very clean comfortable modern and bright I love the location we were bright across the street from shoppers drug Mart and a whole bunch of awesome unique stores. my husband and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The pool was just beautiful the staff were friendly the room itself was very clean comfortable modern and bright I love the location we were right accross the street from shoppers drug Mart and a whole bunch of awesome stores. The whole experience was unforgettable we highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in Osooyoos. we have a 9 month old baby and were pleasently surprized to have a play pen delivered to our room. It was comfy bed too we slept excellent. The parking is secure underground so we felt safe leaving our luxury vehicle overnight. All the staff were super friendly. I really liked how we had kitchen ware in the suite as well I was able to prepare dinner for my family easily in our room. My husband loved the waterslide. we saw Jessica King (model) in the lobby- that was pretty cool!! Rating ***** (5stars) keep up the good work!

Review 71:There was nothing not to like!

Review 72:Upgraded on arrival to a two bedroom two bath suite. That really amped up our first visit to the resort. After a short mixup about our reservation length we were offered the same room for a second night and gladly accepted. Would love to return next time we take a wine tour to Osoyoos.

Review 73:I was a little disappointed at how loud our suite was - we had a studio facing the city and the traffic was pretty loud, to the point we couldn't have our deck slider open...:(

Review 74:Everything was very clean and the staff was amazing!

Review 75:We were hoping to utilize the "kids club" you still have advertised but found our once there that this is no longer an option:( Also, we were a bit disappointed that you're in the process of renovating the pool change rooms/washrooms at this time of year (i.e. summer tourism vs. winter downtime?). We were a bit disappointed that we didn't get the same rate on our third night (when booking in person) as our first two (booked online) - less likely to extend a stay next time.

Review 76:Our kids loved the pool and waterslide! We loved our room (great kitchen and bedrooms). Also really enjoyed the wine and tapas bar:) Excellent staff throughout the hotel, lots of knowledge at the front desk, and everyone was super helpful, also great service in the wine bar!

Review 77:We prebooked a one bedroom suite with lake view, and instead received a unit located ground level (#109), right beside the gate to the pool. Very noisy, kids in and out. We had no view of the lake, and even the pool was hidden behind a hedge. Babies in diapers were allowed in pool. Disappointing in so many ways...Carpet badly stained, cheap furniture, with very uncomfortable seating. Dozens of backpackers crowded public beach at one edge of the property.

Review 78:The cleanliness. The pool maint. staff were very friendly, as were the front desk staff. Liked the media room, with numerous books and videos to borrow. Easy access to a computer, but very slow.

Review 79:The description on booking.com did not say no breakfast was available inthe hotel at all. The description said breakfast was not included in theprice but not that none was available for payment.

Review 80:Lower cost rooms are offered as mountain/city view, but the road noise of the major highway is such that the only rooms worth staying in are on the lake view side of the building.

Review 81:Great location, modern and clean.

Review 82:We were traveling with friends, so the two bedroom apartment worked well. There was a bathroom for each couple, and plenty of space. The kitchen was well equipped so we could eat together and there were local shops in walking distance. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub too.

Review 83:We booked 2 rooms together and expected to be side by side. Unfortunately this was not possible because of the type of room we booked, but we were not told this until we arrived and it was too late (booked) to change.

Review 84:Central location, on the water.

Review 85:Beautiful, comfortable 4th floor room. Stayed 3 nights, tues-thurs and were upgraded to a 2bd suite. Great weather, enjoyed our time on the deck with view of the lake.

Review 86:Our room wasn't put on the list when they changed our room, so we didn't get any cleaning service. Not the cleaning staffs fault as they came to the room to apologize and they were very nice people. It was the front desk that made us feel like we weren't a priority over the suites that needed cleaning for new guests. At the end of the stay the manager apologized and was very generous with our bill, which shows me they do care.

Review 87:The upgrade to a wonderful suite.

Review 88:Only an outdoor pool. other than that, it was great.

Review 89:We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed drinks on our own patio.

Review 90:Prices are little rich in the restaurant for food that wasn't awesome but still above average.

Review 91:Central location in the heart of town walking distance to everything.

Review 92:Initial mixup with access cards/room

Review 93:Staff had an issue with access cards/room. They upgraded us from a audio suite to a two bedroom suite. Location very central. Pool and hot tub great. Suite well equipped.

Review 94:No block out blinds.

Review 95:This place was in a great location at the bottom end of town. Great views of the lake and across the road from hotel. A bonus was it was self contained with a washer/dryer.

Review 96:Sorry, nothing wrong at all!

Review 97:I was very pleased with the experience. When out of town on business I have to awake early in the morning and so quietness of the hotel is important and the comfort of the bed. Thank you for a wonderful experience and I will most certainly return when I am in Osoyoos again.

Review 98:The fire alarm was going off and after the fourth time I called to ask what was going on and if we should leave the room and the woman yelled "I don't know what's going on" and hung up on me. I called back down and someone different answered and apologized and explained there was an issue with it going off by accident and that we didn't need to leave the room.

Review 99:Rooms are beautiful they have a full kitchen..everything you would need, great location, pool and hottub relaxing. Fun water slide also. I love this hotel. I will be back for sure!!!

Review 100:The restaurant was closed for renos which was too bad but they did offer a room service breakfast option if ordered the night before. Our room (423) had venetian style blinds which let in a lot of morning light - drapes would be a nice addition.

Review 101:Fantastic location, lovely hotel, room was very clean, modern, with balcony - kitchenette was well equipped.

Review 102:Problem with ants in our first room, but we were cheerfully upgraded to a two bedroom unit.

Review 103:Kitchens were well stocked with quality dishes and wine glasses. In town but still feels like a resort stay as long as you have a room with a view of the lake.

Review 104:I thought my car was Gone because 2 levels of parking are both marked P1 in two far apart and separate elevators. My car was in the other P1. The bar closed at 10pm. Epic long hallways...would like more signage to help find doors to the outside. Or a better map to show exit doors.

Review 105:The setting is lovely. The pool and slide are great. Nice to have the bbq's.

Review 106:1. Only one bathroom 2. 2nd Bedroom was very small - could not close door with the bed unfolded

Review 107:Nice that there were shops & restaurants close by that we could walk to. There was a yummy Gelato shop just down the block.

Review 108:The toilet paper. Surely for the price they could provide a nice toilet paper.

Review 109:The private quiet yet convenient location. Convenient, heated parking area. The robes in the room.

Review 110:We got a great deal because it's the winter season. There are excellent monthly rates in winter. Very tempting to spend a month in this beautiful fully-equipped resort.

Review 111:Absolutely nothing!! Will stay here again and tell our friends they should too.

Review 112:Front desk staff were soooo friendly - I was in my room for minutes and they had already called to see if I liked the room! It was really well stocked in the kitchen if you wanted to cook and the hotel is right on the beach, and also right downtown on the mail drag. It also has free secure underground parking with elevator access.Handy for packing suitcases up and down. A very, very nice place to stay.

Review 113:The room faced the street & the noise was bothersome (traffic noise was not filtered out very well). The water pressure was weak in the shower (for me anyway. I like to get in & out quick. Others will probably find it just fine). The restaurant could add one or two more vegetarian options on their menu.

Review 114:The room was clean, modern, spacious & comfortable. The fitness facilities were fantastic. The location was convenient and beautiful (view is spectacular if you are facing the lake). The food in the restaurant was delicious. Really liked that there was underground parking.

Review 115:It would be appreciated to have a choice of flatter feather filled pillow. The pillows are all the same...too full and 'poofy'.

Review 116:good value. The bed was great, nice comforter was very nice but the pillows need to be reconsidered for all guests preferences..

Review 117:In the suite unit, there is just not enough light in the sitting area. It was almost impossible to read, even after taking the shades off of the light fixtures.

Review 118:Location, cleanliness, quietness and the underground parking.

Review 119:POS on elevator not up to date on happy hour :)

Review 120:Great value location. Staff. Sorry dont remember name but just got part time job also with westjet. Amazing girl great energy.

Review 121:Long, narrow hallways. Room too far away from reception area

Review 122:Private patio area with easy access to beach and shopping area. Well appointed rooms with private laundry facilities and well equipped kitchen.

Review 123:The location, the staff, the quality of the room. We were given an upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. The young lady at the desk was fantastic as she gave us info that really added to our honeymoon e.g. best golf courses.

Review 124:What a wonderful experience from start to finish!!! The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, bright....our room was so clean and fabulously decorated .....modern....the hot tub was lovely...I am recommending this place to everyone I know!!!

Review 125:Gym was a little small and did not have much for weight equipment.

Review 126:Lake view was awesome. Bistro was fantastic.. Pool was great, lots of space. Loved the suite, it was perfect for our needs.

Review 127:Nothing

Review 128:We liked the location, right in front of the beach and long walk-way. The large pool and hot tubs were also a plus and very clean. The suite was large, comfortable and overlooking a mountain. Close to restaurants, groceries, and pharmacy. We had a positive experience and would stay there again for sure.

Review 129:Great rooms beautiful views, we did not even leave the room even ordered in supper had it on the deck facing the lake. Would stay agin only longer!

Review 130:Room was clean kitchen was equipped well . No curtons in room no privacy . Did booking from booking .com but got room at the end where there was no privacy at patio. Way too expenssive as we travelled from vancouver newly wed couple but will not go back to that place for sure .

Review 131:Room was clean kitchen was equipped well . No curtons in room no privacy . Did booking from booking.com but got room at the end where there was no privacy at patio. Way too expenssive as we travelled from vancouver newly wed couple but will not go back to that place for sure .

Review 132:There is nothing about this hotel that I don't like. We got a rate of $129/ night, which is a total steal. The room was amazing, and without a doubt the best value I have ever gotten in a hotel room. The location is just about perfect, and the Owl pub across the street has great food and a good atmosphere, and you are just a few steps from downtown and the lake.

Review 133:Central location within walking distance of stores, beach, walking paths, biking trails and excellent eateries! Really enjoyed my stay both in and out of the hotel!
