Reviews for Sandman Hotel Montreal - Longueuil

Review 1:This hotel on the other hand is no where near to the 3 star hotel as there was no refrigerator, microwave and not enough furniture in the room, not a decent size room either, the location does not offer any quality food. Very expensive for the facilities and qualities

Review 2:Only the bed and the staff was good.

Review 3:The wifi was absolutely atrocious particularly at night time. I expected much better from a business hotel.

Review 4:Right next door to Sherbrooke metro on yellow line. However this requires you to change at Berri UQAM to go anywhere else.

Review 5:location is a real selling point for what it is - a standard chain type hotel - it is right outside the metro and a short acceptable trip to a main downtown montreal hub which is essential for enjoying the great city

Review 6:The restaurant food downstairs is really quite poor. I would have liked more food options - or even if the food that had been offered had been edible... My son and I had pizza and it really wasn't edible - poor taste and texture and flavor...

Review 7:The location was super right across the street from the Metro. We really liked the pool and the room was great.

Review 8:Hotel was comfortable. It was great to be able to park the car and jump on The Metro right across the street. We were able to get all around Montreal without driving.

Review 9:The charge to my card when I tried to modify my reservation. It should be posible to change the date closer to the chek in date. Your current policy is fine for somebody that cancels but it is not right for somebody that chages dates only.

Review 10:Location, facilities.

Review 11:My husband didn't like how soft the beds were. I loved it though. Personal taste I guess.

Review 12:The location to the subway was second to none. The rooms were lovely and I loved the beds.

Review 13:Could have gotten a better price if we had cancelled and rebooked.

Review 14:Location, location, location! Right beside the Metro station. Nicely appointed rooms. Comfortable bed. Lovely view!

Review 15:Woman working in restaurant (evening shift) was quite rude if you asked a simple question. And front desk staff doesn't know any directions on how to leave city.

Review 16:Very Very Outdated. Lobby furniture is old, stained and dirty, probably from the sixties. Front of hotel littered with garbage, some was removed when I mentioned it to staff. Rooms and carpet does not feel or smell clean. Had to check out the next morning.

Review 17:Liked Nothing

Review 18:Pillows were too big for neck, work up with bad neck each day. No lifeguard at pool, which was also extremely loud and packed with children, additionally got a foot rash from walking around barefoot in the pool area..

Review 19:When we arrived, parking attendant tried to charge $20 valet parking. But, front desk refunded my money b/c parking was supposed to be free for hotel guests. Also, elevators are slow.

Review 20:We went for Grand Prix weekend and the hotel was so convenient to the race track (one stop on the Metro). Very clean hotel. Also, really liked the sauna.

Review 21:When booked I was adament about the pool. We love to swim and you said the pool was good. It was broken and we could not use it so we left one day sooner.

Review 22:The hotel was easy to find.

Review 23:Instead of the Executive king rooms we had booked, we were given regular king bed rooms on floor 16. Only the Executive rooms of floor 14 get robes. So, we didn't. Hotel seemed understaffed and when we had questions about our bill, the manager refused to come out of his office and explain it to us. In the hotel restaurant, we waited 45 minutes to get a plate of nachos. We asked for water 3 times and never did get any.The waitress was not nice about any of this.

Review 24:Great connection to Metro Free parking Large rooms with nice views of the river

Review 25:It is right across the street from the metro which is so convenient for getting around , also easy to drive to ,it was clean and quiet , a bit outdated, but staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 26:Hotel looks well used. Clean but well used. Very average room. Very above average price but in line with other hotels for F1 weekend.

Review 27:One subway stop from F1 venue. 2 from downtown. Included buffet breakfast. Indoor pool and sauna.

Review 28:The restaurant staff is something to be desired. I went for dinner there, and sat ignored for about 20+ minutes (for a majority of that time there were not staff to be found at all). Was way over charged for water-asked for a bottle to take to the room and was charged $7 price of a 750 ml bottle and was given 355 ml bottle-should have been less. Service throughout the meal was also lacking severely. Wanted another drink, was not given that opportunity. Not sure if it is my lack of French speaking or the lack of a companion, but I felt taken advantage of.

Review 29:The location is great. It is close to Downtown without being super expensive. The facility and room were very clean and standard for a chain hotel. Comparible to the Holiday Inn or Best Western.

Review 30:There was a dirty towel in the bathroom when we got there, floors weren't properly cleaned and chocolate in one of the beds.

Review 31:Hotel was close to the Metro - very convenient.

Review 32:The noise of the road can be listened from the bedroom, so it was very difficult sleeping there. The air conditioned was also noisy.

Review 33:I love the staff. They were always kind.

Review 34:Architectural design of the building has an air vent in the bathroom that "whistles" if you don't close the door to the bath.

Review 35:Able to easily drive and park at the hotel which is right next to the Metro station.

Review 36:First we stayed in this hotel a lot but this time I was not impress we ask for a glass for wine and got bad answer sory my French !! And the next day when we left I ask the front lady not to bill my visa credit card and she did not good I ended up whit a bill for 378$ for one night I add to call and tried to fix up and they did but not offering me notting I give them a big zero I'm never going there again

Review 37:Windows are not opened. Only air conditioner or ventilation is possible.

Review 38:Good Hotel with good location if you have a car and want to avoid city traffic. And at the same time only few steps to metro station and only several stops to city center.

Review 39:The hotel's exterior looks tired (paint peeling / windows faded or dirty) and some deferred maintenance inside - otherwise the rooms were good.

Review 40:It's location right next to the Metro station.

Review 41:Not much around area. You'll have to get on the yellow line to Montreal to see anything but luckily it's a short ride and trains come every 5 min

Review 42:Next door to metra, clean, comfy beds, on site lounge

Review 43:Located a little bit outside, but next to metro station so you could ride to Montreal downtown within minutes. Free parking. Friendly stuff, easy check in/out.

Review 44:Didn't like that there was no hot tub...didn't like that we had to pay 2$ for coffee in the lobby....We didn't like the 12.00 for breakfast....I am used to being at the Marriott where breaky is free and coffee free all day. We also found there was no restaurants within walking distance..Hotel had one but expensive and slow service..

Review 45:We liked the room...the cleanliness....

Review 46:A little hard to find the correct entrance to the hotel.

Review 47:room quality was very good and staff were very helpful. The Metro being just across the street was the biggest plus as you could travel to and from anywhere in Montreal with no hassles.

Review 48:Nothing

Review 49:The hotel seems to have been renovated recently so everything was in good shape. Beds were comfy, good hot water, free parking, and it is RIGHT next to the Longueuil Metro stop so it is a perfect place to stay while exploring Montreal at about 75% of city prices. I highly recommend you get a weekend Metro pass—it pays for itself after four trips. We didn't use the pool (no time) or eat there (why when you have a whole city to pick from?)

Review 50:It was perfect for us as the Metro is right there, and we were going to Osheaga. Coming back at the end of the night was a breeze compared to the hoardes people heading back into downtown Montreal. The front desk staff was great when we checked in. There was a problem with our reservation, but they fixed it right away. This is my 2nd time there and I would go again.

Review 51:I always stay here while im visiting montreal. You save $100 a night by staying just over a bridge from downtown montreal and the metro system is right outside your door. Hotel is super clean and the staff is extremely helpfull.

Review 52:Nothing to do or to eat around the hotel. Hotel itself is a bit old and not very well maintained.

Review 53:Metro at hotel's door step and free parking. It is also a very short and pleasant metro ride to Montreal old city, except having to change line after one stop. The hotel would be a good option for those who drive to Montreal but hope to stay out of the city's congested traffic.

Review 54:The hotel is a bit run down. Paint peeling, old carpets and bedding. The mattress was showing.

Review 55:The staff was very helpful and the location near the metro was convenient.

Review 56:a bit hard to drive to

Review 57:very comfortable near everything metro across the street great view nice helpful staff. I liked it so much I have booked two other night in September for a short stay in Montreal

Review 58:Ice Machines were either missing or disconnected on several floors. Needed to find a floor that had one. No Complimentary coffee available

Review 59:Location was excellent. Metro station to Montreal was right next door. Parking was free. Easy drive to Hotel Location. Staff was very Friendly.

Review 60:We were there for a 3 day visit as the hotel is close to the Osheaga music festival. 8:15 and 8:45 am request to clean the room. Really??? We did not hang the do not disturb sign but we didn't think it necessary. Unresponsive elevators. Tired, stained furniture. Sink was clogged and they had to come repair. $200 per night.

Review 61:Close to metro and Parc drapeau

Review 62:The internet connection was very unstable. It was frustrating to either watch something or talk on Skype because the connection was dropping.

Review 63:the location is the so good: near the subway, stores, restaurant fast-food, and perfect for firework.

Review 64:WIFI didn't work and they charge guests for coffee in the am. The eggs in the breakfast buffet were terrible and the hostess had no personality.

Review 65:Great location. Across the street from Subway and bus station. Free parking.

Review 66:The little things: coffee maker in lobby out of order; ice machine shut off on floor, no maps or concierge service in lobby.

Review 67:Location with parking next to subway station for easy access to Montreal. Location for watching International Fireworks competition. Cleanliness and comfort.

Review 68:easy check in/out. friendly staff, metro right next door, so it made it very easy to travel, free parking of car. room was clean & comfortable.
