Reviews for Hotel Alpenrose
Review 1:We had a room with balcony in the refurbushed part of the hotel. Room very clean and up to the standard desired. Balcony was great with good relaxing view on the mountains
Review 2:IT would have been nice if our luggage would have been brought to our room when it was ready.
Review 3:The room was spacious, nicely furnished, and the view was excellent (room in the guest house, not the old hotel part). We also liked the spa area. Despite the dated interior the food in the in-house Italian restaurant was very good.
Review 4:The 'wellness' only has a whirlpool (with a nice mountain view), a turkish bath and one sauna.
Review 5:The hotel offers three and a four star accomodation. The four star rooms are just great. Nice balcony, good bedding and well equiped bathroom. The breakfast buffet is very tasty, eggs are cooked to order. The restaurant offers everything from traditional Swiss dishes to pizza at a (for Switzerland) reasonable price.
Review 6:I thought that a 10 o'clock check-out wasnt conducive to a relaxed stay. We had to set an alarm in order to eat breakfast and check-out. Also, the spa closed a bit early...8 pm.
Review 7:Beautifully and conveniently situated in an Alpine village that is a starting point for wonderful hiking trails and a short gondola ride to Aletsch Glacier. The staff to a person, was very helpful and friendly to us. Fantastic wood oven pizza!
Review 8:Very friendly and helpful staff! Lovely comfortable room with a great view. Top notch wellness centre facilities. Great buffet breakfast and restaurant.
Review 9:Drying wet clothes is tricky - a small clothes horse in the room would be useful.
Review 10:We stayed in the Casa Andrea building which links to the main hotel building. Very well appointed room. Breakfast had everything you could want, even egg dishes on request. Wonderful alpine views and the sound of cow bells on the mountains. The hotel pzzeria / restaurant served excellent food and wine. All the staff were first class!
Review 11:The breakfast room and the breakfast itself are both there to be enjoyed. It's also great to see such a choice of local products with references.
Review 12:Nice and very spacious room, good wellness area, plenty of choice for breakfast
Review 13:not a really "4 star hotel"
Review 14:Great location and view. Could use turkish bath and sauna.
Review 15:Beds are hard and uncomfortable after a long day of hiking
Review 16:Excellent hotel with great facilities, unique location and friendly helpful staff
Review 17:We booked a larger room which was not facing south and we didnt know that...We would have preferred to have smaller room facing south, hard to know from website...value for money for room facing north not as good as value for money room facing south But everything else was first class.
Review 18:Staff - just super good and friendly and responsive and human Food, Pick up from station Spa excellent - just right Just excellent all round. Danke!!
Review 19:The fact that none of the welcoming information seems to be in anylanguage except German. Even the menu!
Review 20:The magnificent view from my junior suite, and the little terraceoutside. Also the breakfast room view. Free wifi. The storage room toleave luaggage after check out. Restaurant food (evening meal takenthere with 3 adults, 2 children) was excellent.
Review 21:the flexibility of the staff to accomodate rooms, and offer us the possibility to take a shower at the end of our departure day after our walk
