Reviews for Hotel Rebenhof
Review 1:Exceptional hotel. Staff are very friendly and made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The room was spacious and very well appointed. Hotel restaurant is fantastic, serving fresh, local cuisine, every meal we had was outstanding. Location is perfect for exploring the Black Forest and is only a short drive to Baden-Baden.
Review 2:Unreliable Wi-fi connection
Review 3:Spacious rooms. Solid wooden veneer floors and furniture smelling of linseed oil. Picture windows with views of vineyards. Superb buffet breakfast. Excellent coffee. Non-slip wet-room bathroom.
Review 4:No Cell Phone Service
Review 5:Everything was good, staff very friendly and helpful . Good breakfast and very good restaurant on promises . Very nice Room and great shower.
Review 6:Close to Baden-Baden. Nice vineyards surrounding. Brand-new renovated and clean. Spacious room, nice sauna area. Great dinner and very good breakfast. Service on top. Really nothing to complain! We would like to come again.
Review 7:As an American, I find the duvets too warm. A sheet along with the duvet would be nice.
Review 8:The property was just beautiful as was our room. Visited during off season, so it was quite relaxing. Nice breakfast and a very good dinner at the restaurant. Very professional and cheerful staff.
Review 9:Our stay was in late October, and the leaves on the grape vines surrounding the hotel were bright yellow. The scenery surrounding the hotel was simply beautiful. It was so peaceful and quiet and the hotel was very nice. The views were great. The breakfast was very nice, and the dinners we had there also very good! Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Review 10:This was a second visit to this hotel. Beautiful location, several miles from Baden Baden. Excellent rooms & bathrooms, large. Everything top quality, including the breakfast. Plan to have dinner at the restaurant. Spa
Review 11:Nothing to dislike
Review 12:Excellent hotel in a quiet location ,lovely views of the vineyards and surrounds.great breakfast with lots of choices and lovely evening meal
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:Location, location, location - junior suite a little prizy but ALL worth it - first time we had a free upgrade from superior to junior suite - next time we chose junior suite :) Internet perfect - good food
Review 15:Very kind and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Awesome view. Close to Baden-Baden. Ideal for many kinds of travelers (families, with or without children, friends) maybe not for solos.
Review 16:This is a very nice hotel located in the vine yards close to Baden Baden. It is convenient location for touring the Black Forest. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast has a very large selection of hot and cold items and many selections of fresh fruit were available every day.As an added bonus there is parking on site which is important to anyone travelling with a car. This can be difficult to find in Europe..
Review 17:It takes almost 15 minutes to get Baden Baden. There is nothing in the neighborhood and very limited opportunities within hotel to spend time outside of your room, especially if you are with kids. But overall it is ok.
Review 18:Rooms are clean and spacious. Everything was very comfortable. I
Review 19:My husband had a single room, which was quite a good size but found the bed not comfortable. He said he woke up with the imprint of springs/ mattress on his shoulder. Mind you he's a big heavy guy! My double bed was the best bed of the holiday out of 3 hotels, 2 b and b's and a hired villa, in 3 countries.
Review 20:It's set on rolling hills covered with vineyards at the edge of the Black Forest. We saw white and black grapes as we strolled around them from the hotel grounds after our long drive. The hotel gardens contain specimen trees. There's a fantastic view over the Rhine plain. The pond and domestic geese gave a homely feel. The breakfast buffet was second to none! Eggs and bacon, cold meats and cheeses, patisserie, many different types of bread, fruit, 3 flavours of yoghurt -and jam;muesli etc totally delicious! The waitresses all wear dirndls are were pleased to serve us. You can drink the tap water which doesn't have a chlorinated taste. My double Austrian bed was very comfortable-supportive but soft. The view from the balcony over the garden fig tree, the pond, the vineyards and to the Rhine valley was amazing! I had room 4. Very spacious too. When we needed a chemist, we were given a map and GPS co-ordinates for the Apotheke in a nearby village. Oh-delicious beautifully presented evening meal too.
Review 21:We had an amazing suite here with electric blinds and lovely views down across the vineyards. Beautiful room with lovely wooden furniture and huge bathroom.
Review 22:It was very hot while we were staying here so some air conditioning or fans would have been good.
Review 23:This is a lovely hotel, set in beautiful surroundings. It was a pleasure to sit on the terrace to eat breakfast or dinner. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the bathroom well appointed. We would stay here again.
Review 24:The WIFI was of poor quality
Review 25:Everything in this hotel is great. The room was very big with good view. The hotel is very good for those who have car. Free parking is available on the front of the hotel. The staff was very helpful although some didn't know how to speak English. I think I will stay in this hotel again if I visit Baden Baden again.
Review 26:The price is much too expensive compare to the quality of the hotel The internet does not work, they provide 3 networks but none of them work. This is very disappointing and cost me a lot of money as I have to use international roaming for my own internet connection
Review 27:Only think i did not like is that they had thick shaggy carpets in the room and hallway-even though it was kept very clean.
Review 28:We stayed in a suite which was huge. Tons of space for two adults and two young children and a baby. Newly renovated to high standard. Bathroom was exceptionally nice. Staff were v friendly. beautiful setting vinyards. very convenient for en-route stop off from Austria to UK.
Review 29:It was very hot during our stay (28-36 C) and like most European hotels there was no air conditioning.
Review 30:Helpful friendly staff who spoke excellent English, large comfortable room with balcony, very quiet area with lovely views, free parking, excellent food and very clean. We used it as base for exploring the Black Forest and would definitely use again if we’re in the area.
Review 31:It was very warm and there was no air conditioning in our room.
Review 32:Excellent base to explore the black forest Beautiful surroundings Staff very helpful and friendly Very Clean
Review 33:Breakfast was the same every morning so the fourth morning you start to get over it Breakfast room was too hot no fans or circulation
Review 34:The views Helpful staff and air conditioning The patio area for a meal or a drink was a pleasure
Review 35:My only negatives were: 1) no screens on the windows. I know this isn't as pervasive in much of Europe as in the US, but the windows had been left wide open all day to air out the room, which was lovely, but my room had a lot of flying visitors when I arrived. No mosquitos, thankfully. 2) The wifi password wouldn't work on my phone. This may have been an issue with my phone rather than the wifi, but I've never experienced that problem with my phone before (iPhone 5S). The staff were really great about trying to help get it fixed, but ultimately it didn't work.
Review 36:My room was beautiful, with incredible views of the hills and vineyards, and a personal balcony. I wish I'd had more than one night there! The staff were very accommodating, and stayed up late to wait for me coming in on a long drive.
Review 37:We had a GPS so it was no problem finding the hotel. It may be difficult to find without a GPS.
Review 38:We stayed here because the reviews said it had great food. We were not disappointed. Dinner was one of the best I have had in Europe. Breakfast was one of the best in Germany. The room was very large and had a wonderful view. Great bath and shower. Free Parking. Staff spoke good English. This is one hotel I would like to go back to
Review 39:Breakfast not as varied as other hotels, but to be fair, it is not a very big hotel. There was no bar. But there is a mini bar and a room balcony with lovely view. No air conditioning.
Review 40:Staff were friendly and dressed in local costumes, scenery is good. Free Parking.
Review 41:the hotel is a 20 minutes from the city center
Review 42:very nice stuff and location , the hotel is quit and very good for relaxing. the farm are surrounding the hotel with a very nice view
Review 43:Could have had a better address , our sat nav left us in the centre of the town at least 4 miles away, we weren't the only ones to have difficulty in finding it!
Review 44:We were given a free update to a very large room,as it was during a heat wave it was very welcome. The situation was ideal with walks near for the dogs.
Review 45:Lovely quiet location surrounded by vineyards. Our room was enormous with the best shower ever. The hotel was quite busy but staff were still very friendly.
Review 46:We were guests there in a heatwave, and would have appreciated some airconditioning
Review 47:Excellent food, courteous service, charming location with lovely views
Review 48:The spa was not operating during our stay
Review 49:The location is fantastic. The website photos doesn't do it justice. The hotel restaurant has great food and a very nice breakfast is included. But make sure you also go to the nearby YBurg Castle for lunch or dinner. The local white wines are great!
Review 50:That we were there for only one night.
Review 51:Great room with private balcony and lots of windows with a great view over the vineyards. Breakfast and dinner on the cozy terrace.
Review 52:The hotel had free wifi however I could not connect via my mobile phone due to a low phone signal in the area.
Review 53:The hotel was lovely inside and out. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The evening meal we had was delicious and the breakfast was substantial with lots to choose from.
Review 54:The room we had was fabulous with its own rooftop balcony and a panoramic view. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble.the meals were the best we had had in our 2 weeks in Europe.
Review 55:This place exceeded my expectations. After reading other reviews I selected this hotel. We had a suite that was more than enough room for two adults and two ten year old boys. Will come back to here again.
Review 56:The badsteam isn't working... and it is one of the resons I choose this hotel...
Review 57:The views of the vineyards and the quiet ambience... The restaurant is very Good !
Review 58:No Coffee facilities and WIFI a bit on and off. No tourist information.
Review 59:Great location in countryside. Great restaurant and breakfast. Nice balcony overlooking vines. Free Parking
Review 60:Restaurant was busy, service was very slow. It was a bank holiday and a beautiful day and the staff were overwhelmed with diners.
Review 61:Friendly helpful staff, nice property, good location, nice room, excellent shower, aircon was great as it was 30c outside, great views, good car park.
Review 62:loved absolutely everything about this hotel.. in a nice, quiet setting in the vineyards; an unbelievable value for what you get. Very, very nice comfortable room with fantastic views, good food. Wish we could have stayed for more than one night.
Review 63:Breakfast service requires improvement; items that were getting finished even 45 minutes before end of breakfast time were not getting replenished. Wifi signals were poor.
Review 64:Almost everything. Excellent location of hotel; excellent room.
Review 65:Wifi is lost at times, usually early in the morning. I think the problem is with the server not the hotel I usually found it reconnected at about 6.45am. Car parking can be slight problem on a busy night but we always found somewhere.
Review 66:We liked almost everything about this hotel. It is surrounded by vineyards which offer easy walks. It is near the Black Forest High Road - well worth a trip. A satnav is useful for getting in and out of Baden-Baden. We found the Kurhaus/Casino parking best for Baden-Baden. Try the Casino's Black Forest Gateau!
Review 67:It took a GPS to find the place, but once there, the food was great, the room was great, the location was great, the staff was great, and the price was fair.
Review 68:The staff were helpful and made us feel very welcome, and offered us a free upgrade to a deluxe double room when we arrived. The hotel and room were both beautiful and had great views over the nearby winery. The meals in the restaurant are nice, and the (included) breakfast was delicious too. I would definitely stay here again if I ever get the chance to travel through Baden Baden in the future - fantastic start to our holiday.
Review 69:Quiet - both the location and the soundproof room. Food - we ate in the restaurant in the evening and it was fantastic. The breakfast was just a good. The room was massive, newly redone with a huge bed, plushy carpet, a giant bathroom and very nice furnishings. The staff was very friendly and professional. Overall a wonderful stay. I wish I could stay there again!
Review 70:I didn't have any information regarding breakfast, so I could not get this during my stay. They should have done this explanation.
Review 71:Good Sauna facility.
Review 72:Nothing negative, be sure to know the restaurant is closed Sundays but easy to find other possibilities nearby.
Review 73:Spacious room and bath room with cleanness, wide vineyard view looking down from the room terrace, from the restaurant's large window as well, friendly staffs at the breakfast service and front desk, etc.
Review 74:the location is a little bit far from the center
Review 75:1.balcony is great, the room 119 facing a rivulet, which is amazing! 2.the blinder is cool, which supports a good sleep!
Review 76:Absolutely excellent countryside location set among the lovely vineyards with a wonderful view and a very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for the money.
Review 77:wellness center should open much earlier than 4pm
Review 78:nice location in a quiet village, very good breakfast, very friendly staff, good and cheap local wine to buy on spot
Review 79:It is a bit far from town
Review 80:Though it may not be the most luxurious hotel during my stay in Germany but it is definitely the most beautiful hotel in term of scenery, comfortable room
Review 81:Whilst I love dogs and I have dogs myself, I do not think they should be accepted in such a good property.
Review 82:This very fine hotel is your perfect choice if you want to fully relax and enjoy nature, without being too far from Baden-Baden (15 minutes). In the middle of the wineyards, this property has excellent facilities, very friendly staff and a super nice restaurant. Quality of sleep was great. Breakfast was also excellent. We will surely come back again!
Review 83:Very modern & clean bedroom & bathroom, comfy beds, super choice's at breakfast, friendly staff dressed in traditional German attire made it a special stay.
Review 84:The hotel is beautifully decorated and finished with the finest materials. The staff is courteous and helpful. The location, a short distance from Baden Baden, is peaceful and surrounded by vineyards. Dinner and breakfast were served in a lovely dining room with views of the vineyards. The cuisine featured regional and contemporary dishes.
Review 85:Wifi connection very poor if you there for business
Review 86:Very cute place in the vineyard. Nice people and good service. Very clean. If you're around do not hesitate.
Review 87:We have been going to Rebenhof for over 30 years, and still love the experience. The setting, hospitality, and above all the food are always FIRST CLASS!!!l
Review 88:The room turned out to be very hot and if you open the windows then tones of mosquitos will fill the room.
Review 89:The location was as highlighted by others is just amazing. The staff were very courteous and they had very good breakfast
Review 90:There was absolutely nothing.
Review 91:We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade, but the rooms on one side all had incredible views of the countryside. It was so peaceful and beautiful, the evening was spent just looking at it. The food was also really delicious, and the staff could not have been nicer.
Review 92:No resident's lounge/ bar area. Car parking can be a little difficult when busy.
Review 93:Location Cleanliness Comfortable beds Restaurant Pleasant staff
Review 94:Signage to the apartment address poor. Reception was within the the boutique hotel itself which was not explained. I spent 20 mins trying to find 21 at night, in the rain on a motorcycle. The apartment was away from the main boutique hotel by @ 300 yds. up a street gradient hill with ten steps down leading to the apartment, so you will need to be fit. Breakfast was served in the main hotel. Lake view was obscured by trees.
Review 95:Very comfortable bed, high quality bathroom. Good sized shower with wet room floor, good sized second bedroom housing a single bed. vehicle parking outside apartment. Overall represented good value for money.
Review 96:Didn't encounter any problems.
Review 97:The rooms are spacious, the staff in the breakfast/dining room are very courteous, and there are lovely views over the surrounding vineyards. In particular there is a terrace where you can have breakfast or dinner - wonderful for watching the sunset!
Review 98:nothing was disappointing -- would strongly recommend
Review 99:great staff, wonderful large room with splendid view over vineyards. Dinner excellent and prices for food and wine were quite reasonable.
Review 100:Absolutely nothing
Review 101:Loved everything ! Wonderful location amongst the vineyards, garden beautiful and 3 beautiful white geese dabbling around in the stream and small pond. We had a splendid luxury room on the second floor with a large balcony and a view to die for. We had an evening meal which was superb and breakfast was just as good. Highly Recommended. We hope to return.
Review 102:Purple shag carpet, really?
Review 103:Wonderful room with superb bathroom, befitting a spa town! Quiet location in vineyards but Baden-Baden still accessible. Restaurant is excellent.
Review 104:The location is perfect, the views from their vineyard facing rooms are immaculate (you get a really sweet view of the sun around dusk). The rooms are well-maintained, fairly big, and clean. The interior is beautiful and characterful.
Review 105:No Tea / Coffee making facilities in rooms. mini bar in just 1 of the 2 rooms booked. Whilst drinks could be ordered in the dining room, there was no bar area to relax in.
Review 106:Beautiful location / scenery Excellent Breakfast Wellbeing facilities
Review 107:Slightly pricey wine - would have been good to offer a .5 litre carafe. poor wifi - never managed to send out emails whilst we were there.
Review 108:Happy atmosphere. V friendly staff. Great terrasse. Magnificent breakfast. Would definitely return.
Review 109:We were given a room at the side of the road, not as agreed, but fortunately the manager could change us to another with a balcony overlooking the vineyards. A very comfortable and large room, by the way.
Review 110:Rebenhof is an excellent hotel for an overnight stay to rest from travelling in a relaxing environment and to enjoy a good meal served by merry waitresses, and also probably for a view days more while visiting Baden Baden and the Schwarzwald.
Review 111:difficult to find the hotel espically during the night No air conditioning in the room
Review 112:it is in a green area & top of mountain very nice location
Review 113:The internet connection was extremely poor and disrupted our stay. The concierge / reception did not appear to be familiar with Must-see destinations around the hotel and with the absence of internet connection this probably caused us to miss a lot. The food variety at breakfast, very limited.
Review 114:The Panoramic view of the vineyard ever morning was rejuvenating .. The kids enjoyed playing with the ducks, geese and bunnies (very child friendly atmosphere).
Review 115:The variety of breakfast was very limited. The wifi was very poor throughout the hotel. This was very annoying to me and my family. In several occasions my wife had to move down the reception late in the night to make some phone calls. The concierge / receptionist did not seem to be familiar with the must-see destinations nearby the hotel. Definitely something to consider for the future.
Review 116:The panoramic view of the vineyard was breathtaking. The layout and furniture of the renovated rooms were very cosy. Further, the kids just loved the farm's experience with the pond, the bunnies and the geese.
Review 117:Décor of our room whilst clean was a terrible mix of green carpet, red rug, blue wallpaper, brown boarder, red chairs and multi-coloured carpets. I imagine the new rooms in the hotel are better but ours was simply horrid.
Review 118:Dinner was excellent with lovely view over vineyard. Breakfast also best one we had in Germany. Staff very pleasant and friendly.
Review 119:You need a car to have an access to the hotel and to go to Baden-Baden where there are bathing facilities.
Review 120:Staff are nice and facilities are modern and well functioning. Spacious room. The building is surrounded by a nice hilly vineyard.
Review 121:I stayed in August, on a sunny day, my room turns to an oven and the fan in the room is of no help. I am not sure if this is the case in every room facing west.
Review 122:Huge breakfast, the view from the window overlooking the vineyards, lovely staff, easy access to the highway & center of town.
Review 123:Very little to complain about. Small things were the WiFi that didn't work but who cares for a short stopover. My fiancee found the bed a bit hard but a massive improvement over that which we suffered in Italy. We did notice some rather tasty red pile carpets in some of the other rooms but our white one was lovely. May need the help of an interior designer when it's time to replace them. But this is nit picking. Would definitely stay again.
Review 124:The staff are simply fabulous. We arrived late due to traffic in Switzerland but the manager kept a chef back for us and we tucked in to a delicious steak with fries. Our room was massive, very clean with a lovely balcony. And a gorgeous view to wake up to having arrived in the dark. Breakfast was great too.
Review 125:After a long drive from Italy to the UK this was the prefect place for a stop over on one night. With a young family, our room as spacious, clean, great vineyard views and very tranquil. The staff were very warm and food was excellent. The Ingram family, Dorset, UK
Review 126:The wifi is POOR. does not connect at all. or if it does, really really slow. apparently this is due to the isolated location of the hotel. The location of the hotel is about 10 - 20 min walk away from the nearest bus (to go to town). Though due to its beautiful scenery, we did not mind at all making those walking trips multiple times a day. the location of the hotel is meant to be far fetched from the town in order to give it an isolated/relaxation vibe. However, we recommend that whoever is planning on staying at this hotel, better rent their own car instead of waiting in on the public bus (which btw, makes its last and final trip at around 7-8 pm)
Review 127:LOVED the surrounding area in which the hotel is located. Among vine farms. the breakfast is simple, but efficient and enough. Staff is great at welcoming and helping. clean, comfortable, big rooms, with unbelievable balcony views.
Review 128:It was all good.
Review 129:The rooms were comfortable. The view and location in the vineyards were a great pleasure. The food in the restaurant was good. The hotel is very well managed. It provides a great base for visiting the Black Forest and Baden-Baden.
The Fine Print
Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sundays between November and April every year.
