Review 1：after retiring for the night, there was knocking and banging on doors for a few hours which kept me awake for most of my stay

Review 2：the room was clean and even though it was an older building ,there was no old musty odor , and the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Upon my arrival to register, the staff had realized that another staff member had let out the room to someone else and placed me in another room with better beds.

Review 3：The cleanliness of the rooms were only fair as the floors were, for some reason, sticky.

Review 4：The owner of the inn was very hospitable and recommended me places to visit and even lent me a bike for the day so that I could check the nearby places of Campbell River.

Review 5：The staff that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. He had read what I had written in regards to what I would liked. He had done both things. He greeted us like an owner who couldn't try any harder......he went up to the room with us the first time and showed us attention to detail.

Review 6：The room was poor, obvious cheap and ugly repairs visible in room, noac, no pens or paper- extremely sub standard. I stayed in a hostel thenight before for $20 which was better maintained and had more services!

Review 16：Nothing. It was horrible!!! The owners were rude. Didn't care at all. Hotel was full of crack addicts! The fact this hotel was available on Booking.com is a disgrace. We left a night early and they charged us anyway!! Complained to Booking.com and they did NOTHING!!!

Review 17：Receptionist a bit creepy. Hotel generally a bit run down. Room not made up - we were told the housekeeper had not reported for work. No hint of an apology from the receptionist - he seemed to think it was funny. Problem with leaky taps - perhaps the maintenance staff had not reported for work as well. Had to scour the area for a decent restaurant. Downtown Campbell River is a bit run down.

Review 19：It was a very old hotel, a bit run down, no air conditioning, fan in room did not work, room smelled like smoke, the room next to ours were smoking and it came through the bathroom fan, as well as pot smoke from the next room coming in the window.

Review 20：Cleanliness is poor; you could write in the muck in the window (which did not lock). The bed tipped up when you sat on it. A mercury tilt switch was exposed; dangerous. The floor was uneven. There are paint splashes in the bathroom, a gap in the shower attachment. It was horrible. Oh yes, and there is an "exotic showbar" out the back with clients who shout out at 3.00am in the corridor.

Review 23：The staff were really courteous and friendly. Although decor was very dated, the rooms were very clean and had everything I needed. I'm a very frequent traveller all over the world and consider myself quite picky, on arrival I was a bit unsure, but really a good stay and great value!

Review 24：General appearance is shabby and run down, our first room smelled of smoke and had a spent cigarette butt in the toilet. The second had and interesting "wavy" floor. Party noise kept us up till 3:30 am.

Review 81：The room had an odd smell to it, The heat register was not working and there was a space heater in the room to be used if cold, which I did. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The one major thing I did not like, there was no maid/cleaning service to replenish anything that was used and the bed was not made up. Would I stay at the Harborside Inn again, sorry but no.

Review 83：The staff did not calculate our bill correctly, they did not give us extra pillows as requested. They only keyed our passkey for one night instead of two, and there is a ramp on the second floor that is too steep and very dangerous which I had to use as I need a walker.

Review 86：The manager is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is better than it first appears - it is clean, quiet and located close to the waterfront in Campbell River. The owner is making improvements as money permits.
