The Outside Inn sells fast on our site. This Ucluelet inn is 6.2 miles from the Pacific Rim National Park, featuring Wickaninnish Beach and Wild Pacific Trail. It sits in a 5-acre rainforest and offers private cottages with barbecue grills.
A microwave, refrigerator and electric kettle are included in every at The Outside Inn. Each one has wood floors, a small dining area and a patio. Cable TV and a bathroom are also in all individually-designed cottages.
Surfing, yoga and other fitness lessons can be arranged by the staff of Outside Inn. Each cabin has special storage for equipment, including surf boards, fishing rods and bicycles.
Parking is free at the inn. Long Beach is a 10-minute drive from the property. Ucluelet Aquarium is 5.8 miles away.

Review 1：They put the barbecues away in the winter n online it said there would be barbecues. We bought food to grill and had to beg a neighbor to let us use their grill.

Review 5：The owners are were very welcoming and wealth of information regarding Ucluelet, Long Beach, and surrounding area . The "Ceder Cabin" was very clean, with coffee maker, microwave, small fridge, BBQ, spa bath and TV. It is secluded and very peaceful. (They are about 4km from town). Loved the nightly starscape!!
Review 6：We were warmly welcomed and the owner shared a lot of local knowledge with us! The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were adequate for our stay!
Review 7：Nice location close to the Pacific Rim park and Ucluelet. Very quiet and lots of room for car parking. We had a very spacious 2 bedroom house with full kitchen and really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that is missing is an internet connection, but for short stays that's no problem.
Review 8：Bears in area and dogs barking at night, as bears trying to get apples off apple trees in the back of property. No amenities close by. It is a distance off the main area of Comox
Review 9：We loved having a fire pit so we enjoyed our evening sitting around the fire. Price was great for this area and interesting cabin was a converted garage that had 2 bedroooms which was perfect for 2 couples. Very clean and all you need in the kitchen to make yor stay enjoyable.
Review 10：Beautiful yard. Staff was excellent, felt very welcome upon our late arrival. Was very willing to help us out as we arrived feeling a little ill from the travel in. Gave us suggestions for meals and sight seeing in the area
Review 11：The kitchen and small fridge, with just a microwave made self catering very limited. The problem is that there are no shops within miles,and the eating out facilities in Uculet are limited, so if visiting be prepared food wise. Also this was the first accomodation in three weeks of Canada travels that didn't provide complimentary tea and coffee, and I would recommend to the owners to consider this for future guests. We enjoyed our stay nevertheless, but overall the cost is on the high side considering the lack of facilities, no laundry being another example.
Review 12：It was great having a real log cabin in the woods, with an upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The temperature regulation is by thermostat rather than the usual noisy air con, and this was appreciated as we visited in the first cool weather of autumn.

Review 15：We found the Outside Inn a very comfortable cabin with nice surroundings and a nice ambiance in the cabin. The basics were there, although the fridge was a bit small. while it is located on the outskirts of Ucluelet, it isn't far from the main part of town -about 5 minutes by car and was very close to a lovely trail that took you to a picturesque Bay and sandy beach when the tide is low.
Review 16：The owners are wonderful. Location is peaceful and secluded. Not a far walk from the beach. They are also pet friendly. We appreciate the gate on the front porch so our dog henry could just chill outside while we cooked dinner. We stayed in the coastal cabin and it had everything we needed for our short two day stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can save money by cooking your own meals. We felt like we had a nice, private stay and will surely consider returning on our next trip to the west coast of the island.
Review 17：Thought there could have been a few supplies included, i.e. coffee filters, paper towel, tea towel, dish cloth. Only one face cloth for a booking with two people.

Review 20：Cat was great! showed us to our cabin told my boys to treat their yard like it was ours, and to play with any toys they wanted to. The Cabin was close to all the amenities but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. We loved it there and wish we could have spent more then one night.
Review 21：We did not realize there would be a flight of stairs to the bedroom which was a problem regarding the luggage. One we got the luggage upstairs, there was no place to put it. Luggage racks are not expensive and would be a helpful investment. There was no rubber tub mat and the tub was slippery and there were no grab bars near the tub. These things are essential to avoid a fall and a lawsuit.
Review 22：The cabin concept was unique and offered a lot of quiet and privacy. The garden was lovely and added to the experience. The bedroom and bed were perfect for the style of the room.
Review 23：Some lights did not work, the microwave did not operate properly and the individual who registered us could not find a remote controller for the TV. The advertised dog walk to the inlet from the cottage did not exist. All in all, quite disappointing.

Review 25：Nice loft cabin was very clean and quiet! The kitchen area is really small but for the one night we stayed worked just fine. If staying more than a few days, you'll need a bigger place. Bathroom was very reasonable and the bed was quite good.

Review 30：Our hosts were amazing, very friendly and hospitable. Loved the Events listing on the main cabin of what's going on in Ukee/Tofino area. The Cedar cabin comfortably fit two adults and two kids. Had access to a BBQ for dinners which made it that much better!

Review 40：Satellite went out everynight around 9pm not an issue but something to be aware of if you dont like the person you are with too much. Would be awesome if the cabins had a deck of cards or board games!

Review 43：The hot tub was great! Especially on a rainy West Coast evening. The staff gave us excellent tips about where to find a great restaurant in Ucluelet, a local access point to the beach and best of all, a spot to see black bears!

Close to some great beaches, 5 minutes from Ucluelet and the place itself was super tidy. The owner was very nice and attentive. I would recommend this place for sure.

Review 57：Cleanliness of cottage. the floor was absolutely filthy and the kitchen was meagerly stocked--no strainer for pasta, few pots and dishes, cups, etc. My older kids (21 and 17) were on the pull out couch which was so uncomfortable they slept in the van and on the floor. Plus the cot kept my husband and I awake the first night (they tried to sleep on the cot) as they turned we heard every creak and squeak.

Review 61：On the day we were to check out we went to the office and there was a sign saying that the office was currently closed temporarily and would return at a certain time. Ran some errands in town and came back at that time and it had been pushed back again with only a few minutes window. There was a phone number to call and we were informed to just leave the keys in the suite. Really a small deal but we were on a tight schedule and communication previous tone this would have been nice to save time. Minor issue for sure and again host was very accommodating and I would definitely still highly recommend this place
