My wife and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and she definitely made it special by giving us a bottle of wine as well as a later check out time. We will definitely be staying here again!!! Review 9：Saw a huge bug in the hallway. Jacuzzi corners were dusty, carpet was dirty, staff was rude when we arrived, breakfast was measly and not fresh. Pool was freezing cold and the area by the pool was not sully decorated or finished.

Review 34：Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Marble throughout, good quality everything, nothing broken or worn-out. Staff was courteous and professional. My kids loved the pool. It was too cold though, supposed to be heated, I was expecting it to be warmer. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We stayed in a wheelchair accessible room, that's why everything was so spacious. It was great to have a small fridge and microwave in the room. I had brought some drinks and snacks for my kids, and was able to keep them in the fridge, and make popcorn and heat up some snacks for them. Breakfast was the usual continental style with a good variety of choices (included in the cost of the room). You could also get an eggs-and-sausages style breakfast for an extra $5 but we didn't order that. Did not eat in the restaurant, but had a look at the dinner menu and it had some really interesting dishes that I would have loved to try if my kids weren't with me. There was nothing on the menu my kids would like, it's more geared for a grown-up palate. The location was very convenient for me as well, as it is easily accessible by public transit. There are some restaurants within walking distance from the hotel as well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and I would go back again! Perhaps in the winter so I can use the fireplace that was in the room!

Review 36：The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms and hotel itself were very clean and up to date. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, beest sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The Rivera suit was deffently a good choice for a young couple who wanted a nice romantic getaway.

Review 64：When we booked our room at evening,there is trainee who told us the breakfast on the next day will be postphoned to 12pm because today is new year eve and everybody sleep late. However, next morning when we go to breakfast at 11, the front desk told us the different story. They told us the breakfast indeed end at 12, but the free one end at 11,and if we need breakfast, we must pay for it. In addtion, we asked for stay late. They are fine with it. But my door swipe card did not work after 12. We were locked out when we finish breakfast. We asked help from front desk, they did some change in the computer and told us we can open the door now, however,we still cannot open the door. And i went back to the front desk again for help. We live in 5th floor. I run back and forth 3 times! Can u believe that?!

Review 66：To begin with, our fridge didn't work and when we called front desk for help they couldn't do anything regarding the issue. Secondly, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was very stiff, my sleep was soo terrible that I missed my own bed at home. Lastly, even though we requested for late checkout when we arrived, the maid ended up banging on our door at 11:45 AM when we were still sleeping. The lack of customer service, the comfort of the bed and lack of staff communication was a big turn off and therefore I don't think we will be returning back to the Monte Carlo unless these changes can be improved.

Review 91：The check in girl couldn't find my name on arrival. She asked me to go to the business center and find my e-mail. Then she asked me to print it and there was no paper and no toner. She came there and took the information and tried again and she couldn't it. About 20 minutes later she found it and she wanted me to give another credit card as my wife was not with me. We were there to attend a wedding reception of my son and his bride at a nearby banquet hall and she couldn't be there as she had to be there to receive the couple. I came to your hotel to do a quick change and get back to the banquet hall. At the time of booking, an option was available to use any method of payment at the check out. When I told her that my wife will be there at the check out, she was adamant the either she should be present or another card should be produce. My point is that even if we didn't show up at the hotel, you would have still charged on my wife's credit card as there was a hold on her card for the entire amount at the time of booking. I almost missed the arrival of my son and his wife as I had to spend almost 30 minutes to check-in.

Review 94：There are some minor issues that I would like to mention. 1. The indoor pool has a brown rim at the water line. This should be cleaned more often. 2. The bathroom curtain smelled not good. Needs to be washed or replaced. 3. We were two adults and two small kids but we received only towels for 2 persons. I had to get more towels from the pool area. 4. The child crib that was put into the room was not clean at all. There was no linen provided. We did not use it. 5. The computers in the business center were infested with viruses and I was not able to print documents since many print jobs of previous guests were in the line up. The computers need to be maintained better.

Review 96：When you look close you can see some unclean areas. When I was in the washroom I noticed the corners of the washroom had built up filth. I suggest checking the rooms before you use them. When an event is on every hotel guest knows because you have to go through the area where the event is being held in order to get to your room.

Review 98：I went to this hotel to check in 2pm or so in Aug 6, 14. The staff at front desk said the room I book is not ready yet. She asked to come back at 2:30. I came back at 3:30, but the room still was not ready. Eventually I check in almost at 4pm. The pool also was not ready for use. I request the front desk to call me when the pool is ready for use, but nobody call me until I came down to ask for myself to find out the pool is ready for use. Breakfast has too little choices to choose from. The cup and the plate is too small. In my experience, I have never receive no room when I check in and never have to leave and come back and wait. The web site said the check in time is 2pm. It is not true. Also the carpet in the room is very very dirty.
