Review 1：We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Even though it is a backpackers hotel, the conditions were great. The rooms were spacious and we had a balcony. The staff was really nice and helpful. They know the area quite well and gave us helpful tips and suggestions of what to do. We had a car so it was very easy to go around to all the hiking trails. But there is also a bus stop right next to the hotel which can take you to the hiking trails. The price is very reasonable for Switzerland , great value for money.

The barmaid was very helpful - preparing two delicious rum hot chocolates to order last thing at night - to finish off a very satisfying stay. Will certainly book again when we return to Laax.

Review 25：&Quot;Greeted" upon arrival (7 pm-ish) by a note with our keylaying on a ledge/desk in a dark, desolate reception area. The wholesituation with this hotel was creepy and disappointing. The promisedwireless internet appeared to be non-existent so we could reach contactperson via Skype; the room had a paucity of functional lights (and theones that were working were about 15w); the promised coffee machine inthe main gathering area was either non-functional; the"balcony" advertised for the room was a cement pad outside ourdoor. While this place may be a good option for a group of 4 who come toski in the winter and split the cost of the room, for us (summer, familytravel), it was very poor value and service.

Review 27：I think I was misled by the extremely positive reviews of this hostel.Just to be clear, this is a *hostel* not a hotel, and much like manyother hostels - basic, clean but certainly not anywhere close to thestandard of a normal hotel. With that in mind, in my view it was muchover-priced for what we got. It would have been fine at 1/2 or2/3 of the price, but I was unhappy to pay so much for so little.
