The attention to detail is not there anymore.The quality of staff has gone down. The magnificent view to the desert is now blocked off with trees. One could feel that the hotel management is cutting down cost and now targeting a different type of clientele.

I was not able to enjoy the pool with my family at night because of privacy issues. Plus I discovered that my pool was visible from my neighbor's pool.... I could not enjoy.

Review 42：The rainforest experience I would not recommend. Not worth the value, the way it was advertised was not what we experienced. The water was cold all the way round so we were freezing which didn't make it enjoyable and the massage pool at the end was also cold so we rushed through. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. For the amount of money we paid for the stay, this should be complimentary for all guests as it wasn't worth the money we paid. The flies, there was so many flies about the whole resort, we could eat outside in the lovely weather and even sunbathing around the pool, it was full of flies. Maybe 30 flies around you, irritating you none stop! Such a shame when you go to such a lovely place, you do not expect that! Had to change rooms due to the constant noise of the children next door. Of course children are children but when you go to stay in luxury hotel like banyan tree you would think there would be part of the villas that are for adults only or well sound proof

Review 54：Unfortunately, there was a large conference group staying at the hotel during our visit which meant that access to some of the facilities was restricted. The Thai restaurant (which we anticipated to be a highlight of our visit) was not available, meaning meals were restricted to one restaurant (Al Waha) only. The daily afternoon Falcon Show was also not available on the day that we were there (however, since Reception had told us otherwise, a brief, but excellent, private show was arranged for us). There do also seem to be some issues around the technical services. In one of the two villas our party stayed in, we were unable to obtain any hot water (despite two visits from the technician). In the second villa, the pool was too cold to use and again, despite requests to adjust the temperature, this was not resolved before we departed. The restaurant service was also patchy. Though staff were friendly, basic requirements such as napkins and salt and pepper on the table had to be requested. Overall, the service just was not quite up to the standard of a hotel in this category.

Review 55：The setting in stunning desert, accommodation in individual villas and guest facilities are excellent. The Spa (including the Rainforest Experience) and recreation facilities (the Falcon centre and stables) are superb and well worth a visit. Staff at the Activity Centre (with regard to the Falcon show and stable visit) and the Spa (enabling us to return to use the Vitality pool) went out of their way to be helpful and provided service that was exceptional in terms of ensuring that we were able to enjoy their specific services.

Review 56：When I check in it was 6 pm so I requested a late checkout, but the staff refused totally to give me more than 1 hour late checkout although there was no a lot of reservations. The tv wasn't working when I reach my room and took the hotel 3 staff and 45 min to make it working When I went with my wife to the falcon area we knew we were out of the show time so we requested only to take a photo with the falcon but the falcon trainer she refused totally and answered in a rude way to let us take a photo and request us to come only in the show time, when we went out of the building we found the falcon putside and the worker there let us to take a photo happily so we didn't like the falcon trainer attitude At the check out time, the reception didn't call us to ask if we are ready or not, and they send the staff to take pur bags earlier which made us feel that we are forced to leave now

To have your own temperature controlled swimming pool, facing the dunes and wildlife - is a great bonus in this hotel, just relax in your swimming pool and watch al mahas and oryxes passing by. You can request reception and they will send you technician to your villa to have desired temperature of swimming pool. As it was summer we requested 25 degrees, that was done immediately. The swimming pool is good size - 3 by 6 metres. We enjoyed our stay!
