Review 1:Front desk: two persons, night & morning: English unintelligible Restaurant staff loud, shout to each other across room.

Review 2:Good heat control in room.

Review 3:Our pillows had smudges on the cases, maybe from eye shadow. If we wanted eggs for breakfast there was an additional $8.00 charge. I would have preferred to know this on the web site. Also there was a hold with an extra $50 put on my credit card which was not explained very well.

Review 4:The restaurant manager at breakfast was rather rude with regard to explaining the voucher system used.

Review 5:Excellent accomodation and great value for money.

Review 6:Cleanliness and upkeep of the property was top notch; rivals the Fairmont Properties. Décor wasn't modern, but if you're not spending time in the room, it doesn't really matter. Appreciated having a fridge and microwave in the room.

Review 7:The were signs of uncleanness left behind in our room from previous guest. The breakfast was meager and inadequate.

Review 9:My family and extended family have stayed here on more than one occasion and have enjoyed our stay each time. The rooms are very comfortable and a good value.

Review 10:Flushing the toilet was very loud, and it ran for a longer than usual time. We had the whirlpool suite, and the jets didn't work. We also wanted to rent a movie on the tv but for a new release it was $18.99, which is a bit ridiculous considering it costs that much to purchase and own the movie, and renting is only $7 usually.

Review 11:The location was great, it wasn't in a traffic-heavy area which I liked, because I'm from a small town. The room was just super comfortable and the tub was relaxing. We got this room last minute and the value for the money was fantastic. I would definitely come back.

Review 14:It was lovely. We did not have any trouble...except for my parent's room.Two of the light fixtures did not work...room 214. However they did not bring it to your or my attention so this is not a complaint just a heads up. Unfortunately due to time constraints we were unable to sample your breakfast. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in Toronto. Thank you

Review 26:Checking in was horrible I prearranged everything for my friend to check in. He was given a hard time cause the clerk couldn't find the paperwork instead of calling me immediately the clerk upset my friend very much. I will not stay there again.

Review 27:The Jacuzzi-King Bed Suite was such a surprisingly very large and well appointed room. Clean throughout and included a separate sitting area with a small coffee table and two individual living room type chairs. Bonus was the desk, bar fridge, microwave and a good size flat screen TV. Nice low rise building with free on-site parking and complimentary breakfast available to guests. Staff were prompt, polite and courteous..

Review 28:Need to do a proper clean up as Lift have a strong odor of wet mop in the early morning which is not pleasant.

Review 29:The Location and design of Building. The Wifi is strong and automatic when you are in your room: no need to enter password.

Review 31:We checked in pretty late in the evening and the concierge offered a late checkout till 1pm so that we can catch up on our sleep!

Review 32:I knew I would be checking in late (6pm) which is what I put on my reservation I called the hotel at 6:30 confirming my reservation and asking if I could pay in cash so the deposit wouldn't take 3 days to go back on my credit card the man on the phone said yes. When I showed up to the hotel I was told my booking.com reservation was cancelled I asked what time I was told at 6pm so my follow up question was why was I not informed of this over the phone? I could've made the payment by credit card right then and there. He proceeded to give me attitude and told me if I wanted a room it would obviously be at a higher rate which at this point I had already arrived and had no choice.

Review 33:I went out that night and the hotel was a $10 cab ride away so it was convenient.

Review 34:i booked my hotel reservation by booking.com few months before and they charged me more with some reasons they explained them but previous time i came to same hotel i didnt have any problem like this. this was annoying

Review 36:Fire alarm went off thee times in the middle of the night. When I brought it up to the staff on check out, they wouldn't acknowledge it happened.

Review 37:Worst experience ever.....will never return to this hotel chain ever. I was given a room with a heater that didn't work. When I complained to front desk I was given two blankets and told there was nothing He could do. I warmed the room with the steam from the shower and a portable heater. In the morning complained to mangmt who checked the heater and agreed the heater wasn't working properly. He offered a free breakfast which was included in my booking and then stated he could take $20 off the cost of my room or give me points toward a future stay. I explained to him I would never return to the Monte Carlo and I would defn'tly contact mngmt. Overall experience...cold reception...cold night...NEVER AGAIN

Review 39:Forgot toothbrushes and reception was no help never been to a hotel that charged for 5 dollars for toothbrushes, front counter was extremely rude. Checked in and the room hadn't been cleaned yet. Location was out of the way. Cable worked for part of our stay but only some channels talk to the desk anD was told there was nothing they could do

Review 41:no real problems but you could hear obvious noise from other rooms (not clear conversations) but thankfully they were to bed at acceptable hours. they might have heard my tv on late too but no one complained.

But the bar/restaurant staff are very rude and can be quite abusive towards westerners .It is like they only want chinese people to go in their restaurant . As a very well travelled Englishman throughout asia i can speak/understand a multitude of languages one being mandarin this is how i discovered the unpleasantness of the staff there. If you need to stay there please stay clear of the restaurant they dont deserve your Dollars.

Review 44:When we came back to the room after being at a party our room key didn't work. My husband went to front desk for help. The man there gave my husband are hard time about the problem and raised his voice to my husband. Not all that professional in my opinion. But all in all nice place.

Review 47:Minor upgrade of 1 room. only 15 minutes from our dinner, (the other Monte Carlo the one apparently I should have booked was only 2 minutes)

Review 48:-The breakfast staff is terribly understaffed. The sweet Asian lady worked her butt off but she had no one to bus, and only herself to serve 40-50 people. She was a dynamo but she won't stay if the owner whom is separate from the hotel does not support her.

Review 49:-Fast service in the restaurant. -Free parking. -Hi def. TV -Centrally located for quick access to all regions of the GTA -They had a phone charger I could use when I forgot mine. A real life saver for business.

Review 50:The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Also the convenience of the on site restaurant was a bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

Review 51:First room- was good but neighbor set alarm before they went out..It beeped for hours..staff said they couldn't enter room to turn it off because it was occupied...they finally moved me Second room- stank but I was so tired I was willing to put up with it..went to get into bed and stepped in poorly cleaned up puke..pulled covers and it was all down the side of the bed...took pics and went to reception...they treated me like I was the problem Third room- on main floor very loud but I had no other options...stayed there till morning..never again!

Review 53:I loved everything about the Hotel, the staff was amazing. The facilities were great. Breakfast, wifi, location and the staff were brilliant.

Review 54:Singer was too loud in restaurant. Couldn't have conversation. Cleaning staff showed up to clean room at 9 am and woke me up. People across the hall were yelling outside their door and pounding on the door at 5:30 am. Front desk had to be called. I asked the front desk to give me some sort of a refund for the worst hotel stay ever! First and last time staying at the Monte Carlo Inn.

Review 55:The room smelled musty. Hotels should get rid of carpeting and put in linoleum flooring.

Review 60:Friendly front desk staff. After alerting the front desk staff of the nasty room, they assigned us another room that was much cleaner and bigger. The room service food and staff were very nice.

Review 64:Breakfast nice, but not great. Internet speed is below 1Mbit/s. Toiletries are very cheap and absolutely not usable. Towels are small and get wet quickly.

Review 65:Very clean, friendly staff Have business center with 2 computers and printers - you can print boarding pass. Nice restaurant - I had lunch one time and it was ok, may be little overpriced. But it's ok if don't want to drive for lunch/dinner. Very quit. A lot of parking available.

Review 66:There was only one elevator, and I know there are only 3 floors, but with a baby it was a little frustrating at times. If stairs aren't a problem or you don't mind waiting, you'll be fine.

Review 67:We arrived in Markham quite a bit earlier than expected and they were able to offer us a room half a day earlier than booked (paid of course). By the time we finished breakfast, the room was ready. Great, because we had a baby in tow.
