Review 1：...we felt like we were in an industrial park. ...the room was a disappointment. We have never stayed in a hotel where the room opens up into the bathroom.

Review 3：The breakfast just takes place from 6:30 to 9 am. On my day of arrival (I arrived at the hotel at midnight) I couldn't find any information about the breakfast time. The following day I missed breakfast, because I was 20 minutes late.

Review 14：The a/c was not working it was very hot room, I went to the front desk they changed room on the pool side was a little better but still not cool as an a/s should be. I did not appreciate getting lost in some alway to the breakfast, so I decide to take my car to the front to go for breakfast, on the second morning I founf a lady who was doing up rooms to get help, noone had mentionned I had a flight of stairs to go up.

Review 16：Even a discounted room should be clean..room had visible dirt on the floors (shoes stayed on)..toilet didn't flush and shower didnt drain..all the positive feedback for this motel is based on suites up front not economy rooms in the back of the building..

Review 18：I was told the pool would be open at 8am, yet when I went to swim around 9am, it wasn't open yet. When I finally find someone to open the gate, the pool was full of dead bugs. I swam anyway because I was stiff from walking around Quebec for several days, and needed the stretching I get from swimming. But ewww. There was also no path or pavers going from the walkway to the pool. I had to walk across muddy grass, which I then tracked into the hotel and my room when I walked back in, soaking wet. Thankfully, I'd brought sandals, which got very muddy. The shower and pool towels were tiny and thin. The air conditioning didn't keep the room cool. We called the desk to ask about it and they just told us how to turn it on. The room remained muggy and probably around 74 F. Their Wi-Fi kept kicking us off and wouldn't let us send email when we woke up, even after rebooting and logging back in. It was working fine the night before.

Review 19：The bed was very comfortable; it was about medium firm. The room seemed very clean and the hotel was quiet, which was perfect.The water pressure was great and the temperature remained steady. Most of the staff spoke English (along with their native French). Don't let the dismal pictures of the outside fool you, this hotel is nicely decorated inside. One note: if you don't want to carry luggage up a set of stairs, request a room on the first floor. It wasn't a problem for my husband, but I would have had trouble in my own.

Review 58：Staff had been called the day before arrival requesting early check-in. When we arrived the room was not ready. The counter clerk confirmed that a note was on file regarding our request. We finally were given our room at 5:20 in the afternoon. We were not impressed. There appears to be very little supervision and follow-up by the Manager to ensure the rooms are ready by mid-afternoon for arriving guests. I believe the problem resides there. Everything else however was OK but because of this "staff" issue we will not return.

Review 65：Directions by the front desk person for how to get to our room were kind of cursory. He just said basically go down the hall and up the stairs. At the end of the first hall was a door marked stairs but that led outside so I closed that door and found my way. Some motels have a map of the room layout and use it to show the guest how to get there from here. Not a huge deal but something to consider since the layout is not very straightforward.

Review 69：Bathroom was very small with the hand basin outside which is a bit awkward. Only 1 bar of soap was provided besides the sink, none for the shower/bath, but shampoo/conditioner was there. Breakfast was served on a plate, no choices given except for the style of eggs and coffee or tea. The added fruits were on the skimpy side. Half a strawberry, come on! The slice of orange had mainly skin on it. Self-serve with a bit more variety (cheese, yoghurt, muffin, etc.) would definitely be an improvement. We were told that establishment was under construction on the 1st floor, but logging up suitcases to the 2nd without elevator may be troublesome for some travellers.

Review 70：The room was furnished nicely, beds were comfortable, it was very quiet and we had a good sleep. Internet worked well. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Lobby and dining room looked nice and breakfast was served quickly. Plenty of restaurants for dinner/lunch just minutes away from hotel.

Review 82：1) We didn't realize until we arrived that the hotel is located directly across the street from a refinery. It smelled pretty bad. The area is completely industrial. Nothing to see except whatever is being pumped into the air by the various facilities there. It took us by complete surprise. Had we known this ahead of time we would absolutely have chosen a different location. 2) The hotel was hosting a mixed martial arts event in one of their large spaces upstairs. We went to the town center to get away from it which was good because apparently we missed an alcohol-infused fight wherein the police had to be called. Though we did see an ambulance take someone away just outside our bedroom window when we went to bed. The mma event also drew in a rougher crowd which we weren't excited about. 3) Our room was not at all like the photos we saw online. It was something I would expect from a cheap Motel 6, not the modern, urban space we expected from the photos. The lobby and halls were nice but when we reached the back area where the rooms were, it all changed. Like they only added a nicer front to an already existing motel. 4) We only came across one staff person! How is that possible?? The same lovely girl attending the reception desk was also their bartender. I do not exaggerate when I say we saw no one else. Extremely odd considering there were lots of alcohol-fueled non-guests there. Not my idea of safety. I don't usually do reviews but this experience needed to be shared with others. If you don't care about location, quality, comfort and peace of mind, then this place is for you. Otherwise, pay a few extra dollars and stay at one of the nice B&Bs in town. We didn't because this place sounded good online and the B&Bs had shared bathrooms. I would've gladly shared a bathroom with someone else than stayed at this place where my husband wouldn't even trust the sheets. :(
