Reviews for Comfort Inn Levis
Review 1:We usually stay at the Hotel Kennedy. We have 2 to 4 times min per year for the last several years. I'm in the travel business and I'm often asked where I stop and what my impression is. I looked in booking.com and the hotel site checking to see if my dog could stay with us. Both said yes. When I checked for an associated cost, I could find none. However, I did find and area listing amenities, which included pets. Only the item with costs had an asterisk***. There is no asterisk with pets. I spoke with the front desk clerk in the morning. She stated she needed to call her manager. I was expecting to see the manager. Instead, the clerk printed my bill and handed it to me saying nothing. The cost was still there. I had to ask for an explanation. Not only did the manager come see me, she would not come to the phone and no explanation was offered. The $35.00 plus tax should be identified within the websites. Given it was New Years Eve we had little choice but to stay. The Comfort Inn will not be on my recommendation list....
Review 2:The breakfast lady is amazing. I have never been with one better. She is a 10 out of ten, And is the gem of the hotel....
Review 3:The hotel was selected due to its proximity to the highway and the cost of the room. When booking the room, I indicated I was travelling with a small pet. Later, I was contacted by Comfort Inn staff and advised the selected room was not available as it was not used for pets. My only option was to purchase an upgraded room and pay an additional $35.00 to keep my small dog in the room. If I wished to cancel the reservation, it had to be done through Booking.com and I was given the number to call, which I did. Booking.com was required to contact Comfort Inn Levis; the same person I spoke to at the hotel refused to cancel the reservation. I was "forced" to pay for an upgraded room and pet fees. In the morning, I was required to wait at the front counter until my room could be inspected before I was able to settle the bill. Needless say, I will never use this hotel again.
Review 4:Close to the highway.
Review 5:the over priced fee to keep my pet when the site says pet friendly and then to be told that the dog was forbidden on the furniture. do you know what people do on that bed!!! rather have my dog on there!!!! either its pet friendly or not!!!
Review 6:ground floor around the back was convenient for my dogs
Review 7:I didn't like the 50% up charge for having a small dog at a hotel that claimed to be pet friendly. Plus, I didn't like finding out at checkin rather than when we booked the room.
Review 8:front reception was excellent in providing transportation (at a cost) from the hotel to the ferry over to old Quebec City, along with coupons for dinner. Made it so much easier given that there is limited parking at the ferry docks and very little parking in the old city.
Review 9:We thought we were going to be in Quebec instead of having to pay $65.00 cab fare to get to this hotel. Also, Booking.com placed our room at the head of the stairs, on second floor (no elevator). The staff changed our room to the first floor, with s small additional cost, which was worth it. No ore booking with Booking.com
Review 10:The staff etc was great.
Review 11:The staff was exceptional and extremely helpful in suggesting travel in Quebec. The package deal to Quebec that included taxie and ferry ride was so welcome and convenient.
Review 12:Did not have a bad experience at all, but they put the bill under the door. I had forgotten to mention that I'm a CAA member, so when I called to see if I could get that rate, I was told because I did it on line, there was nothing that could be done.
Review 13:Lovely clean place. Staff was very helpful, and did their best to speak English and offered suggestions for eating establishments.
Review 14:The breakfast was good, but it was just so busy and such a small areathat we were bumped around a little and lost a piece of toast because ofit. Would have been happy to bring breakfast back to my room but stillwould like to see the buffet area a little less cramped.
Review 15:Nice place, comfortable, clean and friendly.
Review 16:No elevator! We are 2 seniors & one disabled person and we had to pay EXTRA $15 + tax for each room to move to the main floor. We rented 2 rooms coming and going on our trip East.
Review 17:Easy access from main Hwy.
Review 18:Hard to find because there are 2 Comfort Inns in Levis. The directions weren't clear and the signs on the highway are confusing so we ended up going to the wrong one first.
Review 19:Be careful of extra charged when travelling with pets. Wrote a "special request" for pet accommodations following booking. Received email from hotel telling me the charge would be $35, arrived at the hotel and they wanted to charge me an additional $15 because pets were only allowed on the lower floor. $50/night for a pet? That is crazy. Because I had the hotel emailing confirming $35, they only ended up charging me that price.
Review 20:Lots of breakfast options, good wifi, location close to hwy...good for road trips.
Review 21:The breakfast room is a bit small if the hotel is full but they had a good selection of items.
Review 22:Room was very clean and hotel staff friendly. Easy location right off the highway.
Review 23:- Breakfast area is way too small for the number of rooms it serves - Our room was smaller than I was pretty sure I had booked
Review 24:- Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. - The beds were very comfortable. - Our room, and the entire hotel, were exceptionally clean
Review 25:Please clean up large discoloured spots, especially when they are very visible as you enter your room. Example: our room #242.
Review 26:Room size. Sweet comfort with a nice clean bathroom.
Review 27:No pool, which the kids were hoping for, but this was a minor point in a short stay.
Review 28:Very convenient location just off the highway, but also close to good dining options in Levis.
Review 29:Breakfast room was three times too small. Hard to find a seat. Breakfast was very basic, e.g. no fruit except apples. No china, only paper plates and plastic utensils (not what I would expect for a 3-star hotel). Hotel was situated in a noisy industrial location near the highway, but the rooms were well sound-proofed.
Review 30:Room size was great. Smelled and looked clean. Parking free and easy.
Review 31:We were supposed to have a queen size bed but got a double bed. My wife and I are not overweight but prefer the width of a queen size bed. When questioned - we were told it was a queen size bed. I'm 65 years old. Wrong answer. When asked whether we could confirm a queen size bed for our return visit in two weeks- we were told to ask "Booking.Com" since that's who we booked through. I don't need attitude. Think we'll try Econo Lodge across the street.
Review 32:Excellent breakfast
Review 33:Parking lot all torn up and unusuable, dusty, and not informed. They should have informed us and discounted from the price due to failure to disclose, parking off-site; dragging luggage off site with parking off property! Inexcusable to charge full price and not inform when booking at time they knew it was a noisy construction site.
Review 34:Newly renovated inside
Review 35:Restaurant workers are so senseless. No any greetings and a smile at us. they are not friendly with brown people.
Review 36:Highway accessibility is good. good breakfast and wifi. Room is very clean and comfortable bed.
Review 37:The room smelled of chlorine. Entrance and hallways very run down - did not feel clean. Have stayed in other hotels in same area, same price range - this was by far the worst. Breakfast buffet overcrowded. Horrible.
Review 38:Room was not ready at check in (we were told to come back in 2 hours). Ckerk was unapologetic and dismissive. Very small room. Breakfast room was small and very overcrowded. Not good value for the high price!
Review 39:Clean.
Review 40:Check out was another story. Different desk person. She didn't know how to split the bill 4 ways with each of our names on it. I am showing holds on two different credit cards. When I called her back, upon arriving home, I still felt uneasy about these charges.
Review 41:It was a perfect spot for pulling off for the night. The beds were really comfortable. Melissa, the front desk clerk, did an awesome job at making each guest feel welcomed. Check in went smoothly and quickly. There was a long line up yet she treated each person as though they were the only person there.
Review 42:Desk chair covered in crumbs from previous occupant; had not been cleaned. No fridge in room though requested.
Review 43:Confortable bed. breakfast included a few gluten free items.
Review 44:Stayed for two nights, on the second day our room was not refreshed; bed was not made, no towels (dirty nor clean) had to ask for a sets of towel, after going through a third degree. Breakfast area way too small for the number of guest!
Review 45:The breakfast room was overcrowded and food on offer was quite limited at 8:30AM for a Sunday.
Review 46:The bed was fantastic, so was the room. Great price too.
Review 47:For the price I would have expected a small fridge in the room. A bit expensive for such a basic room.
Review 48:Staff, especially the lady in the breakfast area were very kind & friendly.
Review 49:We found a half eaten apple under the TV on the shelf. My wife went to have a bath and could not close the plunger. We pulled up on the plunger and pulled out clumps and clumps of hair. Then it worked. WE did tell the front desk.
Review 50:The location was great and the staff were very helpful.
Review 51:Big inconvenience because the parking lot was completely torn up for repaving. Cars parked on the street and for those of us that were able to park in the lot overnight, we had to move the car early for the paving crew. With this inconvenience they had the nerve to charge for a bottle of water that was place in the room.
Review 52:Nice clean room with very comfortable bed.
Review 53:It looks like the hotel was under construction still , a dumpster was left at the Front Door ????
Review 54:Easy access from the highway and a decent breakfast bar .
Review 55:Newly renovated with friendly helpful staff. Nicely located near the Trans Canada and close to restaurants. Great value to visit Quebec City if that's on your itinerary.
Review 56:I like to no why this comfort inn charges so much for a dog when others don't charge at all I think that was to much for any dog
Review 57:Everything was just fine just to much money for 1 night and to many taxs
Review 58:No fridge or microwave. Room very small!! Breakfast items soggy, dried out or tasteless!
Review 59:Convenient location for continuing on to east coast locations! Quiet hotel
Review 60:Walls were thin you could hear people coming and going in the hall
Review 61:Close to highway easy in easy out Staff was excellent made all arrangements for transportation to old Quebec City
Review 62:Heating and cooling controlled at desk, and the noise was terrible, and it came on at 1 am. Also the outside was under construction
Review 63:Value for money, good breakfast, clean and comfortable
Review 64:Renovated but the room did not have a fridge would have been nice.
Review 65:Right off the highway. We had a renovated room. Room was comfortable and breakfast was the usual fare for a Comfort Inn.
Review 66:Noisy halls in the morning. No fridges. Rooms are rather small.
Review 67:Good continental breakfast. Pleasant people at the desk with good information about Quebec Cit y.
Review 68:We arrived and I told the lady that I had booked through one company online but the dates were wrong so I had canceled it so then booked through another company and noticed that the first quoted a $10 lower price however she did not try to accomodate that at all. Then there was no coffee in the room so I went downstairs, asked for coffee, she asked if I wanted decaf or caf so not knowing what my husband would want, I asked if I could have two of each and was told I could only have two coffee pods which I thought was pretty stingy and poor business.
Review 69:The room was very clean. Later when I realized there was only one washcloth in the bathroom the lady at the desk gave me a bag of a set of towels.
Review 70:the bed was too soft for my back to sleep, so i ended up sleeping on the carpet using one of the towel in my bathroom and not enough cable channels.
Review 71:the location is perfectly so close to my starting line up for my half marathon, the room was super clean.
Review 72:Little Hot breakfast (sausage) could have been perfect and the lady who replenish the food could at least say hi or good morning
Review 73:Creasy clean sheets and towels
Review 74:There was not much I did not like
Review 75:Staff were friendly, the rooms were clean. Had an amazing night sleep very quite even for the location. Breakfast served was very nice as well and included in the price
Review 76:Very ordinary room and it was not good value for the cost. THE ROOM WAS A BIT WORN
Review 77:Easy access from airport The staff was quite good Appeared to be clean WiFi worked well OK selection of TV channels
Review 78:-overpriced for an older motel -no pool or hot tub to relax in after a day's journey. -very cramped breakfast eating area - set-up in the lobby & very congested - also very poor eating areas. 2 former rooms & very cramped.
Review 79:-clean -pleasant staff -nice carpet
Review 80:Breakfast was adequate, but there was limited seating, so we ended up eating waffles in the car. Also, they added $2.99 for using the bottled water in the room - a bit chintzy, no?
Review 81:We wanted a hotel close to the highway so that we could get off quickly in the morning. The room and the beds were very comfortable.
Review 82:Was given an occupied room. Staff did not apologise even though the single woman guest occupying the room was horrified when I attempted to enter. The hotel itself is extremely shabby. The rooms are poorly soundproofed and the AC is unusable while sleeping as the unit sits three feet from the head of the bed.
Review 83:Side entrance was located just under our room. People coming in and out all night. Smokers went out several times in the middle of the night for a smoke and talking loud. Windows opening in the country way too small. AC very loud. Hardly had any sleep. Ice machine broken.
Review 84:mattress comfort
Review 85:we travelled from toronto to PEI and stay at Levis, first time on the second floor which was good but on our way back we got a room on the main floor which was much nicer Very good.
Review 86:Breakfast felt like a frenzied feast. Perhaps if it was set up in a different location other then the front desk area.
Review 87:Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
