Reviews for Polaris Lodge

Review 1:There is no reception desk, so arrival was confusing. We didn't know we had to go to the hotel next door to get access.

Review 2:Decent facilities. It is incredibly close to the ski hill (just out the door and your on the hill) so we will keep that in mind for winter trips.

Review 3:air conditioner didn't work well. Cut in and cut out times weren't consistent and it was noisy. Also blew cold air on one half of bed and we didn't sleep well

Review 4:Affordable, clean, quiet

Review 5:tried to order take out from montanas 15 minutes before close and the hostess pretty much snubbed me saying the kitchen was slammed and they werent taking any orders. she could have tried to help me by suggesting something quick and fast but she just dismissed my request. not cool.

Review 6:the suite was awesome, the ac wasnt the best but ok. the front desk lady at trickle creek was very polite and pleasant

Review 7:Didnt like the toilet, never seen one before with creases in it felt like it would be hard to clean and keep clean

Review 8:The bed and pillows were super comfy Lots of space in the living room and nice to have a full size fridge in the kitchen Very quiet place

Review 9:The Hyde-bed my kids slept on was horrid. You could feel the springs through the mattress. We requested a room change and we were moved to the Triple Creek Lodge but had to pay $50 more for the room.

Review 10:The staff where very friendly and helpful. The location was nice and quiet.

Review 11:No food vending machines available for middle of bight snack in our building and key card couldnt access main building to access vending machines.

Review 12:Size of room, comfortable bed and jacuzzi tub

Review 13:Poor communication as where to check in - in a different hotel! Parking garage not working. Wi-fi not working.

Review 14:Great room with fire place and full kitchen! Loved it.

Review 15:With everything so wonderful they cheaped out on the beds which were hard and the pillows which are too small and too thin. Carpet hadnt been vacuumed in a while I kept picking up bits of stuff.

Review 16:Liked to condo layout, great alpine furnishings, bedroom is a separate room, hangers at the doorway for jackets etc, kitchen fully stocked, nice balcony & view and electric fireplace

Review 17:A whistling noise of wind was constant throughout our stay and it wasn't even windy outside , so it must have been due to a current of air through the property.

Review 18:Close to the ski lifts and slopes ,parking was close , staff very helpful

Review 19:We were told we would get a mountain view but we had a parking view yes there are mountains miles away that we could see.

Review 20:The underground parking was a plus as it snowed a lot the one night. The room was great.

Review 21:The king sized bed was actually two twins put together which made it less comfy. I kept falling into the crack. Not the best bed for a romantic getaway.

Review 22:It was beautiful! The room was spacious, very clean and a perfect romantic getaway. Would come again for sure! It felt like a real treat to be there.

Review 23:The reception is handled at a next-door facility, Trickle Creek Lodge so checking in and out is not convenient.

Review 24:The unit was very equipped - queen bed in a separate bedroom with a sink, kitchen, dining area and living room. The carpets and furniture were clean. Actually, everything about the room appeared new.

Review 25:Did not like how much grief we received when my family tried to check in 2hrs early so I could have a business mtg on the Platzl but yet there was open alcohol at the pool Saturday night when I took my 7 yr old daughter for a swim and the front desk clerk just told them to be discrete.

Review 26:Loved being right on the ski hill and able to sneak back to our room whenever necessary. Really loved the night skiing as well!

Review 27:The Polaris does not have a hot tub. You must walk over or drive to the Trickle Creek Lodge to use the tub which is inconvenient. That and really grimy hallway carpets were our only complaints - very small ones, really. It's a good place to stay.

Review 28:We had a one bedroom suite with kitchen which was well equipped. The room was clean and quiet with a great view of the ski hill. We were there in early December prior to the ski hill opening so we expect it would be noisy when filled with skiers. We checked in at the Trickle Creek Lodge and took a circuitous route to get to the Polaris. We found the reception staff excellent and the security staff (as we arrived very late at night) extremely helpful even escorting us to the right location.

Review 29:We stayed in the off season so it was pretty quiet. The room was clean and spacious. And the price was amazing for what we got. Already planning our next trip!!

Review 30:All amenities - restaurant, pool, hot tubs, etc are in the hotel next door. We had to walk across an outdoor courtyard to access anything other than our room. All pictures of the Polaris (except the front of the building) are of the hotel next door. It took quite a while to stumble upon the check-in desk and we only found it because we went in the hotel next door to ask how to get in the Polaris...THAT is where we were to check in. I think what we saw and read on-line regarding the Polaris was very deceptive.

Review 31:The underground parking.

Review 32:We booked a King suite online with spa tub in the polaris but when we checked in we were told those rooms weren't cleaned and we were put in a regular room. We said we wanted what we booked, so front desk had to call in a housekeeper to come clean the room we booked which took an hour and a half. We would have liked to check in and relax but instead had to wait over an hour for our room to get cleaned. Also no breakfast was a disappointment.

Review 33:very large room, balcony, quiet and comfortable, great prices off season.

Review 34:Booking said bedroom#1 and bedroom #2 leading me to believe there were 2 bedrooms. Not the case-was one room and sofa bed. Staff did not respond to my phone calls to discuss. Nobody mentioned the extensive renovation underway and the associated noise that started over our heads at 7am. Was not in the building we were told on the website, was in a partner property, finding location was not clear.

Review 35:Clean and nice accommodation. Value price, shoulder season.

Review 36:The suite was not as clean as I would have liked. The kitchen sink needs to be scoured. The bathroom needs cleaning. The water in the toilet is brown or the toilet bowl is not clean. We found someone's button so the vacuuming was not done.

Review 37:I liked the suite, location, quietness. The staff was very accommodating.

Review 38:Spacious and separate bedroom and living room. Quiet clean rooms. Full kitchen with dishwasher and ice maker in fridge. Washer and dryer in room with two flat screen televisions . Balcony. Great location in quaint little town.

Review 39:Slightly confusing parking setup for underground.

Review 40:Laundry in suite, nicely equipped kitchen, 2 TV's and a nice balcony. Hard to navigate the property in the dark, so remember to watch for the signs, and check in at the main resort.

Review 41:Originally booked at their sister hotel & we're moved here because it was full, but it was difficult to find. Booked that my kids would be joining but they were not treated to the "special kids program" although the hotel boasts signs of the program. Breakfast available was expensive & offered items regularly available on continental breakfasts.

Review 42:Room was beautiful and clean... staff were friendly & attentive. Underground parking.

Review 43:Bed was hard Hide-a-bed was broken Outdoor hot tub was uncomfortably rough on the bum No DVD player - but main desk found us one

Review 44:Location was beautiful Price was affordable Very clean Ladies at the check-in were awesome!

Review 45:The lady that cleaned the floor we were on was rude. I had told her we were done in our room and I had stripped the beds for her she looked at me and said in a rude tone ok. It was not the same service we received earlier.

Review 46:The lady at the front office was warm and inviting.

Review 47:When booking I had indicated that we needed two beds. There was a large, very attractive sofa bed in the living room. Was glad we had a back-up plan offered, as you could feel every spring in the mattress. It needed a memory foam pad to be usable. The Hotel did not have one when requested, but quickly sent a maid to split the King size bed into Twin Beds to accommodate us and solved the problem.

Review 48:The description on Booking.com was almost too good to be true. It sounded great, but I was a bit skeptical that it could live up to the description based on the price we paid. The Queen Suite far exceeded my expectations. It was clean, spacious rooms, beautifully furnished, and two flat screened TVs. The large balcony overlooked the inner courtyard and ski hill. An easy 6 or 7 min drive from the town centre. Wished we had booked more than one night. Would have been happy to stay for several nights to have time to explore the area. The Lodge had free underground parking, too.

Review 49:Request a room facing the ski hill as the back is above the air exchange and very noisy.

Review 50:The room was nice and spacious. You could not hear other guests which was nice. Local calls, forgotten toiletries and WIFI were free which was great.

Review 51:we had to walk around until we found the check in location which was in another building

Review 52:comfortable, spacious suite with balcony and view attractive furnishings and good layout very quiet convenient underground parking

Review 53:Great place to stay will definitely come again and recommend to others

Review 54:Our room had a lot of fruit flies all over the sliding door. No ice machine.

Review 55:Big room.

Review 56:Distance from main hotel amenities.

Review 57:Beautiful location, clean facilities, quiet, accommodating staff

Review 58:The king size bed was made of 2 single mattresses put together. We could feel the joint

Review 59:Size, cleanlyness, felt like being at home

Review 60:Paper thin walls, could hear people talking/coughing in room next door.

Review 61:Location

Review 62:bed were too hard no BBQ on the balcony

Review 82:Not staying longer, jacuzzi in room didn't work.

Review 83:!!Excellent place to get away to and you got everything you need.recommend it.ed

Review 84:The place was clean and very comfortable.

Review 85:room was spacious. Location excellent

Review 86:I don't like that the king suit I was in had a supposed king bed but actually it was made up of 2 mattresses on a king bed frame and there was a very uncomfortable crese in the middle. Also we were woken up by a fire alarm and asked to wait outside for an hour, this one was more of an inconvenience than the hotels fault.

Review 87:I liked the size of the rooms and how comfortable they were.

Review 88:Ski lockers in the parkade are to small and bed was uncomfortable. Bath tub was also on the small side with poor water pressure

Review 89:Outdoor hot tub and pool was very nice. Enjoyed the ski hill being so close. Over all was a great stay!

Review 90:Condominium we stayed in was lovely and extremely well thought out. Having washer/dryer in it was fantastic, as was undercover car park. Lodge is also excellent and location beautiful. Staff helpful. Outstanding value for money.

Review 91:The lodge is right at the lift for the ski hill.

Review 92:This an absolutely outstanding place to stay and visit.

Review 93:not enough luggage carts for check out. and mechanical room was adjacent to the suite, and quite noisy

Review 94:size of suite. good value for price
