Reviews for Ringmauer

Review 1:(I hate to disparage a business...) There was no front desk service, except a brief check in. Virtually no room care including change of towels in a 4 night stay. Inconvenient key situation. Furnishings etc were shabby and very old. Restaurant was closed.

Review 2:Loved Murten. Location in town was good.

Review 3:Perfect hotel situated in a small town of historic beauty with easy access to train station, lakes, swimming pool , shops and restaurants , even a quaint cinema next door. Walking routes across from lake via boat trip with on off facility or just relax and enjoy the panoramic views.

Review 4:Found it a bit drab, but it didn't really didn't matter much, because the location was so good, and it seemed clean and cared for.

Review 5:Great location.

Review 6:After taking shower, water did not drain well, although we had to share this shower room with other customers.

Review 7:This restaurant hotel locates city center, where many tourists visit. A good place to enjoy city atmosphere.

Review 8:All perfect, no complaints!

Review 9:The people are very accommodating! The cafe is NOT to be missed! The chef does amazing things w/sauces etc. & the presentation beautiful! You will not be disappointed.

Review 10:I would skip the breakfast....walk one minute to one of the bakeries for a better deal.

Review 11:The staff were friendly and the hotel, while very modest was very clean.

Review 12:It was cold (the single-panel windows let in a generous draft), the beds were damp, and we had to pay 15 CHF for parking even though it states on booking.com that it is available for free. It is more of a hostel than a hotel, all sounds from the corridor and/or showers/toilets carry a bit too well into the room. Whenever other guests were coming/going we could hear everything they said - even if they were whispering.

Review 13:The location is very central and it is easy to walk everywhere. Just behind the hotel is the city fortress wall which is one of the best features of the town. There are many nice restaurants a stone throw away from the hotel.

Review 14:Our room was noisy late into the night. There is no a/c so windows needed to be open (hot) and below was an outdoor dining patio where people were dining and talking loudly until after 11 pm.

Review 15:Unique location in a very historic old city in Switzerland with castles and a true French atmosphere. The hotel is located next to ancient ramparts. Large size of room for 3, unusual in Europe

Review 16:I booked a room in this hotel in January. When I came there in July, theytold me - 'Sorry, but your room is already booked from next day. Youcan stay here only for one night here and tomorrow you have to move tosomewhere. But we can offer to you another room in anotherplace....." How it is possible I don't know, I booked this roomin advance in January. There are very good audibility in this hotel. All my night I was listening man which was doing the devil knows what for all night and started again early morning...
