Reviews for Kennedy Inn

Review 1:If there's a band playing in the pub, it can be very noisy until 11 pm as can the guests who frequent the pub.

Review 2:The location and comfort of the Inn as well as its history were wonderful.

Review 3:Staff was helpful in finding a sister facility for us. Did not have a room for us. Tried to eat breakfast there but left after sitting for 10 minutes without service.

Review 4:Location

Review 5:Dreadful old place. Badly in need op renovations. Place smelled like hell as the kitchen does not have a good ventilation system. Our room was totally out-of-date, manager refused to give other room. Receptionist in the evening gave us a better room.

Review 6:We reserved the last available room it was also the most expensive. After check in we were told it was above the bar and that there would be music that night. We should just deal with it. There was a reference to a "continental breakfast" on a website. When I asked about it I was told that it was a lie. They did not offer one.

Review 7:It was a little disappointing that breakfast was not served.

Review 8:We loved the atmosphere. We also liked the fact that we were able to park our car and walk everywhere.

Review 9:Wifi is zero. Room are not very great but understanding because Hotel has been build 1910

Review 10:Personnal is very great. Location is perfect. Bar and dining room is good for dinner

Review 11:Bed lamp not connected, wifi did not charge, no glasses in bathroom mature accommodation. Restaurant fan smell and noise.

Review 12:Room decor, cleanliness, comfy chairs.

Review 13:This is an inn, not a hotel. I don't mind this, but be aware of it if it matters to you. No coffee maker in room (but there's a great coffee shop a block away), no phone in the room, and no air conditioning (but 2 large windows that open, and a big fan provided)

Review 14:Fantastic location right across from the pier where the whale watching tours depart, and right in the middle of this charming town. Restaurant on main floor really accommodated our need for gluten free options. My teenage daughter was thrilled to have wings and fries. Great patio for restaurant overlooking main street. I also enjoyed the 2nd floor balcony, a shared space for hotel guests, but I didn't ever have to share it. We were there during the week, and it was very quiet. The staff were all incredibly friendly.

Review 15:they dont serve breakfast, and is hard to find a breakfast in the town ,was my only dissapointment, seems about 60 percent of canadians are bacon and egg people..

Review 16:the town is beautiful

Review 17:None

Review 18:Upon our arrival we were greeted by "Moe" and he was very welcoming and helpful. Our "King" Suite was absolutely stunning. All the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Their service was fast and meals were very good. Evening entertainment in the pub was excellent.

Review 19:The only thing that needed some major changing was the mattress. Too soft!

Review 20:This hotel was very charming with old structured building. The location was excellent. As for the restaurant, we ate their one evening and the food and service were excellent!

Review 21:Because it was right on the main street there were a couple of times when it was a noisy, but that was to be expected. Not a big problem.

Review 22:Comfortable, spacious room with a lovely view of the warf and the water. Very handy location right on the main street. We just parked the car when we arrived and walked everywhere in St. Andrews from there (it is a small and very walkable town).

Review 23:housekeeping knocking lightly, then without pause coming through the door at 830 in the morning despite the door handle saying we didn't want to be disturbed.

Review 24:comfortable room, good wifi signal

Review 25:Being a historic building the Inn would deserve a more careful renovation that would reflect the original beauty of the house. I was kept awake by loud music playing around 11pm one night and my husband woke up too early because the room was not dark enough.

Review 26:Located right in the heart of beautiful St.Andrews the Inn offers good accomodation, free parking and decent food on the front patio and in the cosy breakfast room. We also appreciated the friendly staff.

Review 27:No coffee maker in room although there was a refrigerator and microwave; no air conditioning; bathroom small with low pressure shower.

Review 28:Room good size and spacious plus lots of natural light and easy walk to shops and restaurants around town.

Review 29:I liked everything but it is an older building not a shiny new Comfort Inn and one must be ready to embrace that.

Review 30:Perfect location right in the middle of St. Andrews - nice old inn building with a lot of charm - very helpful staff - good restaurant including terrace on Water (main) street. Some rooms are suites, most seem to be large.

Review 31:It felt strange not having anyone at the property but the key collection process worked well.

Review 32:Old world charm, a chance to live in an authentic manor house. An opportunity not to be missed!

Review 33:the service, and the restaurant. nice to see a great and pub fair menu that is made with quality ingredients. could have eaten there 3 times a day if i had more time. fries are all home made and the burger is amazing.

Review 34:Small window air conditioners are not sufficient to cool rooms with 12' ceilings. Also, we were awake until after midnight as our room was over the bar. Do not expect this, especially with the cost of the room.

Review 35:Bed was comfortable. We had the "King Suite" but for the cost $231 we could have stayed at the Algonquin Resort for $259. However, the Kennedy Inn is a great location. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

Review 79:No air conditioning you should tell is that when we book the room

Review 80:Food was good value

Review 81:NOT a reflection on Kennedy Inn, but the town of St. Andrews - there is no taxi service/ground transportation available without advance (24 hour) notice

Review 82:-the ocean view from my room -location to all the great litte shops and restaurants along the main street -the friendly and helpful front desk staff -the cleanliness of my room -the character and charm that comes with an old inn

Review 83:One staff member in particular made us feel that we were bothering him when we needed something... did not deal well with people should but put in kitchen and not be allowed to deal with guest... Also for those who are thinking of staying at this Inn who have children ensure your room is on second floor as the live performances will keep children up until midnight otherwise.

Review 84:Enjoyed our stay and porch at night overlooking the small town of Saint Andrew...room was nice.

Review 85:Outdated room furnishings. Tub fixtures in poor condition. Hard pillows. Extra blanket on bed or throw had itchy feel like microfiber.

Review 97:Location and friendliness of the staff.
