Reviews for Hotel Adler
Review 1:- Walls are thin so there were too much tv sound from the other rooms. - There was a kitchen but there were no sponge or dish soap - There was just one English and Turkish channgel and channel numbers listed in hotel document were totaly wrong. - Room was cold (in November)
Review 2:- clean - in old town - Irish pub and Turkish restaurant - Someone was checking and tiding room every day. - Hot water
Review 3:Checking in was clumsy, the receptionist did not find our booking and we had to go through all the information again. The room smelled like sewer if the door to the bathroom was left open. Staff was not too friendly. The hotel is located above an Irish pub, so we could hear the noise to our room at night.
Review 4:The rooms were nicely and originally decorated with art, which made the hotel look really nice.
Review 5:no kitchen and so breakfast is taken at a local tea-room, with vouchers purchased from the hotel. Not very convenient and would advise people not to bother as it is as cheap (or cheaper) to buy breakfast without the pre-paid voucher.
Review 6:good for being in the town centre, close to restaurants and shops. Large room.
Review 7:The paintings in some of the rooms are a bit too much and if you like to sleep in white “peaceful” rooms this hotel may not be the right choice for you.
Review 8:We liked the hotel overall although the check-in was a bit messy and we were given the wrong rooms at the beginning (the rooms had guests already).
Review 9:For the price they charge, they need to upgrade the old, overly soft mattress and bedding. It's more like youth hostil quality. Also issues w noise and smoke from the bar below.
Review 10:Great central location in Old Town plus unique decor.
Review 11:Nothing
Review 12:The location in the main street of Murten and the nice paintings on the wall of the room. Every room has a different painting. The Turkish restaurant on the floor is very good.
Review 13:Kitchen airing (blower) was throwing some air in to the room.
Review 14:clean and enough big room
Review 15:Smell. More like a youth hostel.
Review 16:View out my 3rd floor room window
Review 17:Smell of cleaning material in the room Poor breakfast
Review 18:A lot of tv channels
Review 19:A bit noisy from the bar below
Review 20:Clean roon
Review 21:Too much noise from the bar downstairs, until late night, and too much noise early Saturday morning form the street.
Review 22:very poorly management, facility old and not confirmable.
Review 23:location
Review 24:limited wifi (had to ask for it) had to ask for room to be cleaned limited TV
Review 25:Brilliant old style rooms Huge size, so much room Great kitchen Perfect location
Review 26:Mostly it was good, but we had to check in at the bar downstairs. There isn't a lobby which isn't a big deal, but if someone is looking to book tours and ask questions about the area, the waitress/bartenders are too busy to talk about the area. This didn't bother us as we were only there for one night just to experience the ambience of a small Swiss town.
Review 27:location and historical building. Great restaurants beside the hotel and it was nice to just wander around and explore the small town.
Review 28:I asked for a quiet room but apparently they did not have my reservation and the only room left was beside the noisy elevator
Review 29:Nice Irish Tavern with good food inside the Hotel
Review 30:the hotel was not tourist friendly, seemed as though it was more for local people. when we arrived we paid for our room and got the key but were not told anything else. in the morning we went down for breakfast which was included and could not find it or a person to ask so ended up going elsewhere. there was also no wifi.
Review 31:the room was very clean and big
Review 32:Fabulous location in the middle of Murten old town and above theIrish bar.Rooms were comfortable, warm and clean with a kitchenette on each, very convenient. Staff were lovely but don't expect English as 1st language, French and German preferred.
Review 33:The only negative was the smell in the bathroom, I think the smell was from the old original drainage system, but not sure. But it would not stop us from staying there again..it was a small problem.
Review 34:My husband and I recently spent a week staying in the stunning medieval town of Murten. We chose Hotel Adler for it's central position within the old walled town and for it's long interesting history. It turned out to be even better than we expected. The contemporary art in the rooms is stunning, all different and with a theme and the décor is amazing and the room was huge!! We were a little concerned about the Irish Pub below, keeping us awake at night, but we slept like babies. We heard no traffic noise even though our room faced the road. We would highly recommend Adler Hotel to anyone who wants a 'different' unique experience. We heard no noise from any other rooms, the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in! Thank you Hotel Adler...we will be back!
Review 35:The hotel is a unique. To have associated each room with contemporary artists who has painted or, as was our case, filled the room with scuptures made our stay a very special original experience.
Review 36:Hot water kettle leaks water No detergent for washing dishes in junior suite Television reception poor Every little sound from corridor is hear very loudly when people come and go through the night
Review 37:Location Clean Friendly Good beds Very good strong water in showers
Review 38:The hotel is in a very good location, just inside the castle walls. Italso has an Irish Tavern on the ground floor, which served drinks andflat bread pizzas (and seemed to be the busiest place in town - which isa good thing). It also is in close proximity to the lakefront (where wewere attending a concert).
Review 39:We found the check-in staff(who were doubling as wait staff in the pub downstairs) to be aloof and unhelpful. Our room was cold, the heating was not adequate, and the plumbing had a bad smell. There had been a leak by the kitchenette sink which had damaged the flooring.
Review 40:Great location in the heart of the town about ten minutes uphill walk from the train station. We were given a spacious room overlooking the main street, loved the quirky interior decorating.
Review 41:The breakfast is not included. You have to go out for breakfast.
Review 42:Location. It's in the middle of the old city. Cleanliness.
Review 43:Hotel staff not available due to running the English Pub below. No time for them.
Review 44:Huge room with two separate roomph with a kitchen. Great location.
Review 45:Location, staff
Review 46:no phone disfunctional wifi no breakfast smelly toilet
Review 47:an awkward check in which was sorted out after 3 tries
Review 48:thr rooms/size/design/decoration
Review 49:bad smell in the shower!
Review 50:Good quality for the price
Review 51:Noise because of the Restaurant in the night.
Review 52:Location
Review 53:Murten is a beautiful walled town 14th Century. Many of the rooms in Hotel Alder have been themed by artists to make them very individiual.
