Reviews for Hotel Comapedrosa
Review 1:The Hotel (as many of them are) is on the main street - this did mean that there was some late night noise.
Review 2:The staff were excellent, helpful, professional and very friendly. The bar was great and the hotel nice to stay in. The hotel was ideally located and it was very good value for money.
Review 3:On two out of four nights I was woken up by people banging on doors and windows trying to get in after midnight (when staff no longer man the reception). This was really annoying. I think this could be prevented if staff could make more efforts (including putting signs up around the hotel) letting people know how to enter the hotel after midnight. Although helpful, staff did not know too much about walks in and around Arinsal (while this is known to be a major attraction to the town). They supposedly have brochures on them in summer but alas not in spring!!
Review 4:Great location. Very central to everything in Arinsal. Free wifi. But it is not just available in the lobby as the staff said - I had great reception in my room.
Review 5:excellent breakfast, although nothing cooked there was a very good choice of cereals, ham, cheese various types of bread, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Our room was lovely and warm but our friends who were in the next room had no heating.
Review 6:Very weak shower performance, just about adequate for me (bald bloke), would not of been good enough for washing long hair. No tea/coffee making facilities in room
Review 7:Location, 2 minutes walk from gondola. Comfortable bed & pillows. Friendly & helpful staff.
Review 8:Can't think of anything worth mentioning!
Review 9:We found the staff at the Comapedrosa were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was small but absolutely fine for us. The hotel has a nice bar with a friendly atmosphere. We recommend Raul's barbequed calcots - tasty and very messy!
Review 10:Our room was at the front of the building & it was very small & very noisey because there was a church across the road and the bell chimmed very 15 minutes. You could also hear a lot of road noise & the people in the room next door.
Review 11:It was beside the gondola and bars & restaurants.
Review 12:The bells that chimed (twice!) at every hour from the church(?) across the hotel, starting from about 8 or 9am until 10 or 11pm - makes it difficult to have afternoon naps or a lie-in in the morning but otherwise not a bother once you are used to it. There is also only one chair on the balcony so we had to "steal" one from the balcony of the vacant room next door so we could both sit outside. Service in the bar downstairs can be a bit slow as there is sometimes only one lady doing everything (reception, bar, restaurant) but perhaps this is part of the relaxed character of the hotel and people in Andorra in general.
Review 13:It was a cosy little place, we had a balcony and could sit outside for a chat. It had a bar downstairs frequented by some locals, prices of drinks are fairly cheap. It was away from the main district and therefore a little quieter and not as busy, however there are a few supermarkets a few hundred yards away so not inconvenient. Breakfast was continental and the staff did not mind that we packed sandwiches to take away with us on lunch picnics!
Review 14:Monotonous breafasts- I stayed 8 days. Brekfasts served only from 8 am, sometimes it is too late! Might be noisy if you have room on the street side, or just above the bar!
Review 15:Near bus stop, small hotel, but the lift works very well!Spacious room, very clean, good wifi connection. Shops nearby, possibility to have a drink or a little meal in the hotel bar.
Review 16:Everything smelt of smoke, particularly in our bedroom. Being non-smokers this was unpleasant to live with.

Review 27:location , comfort , cleaness
Review 28:There isn't WIFI in the room
Review 29:Perfect location. Attentive staff Good value for the money Amazing food at Taverna Comapedrosa
Review 30:An excellent bar... more like an English pub with free WiFi. Enormous pizzas and helpings of potato wedges!
Review 31:Been there a couple of times now.
Review 32:We had no problems at all.
Review 33:Staff, location, helpfullness, free ski locker. A great ski hotel for Arinsal.
Review 34:WIFI did not reach third floor.
Review 35:Customer service was exelent!People was so,so nice and helpfull!
Review 36:nice breakfast
Review 37:Wifi could be better, cuts in and out.
Review 38:Everything was fine!
Review 39:could be problem with sleep, if U can't stand noise of the water
Review 40:super location - 300 m from ski lift and bus stop; good breakfast; roomy bathroom; decent dinner for 12 eur!
Review 41:Internet doesn't always work, past the second floor.
Review 42:Really good value hotel, 200 yards from the piste in Arinsal. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. There was both a resturant and bar, on site.
Review 43:The room was tiny, more suited as a single. It wasn't possible to separate the twin beds by more than 2 inches without impeding exits for both myself and my friend. 'A more spacious room' it was not as was described on the voucher.
Review 44:Breakfast and coffee was good if a little limited. Staff were friendly and the hotel while showing signs of aging was clean.
Review 45:probably because of the time of year we were there, but not many places were open in arinsal. no big deal though since andorra is tiny.
Review 46:Very friendly staff. clean and very nice sized rooms.
Review 47:The room was a little cold at night but there were plenty of blankets available.
Review 48:The hotel is brilliant value for money. It is in a good location and the staff are very friendly. We ate in the hotel and they were doing a 12 euro menu which included wine. They also have a bar menu and serve snacks but Arinsal is well served for bars etc. It is the second time we have stayed there and would happily return.
Review 49:The staff was very friendly, value for money was excellent, the room with mountain sight was very comfortable, everything was very clean, a great location which I can recommend!
Review 50:We booked this as a weekend break at very short notice and were verypleased when we arrived. The hotel has an excellent location for thelift up to the ski-ing. It has a good atmophere in the bar and thelounge area was comfortable. We arrived a little later than expected dueto traffic but the staff were extremely helpful and the chef stayed onto make us some food and for that we say a big thank-you. The room wascomfortable and clean - the dvd player a nice touch when you have kids.We will book here again.
Review 51:We stayed in 2 rooms on the upper floor at the rear of the building no noise from the nightlife, catering was 1st class, rooms cleaned everyday including a towel change hotel in the centre of the resort and a short walk to the gondola all in all excellent value for money
Review 52:We had no complaints ourselves but bathroom ceiling may be too low for taller guests in attic room but once careful didn't cause us any problems and we liked the room.
Review 53:Very friendly, helpful staff, very clean nice room, excellent location for access to gondola to get to slopes. Were given quiet room on request at back of hotel. Sound of river is obvious but proved very soothing for us and we slept very well.
Review 54:Our room was at the front of the building and the noise from outsidestopped us from sleeping, this was from an Irish bar opposite thatclosed about 3am the shouting and screaming went on till after 4am, thehotel bar also closed about the same time when busy, it has a barfootball machine that sounded like a wardrobe being banged downstairs,we were not the only people to complain, the owner is aware accordingto his staff
Review 55:The staff were first class and the bedroom although very small was veryclean, so was a brilliant shower in a very nice bathroom, the bar had agreat buzz about it and everyone was willing to chat
Review 56:The breakfast is very simpl, and the dinner was nok according toouer liking..They stopped the setral heating to the rooms during the day so it was little cold in the evening. Due to the food we went to the "SURF" steak hous over the river. The entrecote was big but what should be medeum was close to be cremert.
Review 57:The Location wery close to the gondol lift up to the ski area .2minutes walk.Popular bar area.
Review 58:The wifi does not fully cover the hotel. You may have to move around to find a place with full signal.
Review 59:The breakfast has delicious croissants and baguettes.
Review 60:Excellent value for money and a brilliant location. Only criticism was could hear football machine in room which woke us up at 2 in the morning but quickly weent back to sleep. Would recomend this hotel
Review 61:Nice people and a very good restaurant of "tapas"... Very familial andwith a good bar... The rooms is clean and comfortable, and the priceis... Nothing.
Review 62:The hotel was very much a ski hotel and the rooms were pretty basic anddated but clean and functional.the location was very scenic but awayfrom the main busy areas of andorra in winter great for skiers but insummer pretty quiet.we found a day in la vela shopping was enough andthe bus service quite relable.
Review 63:Situated around 10kms outside the main town of la vela the hotel washigh in the mountains next to a ski lift.a fast flowing mountainstream/river ran at the back of the hotel and there were a few shops andcafes nearby.very attractive scenery if a bit remote although there wasa half hourly bus service into la vela.the food was somewhat basic barfood but was good value and cooked to order.
Review 64:A reasonably priced hotel in the centre of the village. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a pretty basic juice, yogurt, croissant/bun with jam & tea/coffee. The rooms were functional but tired and could do with refurbishment.
Review 65:- Can be a bit noisy and rowdy in the street outside in the early hours, but this should be expected for a central location (not the hotel's fault anyway).
Review 66:- Excellent location in centre of town - Right next to hire shops and gondola - Free public car park to rear - Friendly helpful staff - Great continental buffet breakfast - Free wifi throughout
Review 67:room location just above bar which on the weekend is busy and the noises in the evening where disturbing + cigarette fumes were too.
Review 68:free wifi :)
Review 69:At this time of year most of the facilities in the town were closed
Review 70:Staff were very helpful and friendly
Review 71:Excellent hotel in prime location for gondola access to the slopes. Used this hotel twice, will Definately stay again
Review 72:Close to cable car station and mini supermarket
Review 73:Rooms very hot.
Review 74:Friendly staff. Very convenient for the gondola.
Review 75:General appearance scruffy, music in the bar/lounge too loud, room too small.
Review 76:Location, friendly staff.
Review 77:The rooms facing the main street are too noisy...we could hear the people downstairs talking loud and clear!
Review 78:Nice staff. Perfect location. Good value for money.Nice pub in the hotel.
Review 79:excellent value for money, comfortable room, would highly recommend!
Review 80:Breakfast
Review 81:The view to the mountains.
Review 82:We liked the small village away from metropolitan area shaking and witha pleasant river murmur.
Review 83:cleaning breakfast(especially the croissants) staff(very friendly)
Review 84:Nothing
Review 85:the atmosphere is great, the staff is very accommodating! delicious breakfast, convenient location (next to the lifts).
Review 86:Bath only for very small people or acrobat.
Review 87:Price, close to skilift, the Jung lady Lucy very sympatic in the reception.
Review 88:Nice little hotel in a beautiful area. We would definitely stay here again!
Review 89:We were warmly welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked the rushing river below. A very enjoyable stay.
