Reviews for Europa Inn - Hotel Restaurant Spa

Review 1:Tiny room, paper thin walls, shower head so so and the not so good the pillow smelled

Review 2:Overall ok but certainly not in the nines like other reviews, no view good for one night

Review 3:The room was very clean and comfortable. Marcus was very nice and helpful. He is an amazing chef and the meals we enjoyed there were incredibly delicious!

Review 4:There was nothing I didn't enjoy

Review 5:A very friendly spot and very clean Family run business The breakfast was included and it was amazing A la carte-home made Delicious Convenient location Love the piano outside and in Dining room recently done over

Review 6:Not much we didn't like. Because it was newly renovated and maintained by practically one person (aside from the cleaners), we understand. But if we have to say, the turning handle on our window was broken so we can;t close the window unless we push it from the outside. The TV was mounted on the wall with wires exposed and dangling which was not good esthetically and there was not a lot of table/desk space because the room was small. But that's all minor things which didn't take away from our overall experience.

Review 7:The Inn was brand new because it was newly renovated. It was so classy and elegantly decorated. The art pieces on the walls are from local artists with art representing the region. There was a lot of character in the facility with historical items, pictures, stories and artwork. The Inn itself had an interesting history too. Everything was perfectly put together. The staff was very friendly. We were served by the owner who was also the electrician, the waitstaff and the cook! His food is absolutely amazing both in taste and plating. You can tell that there was care put into every little details here. Our room was so charming. While it was small, we thought it was cozy, it was also new and the bathroom! wow! I'm a clean freak and I must say, the bathroom was impressive for such a small inn. It was brand new with slate tiles, brand new tub, vanity and toilet. It was so roommy! and did I mention, Clean!!! Everything was so clean it glistened in the light! the bed was so comfortable and again, clean! Our room was on the third floor, with a walk-out balcony/deck. It was a nice touch and we appreciated it even though we could not use the balcony because it was raining. the breakfast that was included was perfectly prepared to our liking by the owner/chef. He was very poised and classy. My whole experience was perfect.

Review 8:The walls seemed a little thin as we could hear the shower(ing) in the next room but all was good, didn't hear voices.

Review 9:Overall feel of it was modern, clean and unpretentious. Nice host/owner/chef. The breakfast was simple and excellent, probably would cost $15 per plate on it's own with coffee and juice and tip, it makes the stay more than worth it,

Review 10:We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean, beautiful and comfortable. The meals we had there were excellent. The Chef(owner) went out of his way to make my girlfriend a wonderful vegetarian dinner. The person cooking the meals came out and spoke with us, the owner in one case, and a member of the cooking staff for one breakfast. It made us feel very special and that all of needs were being looked after. All of the staff was wonderful and made us feel at home. All of our meals were delicious and I would highly recommend the Europa Inn Dining Room Inn for a stay.

Review 11:Internet service was spotty at best; we were unable to stay connected, and it was slow

Review 12:Tasteful décor; beautiful artwork; great breakfast; comfortable room which was well equipped and spotless; great location and friendly host and staff

Review 13:The location of the Inn was in town. It is within walking distance to the pier, shopping, hair salons, laundry, etc. They have off street parking. The staff and owner are very friendly and informative. The owner is the chef, and he has a restaurant in part of the Inn. He is open to public for supper. For breakfast he only serves his Inn guests, a full menu breakfast. ( which was wonderful). The room was modern and very clean. All of the essentials were provided it even had a balcony to sit out on. Fantastic place!

Review 14:nothing

Review 27:Nothing

Review 28:Location, room, breakfast

Review 29:I have returned several times, and never been disappointed. Great location, great food.

Review 30:Quiet hotel. Downtown. Helpful staff. Wonderful free breakfast.

Review 31:The Location was great, the staff was very friendly and breakfast was awesome. The whole stay was great value for the money.

Review 32:Very interactive people make your visit very comfortable

Review 33:No one at the front desk when I tried to check in, I had to call . It turns out they were doing renovations, some of them in the room next door. Had I known this I never would have stayed here. I am sure it is quite nice when it is really open, but I will never stay there again. I spend roughly 6 months a year in hotels for business and this was just an attempt at some non business quiet time, big mistake.

Review 34:Location

Review 35:Everything! The food was fantastic! This is a lovely lovely place, my husband and I stayed there on on vaction in July. They are doing some renos but the rooms are charming, clean and have balconies. So close to town. We had the most amazing dinner and breakfast ! Do not miss out on this place, I can't wait to go back one day!

Review 36:There were no dislikes with the exception of no one brought a dog for meto pet {mine were to far away} but there were plenty on the streets withthere pet parents which were all nice enough to indulge me

Review 37:It is close to the water ,beautiful sunsets,Canada day fireworks werebeautiful, rooms spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfasts werevery nice ,the chef who is also the owner was very helpful in all waysfrom giving directions for shopping in areas that were not in the nearvacinity, to telling us about the hotel and surrounding areas

Review 38:Felt a little presured to stay there for dinner and drinks.

Review 39:Breakfast! Best we had at any hotel that was included with your room.First time I took a picture of a bathroom, very unique.

Review 40:You can hear through the walls pretty easily but it wasn't really a problem. We waited quite a while to order breakfast, but that wasn't really a huge deal either.

Review 41:The location was excellent, just around the corner from the market square and shopping. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay. The room was very modern, clean and cute, with a comfy bed. Breakfast was okay too. Cute dining area.

Review 42:decor is a little cold in the dining area. had problem with the room key, was not reprogrammed on the second day of our stay. The bathroom plug for the rasor and hair dryer was not working. The room is small.

Review 43:location, breakfasts, confort of beds. I appreciated tne paintings by Mrs Ritter. We had a balcony.

Review 44:Can't think of a thing.

Review 45:We loved it all. The furnishings of the hotel were wonderful. We enjoyed the wonderful art collection on all the walls. The breakfast that came with the room was much more than expected. The location was great for walking the quaint town and boardwalk. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 46:The only thing that was a bit off was the construction to the outside. The outside was unfinished. I can assume the owners will be finishing it this summer.

Review 47:The location was perfect. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The staff were very nice and accomidating. We really enjoyed this Inn and would definitely recommend it to other and stay here again.

Review 48:The floor we were on was very noisy. There was absolutely no sound insulation. We could hear everyone's conversations, TV, etc.

Review 49:Excellent value for the $99 we paid. A full, delicious breakfast was included.

Review 50:Restaurant partially closed for season.Hotel still under renovation

Review 51:Rooms and bathrooms nicely appointed.Large comfortable beds. 42 inch flat screen tv Nice hotel for good value

Review 52:Lack of elevator service for access to rooms on upper level in light of developing mobility issues. However, I was told that an elevator was in renovation plans that are partly underway.

Review 53:Home-y comfort away from home. Friendly welcoming staff. Great breakfast dished up in quiet surroundings. Dining room windows allow sun to shine in & walls have attractive artwork displays. Unique room arrangements with attractive window & bedding fabrics. Stayed twice and both rooms had a balcony option (would be especially nice during the summer months). Liked the modern bathroom fixtures & contemporary look.

Review 54:Some changes would add to its definite charm. The only way to upper levels is by stairs, so an elevator would improve building for accessibility as wood entrance to the restaurant at ground level . Room was cool & drafty around window & sliding door. Seasonal restaurant menu has limited choices for anyone with food allergies/special dietary needs & restaurant is not open on Monday evenings. Rooms lack common amenities & features found in many accommodations (e.g. iron/ironing board, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, skirt hangars, bathroom door clothing hook, sit-down vanity with mirror/desk option in bedroom area.

Review 55:Home-like atmosphere in rooms, quiet background music playing in the restaurant; friendly staff; excellent cuisine, relaxing tub with jets, comfortable beds, pillows, & bedding. Elegant glasses & appealing toiletry products were a pleasing touch in the bathroom.

Review 56:It is an old building with lots of stairs if anyone has mobility issues. We do not.

Review 57:The food was excellent, gorgeous presentation, delicious. Restaurant is well appointed but not crowded. Love the art work on the walls, in fact we bought a piece. Renovated room and bathroom were both gorgeous. Small private balcony was a bonus. Bed very comfortable. Staff friendly, polite and helpful. We also like the central location so you can park your car and visit Water Street, the wharf, etc. on foot easily.

Review 58:The food! While not enough positive words can be said about howprofessional and friendly the staff and owners are, or about its easy-to-find location (right downtown where the ocean, shops, restaurants, andsights are literally a five minute walk away), or the simply yetcomfortable rooms but the gourmet breakfast is what turned us intorepeat guests.

Review 59:Very nice place to stay and relax. The staff was extremely accomodating and I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Your breakfast, which there is plenty to choose from, is included and is very delicious!! It is within walking distance of shopping and the bay. The scenery is heavenly!

Review 60:The staff was exceptionally friendly and so accomodating! The room was fantastic and I loved that I could bring my little dog.

Review 61:Pillows too big and firm.

Review 62:Wifi was inaccessible in our room.

Review 63:The bed was very comfortable. The eggs Benedict was delicious .

Review 64:Centrally place near the sea side in village of St. Andrews. Top service, nice localities, clean and good food.

Review 65:the decor of the facility was outstanding (included works of art by owner's wife), the meals were also outstanding

Review 66:Modern establishment, great food, and excellent service from down to earth owner.

Review 67:Very thin walls and noisy.

Review 68:The food was excellent.

Review 69:everything but the elevator---it was painfully slow. I would stay there again. food was excellent and the service was efficient and friendly.

Review 70:Fabulous and charming little oasis. Friendly staff, amazing food and we loved the local art everywhere! Thank you for a cozy weekend!

Review 71:Clean european design of rooms which were very comfortable. Just a quick visit en-route to visit family so no chance to do much but sleep and eat

Review 72:Nice small hotel right in town. Owner is very friendly and helpful. European atmosphere in Canada...

Review 73:The food. Chef and owner Marcus has developed an exceptional and most enjoyable menu.

Review 74:It has an excellent location which is within walking distance of downtown. The hot breakfast was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
