Reviews for Trickle Creek Lodge

Review 1:The bed was hard as a rock and the linnens need to be updated. There seemed to be quite a bit of animal hair on the furniture.

Review 2:Great location just up the hill from the town. Appreciated having a restaurant, as well as, a bar on the property. Underground parking was a definite perk.

Review 3:jacuzzi hottubs old and rough delaminating jagged cement to sit on and lean on. need major renovation. jets didn't work in the one i was in but water quality was excellent. changing room was old dirt stained floors. Hall and elevator carpets are worn, couldn't look clean if you tried.

Review 4:nice room, good furniture, comfy bed and clean well enough supplied kitchen. loved cozy king suite for 2 people all have a balcony. loved it. every room has nice view of some sort

Review 5:It would have been nice to have had our rooms closer to all of our friends. It was sometimes difficult to get bedding and clean dish towels.

Review 6:It was nice to be on the hill.

Review 7:Pillows on the bed were not very good, and covers were a little sparse.

Review 8:The location was second to none. Very comfortable and will likely stay there again.

Review 9:Great stay at a good price! Many pluses: The ski in ski out; the hot tubs and pool; the lockers; the indoor parking; the full kitchen, the staircase decor with nice carpet, fully finished and painted, open to the lobby; the friendliness of the staff; the dog friendly atmosphere; the large balcony with view; all in all a good stay. Just a note on the cleaning even though it did not really affect our stay: We were there for four nights. The cleaning staff forgot to clean our suite on the first morning, they cleaned it on the second morning but did not vacuum, and although they came on the third morning while we were getting ready to go skiing, we asked them to come back a bit later which they did not. The front desk staff brought us some fresh towels and toiletries on those two evenings. The hot tub area seemed to be running out of clean towels fairly often.

Review 10:The initial room was on the top floor as requested but it was facing the parking lot and we had requested it to be facing the mountain... when we requested to move rooms to face the mountain, the staff told us that we could switch rooms but there was a hockey team coming and we would hear them running up and down the hallway and their parents get drunk and don't watch their kids so we stayed in the room as recommended. The hockey team still seemed to have a room or three just down the hall from where we were? and there were kids playing hockey shooting balls all over the walls most of the night. when we asked staff what they could do about it they said nothing till 11:00pm. We were staying at the hotel under recommendation from someone who was staying there on a previous occasion but she said the room was no where near as nice and much more disappointing then the last time she was there. Did we get a lesser room because we booked on-line and got a better deal? the room we had booked had two bedrooms and a kitchen so I kind of expected they would all be the same. Anyways we did appreciate the friendliness of the staff and I was totally blown away that they gave me a call because we were running a bit late but the overall stay will have me looking at other options next time I stay in Kimberley.

Review 11:The Staff was great when we got there and even called me ahead of time to let me know how I could get the room key from security after their reception close hours. They have heated underground parking and the service in the attached Montana's restaurant was excellent and I would definitely go there again! We also saw some resident deer around the hotel that made the stay quite enjoyable.

Review 12:The king beds were basically two twins pushed together, so there was a seam in the middle. The hotel was over-run by kids with little to no parental supervision on the weekend we stayed.

Review 13:The rooms were nice and large with a kitchenette. The fireplace was a nice touch.

Review 14:The fitness room was terrible. Two of the cardio pieces were basically unusable.

Review 15:The building was beautiful, the room was very nice as well. I loved the hot pools as well.

Review 16:The pet fee is quite steep. Fortunately, it was taken care of. Front desk realized that we had two, we'll behaved, non shedding, hypoallergenic dogs. Thank you.

Review 17:Great location for hiking!! Front desk left some dog treats upon check-in. Large room with full kitchen suite was a bonus. Price was fantastic, will be back definitely!!

Review 18:Breakfast area was closed for season. So no breakfast on site. This bothered me considerable

Review 19:Beautiful location great value. Nice rooms and views. Staff was amazing

Review 20:Wish they advertised that having a dog is an extra $75 not a huge deal just would have been nice to know when booking. Also the hotel restaurant Montana's was AWFUL. Ketchup all over the table items, horrible service and food was slow, over priced and not good. Do yourself a favour and just get some food from the Grocery Store in town and cook it.

Review 21:This was a great place to stay with a fully functioning kitchen. Wifi is fast, staff was friendly and a true pet lovers hotel.

Review 22:A greater selection of dining options closer to the lodge would have been nice.

Review 23:Friendly, very helpful reception staff; a very clean and attractive suit. My wife particularly appreciated the kitchenette facilities. Basement parkade was convenient. The suite was excellent value for the quality of accomodation.

Review 24:If breakfast was included in the stay it would be great!

Review 25:This place was fantastic. We got a king suite. The bed was comfortable. We were allowed pets which was awesome. I would definitely go back

Review 26:Kitchen pots and pans are of poor quality and food keep sticking on and burning. Recommend on purchasing non stick cookware.

Review 27:Friendly people and clenaniness of room.

Review 28:That we had to go home.

Review 29:The staff was great especially the front desk staff. Crystal the evening slerk was great in telling us all the different things that was available to do.And suggesting a great place for meals.

Review 30:The Trickle Creek Lodge use to include breakfast with your stay. I was very disappointed that they now charge for all breakfast items. We did not eat there and went down to Kimberley for breakfast.

Review 31:I've stayed at The Trickle Creek Lodge on business and decided to stay there when my wife and I were traveling for our vacation. Our son and his family decided to stay at a different hotel. When he say our room, he had wished he had also stayed at Trickle Creek. The Lodge is a very nice place to stay and I would have no problem booking there on our next trip.

Review 32:Very comfortable king suite with full kitchen and great relaxation area with fireplace and television. Lots of room and well designed and functional space. Great for longer stay.

Review 33:The hot tub was a disaster. The cement bottom and benches we all chipped up and next to impossible to sit on. The paint in the room was pretty chipped.

Review 34:We liked the studio suite with kitchen. We like Kimberley and we enjoyed our dinner at Montana Steakhouse

Review 35:Front desk staff extremely helpful and friendly, spacious suite, best hotel we stayed at during our 1 week honeymoon in Canada! We got twice as much for half the price of other "resorts".

Review 36:Construction next door was a little late.

Review 37:Rooms were clean, facilities well kept. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. Good close option for food at Montanas and food was very good.

Review 38:No coffee filter in coffee pot, but really no big deal as there was a pot at the desk when I left

Review 39:Clean rooms Friendly at front desk Got a good rate as I was only there to sleep had to leave early next morning definitely will come back to Kimberly to explore

Review 40:Showers could use updating. Breakfast offered for sale was overpriced and of poor quality.

Review 41:Suite was very nice, comfortable and clean. Staff at front desk and in Montana's restaurant were terrific.

Review 42:Our experience surpassed our expectations. The room was so comfortable that we ended up staying in it for more hours than we expected. It was as comfortable as being home.

Review 43:Beds and linens in need of upgrade. King beds were two twins pushed together. Very uncomfortable. Restaurant closed at nine. Too early if late coming back to hotel.

Review 44:Location

Review 45:How far away from The town centre. Everything closed at 10. Even the front desk isn't open 24 hours. The people above us were loud and we couldn't do anything about it

Review 46:Loved the pool. Loved the balcony.

Review 47:Just wish the balcony could have been used (locked due to inspection not done on it yet), but understandable. If we were staying another night they offered to change rooms for us. And my 12 year old son was to sleep on the hide a bed but decided to leave it as a couch when he felt all the springs.

Review 48:Great value, easy booking, great service, great scenery. Deer even met us at the door :-)

Review 49:Pool and hot tubs - need to be resurfaced. Terrible condition. Summer activities or equipment for children. Not much there. Run a ski lift during summer, biking, hiking, or site seeing. Would be a nice feature.

Review 50:Hotel Restaurant was under staffed but they did a great job.

Review 51:The pools need a facelift. The cement coating is crumbling in the hot pools and also the edging in the larger cool pool. Nice to have but need some TLC.

Review 52:Great location, helpful staff, comfortable units, all excellent.

Review 53:Better breakfast options would have been good.

Review 54:Location was great. Lots of room. Close to golf and skiing. Good restaurants in house. Clean. Underground parking was convenient.

Review 55:The first room we had couldn't access WifFi or the balcony.

Review 56:The desk clerk moved us to a better room after the first night and the manager gave us a discount for that first night because we had a room that couldn't access WiFi and we couldn't access the balcony. Having breakfast and lunch on the balcony was glorious. The pool was great too. I love having a kitchen suite.

Review 57:Wifi access was a serious issue from Friday night for the rest of the weekend due to the place being full. Bottom of pool was very rough and grazed my daughters feet and knuckles. Couldn't turn TV on one night and it took 45 minutes to get help.

Review 58:Good sized rooms and comfortable beds, air conditioning. Helpful staff.

Review 59:I use the internet for some work when I travel and i found that the connection speed was marginal.

Review 60:The desk staff, particularly Crystal, were excellent. Room decor and overall hotel look were a little worn, but quite practical and comfortable.

Review 61:No complimentary breakfast and cost of simple breakfast was exorbitant .

Review 62:Loved the mountain side views and the pool/hot tub..beautiful suite with all the comfort of home. The value exceeded expectations.

Review 63:The facility lacked cleanliness. The hallways had dirty carpets and dirty fingerprints everywhere. I booked the room for 3 adults yet it was barely made up for 2. Bedding was old and stale, and the king bed ( which consisted of two thin twin mattresses) looked as if a child had made it up. it was dirty from corner to corner. In desperate need of fresh paint, updating, and care. The pool area was a huge disappointment with a cloudy mirky pool; hair and insects floating over the surface and two decrepit hot tubs with rough unfinished edges and algae stained tile. The balcony was small and absolutely filthy, the building exterior could benefit from a pressure wash and window cleaning. Came here specifically to relax but spent much time away to combat the disappointment.

Review 64:The location made for a quiet stay with no traffic noise. Though there was no mention of feather bedding in booking, the staff responded quickly to removing the 4 feather pillows in the room. The facility allowed for earlier check in.

Review 65:The hot tubs need a little attention. They were both quite worn looking and feeling and had extreme temperatures (one was overly hot with no jets working and the other was barely warm with the jets working). The bed was a little hard for our liking.

Review 66:The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We came to the area specifically to golf, so the area was perfect for what we were looking for.

Review 67:A little far from town if you don't have a car.

Review 68:We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette and a couch. A nice view and spacious room. My son used the hot tub and enjoyed it. We were only there overnight, but would come back.

Review 69:The bed was comfortable but the pillows where pretty flat. The carpet by the bathroom was not clean and there was rolled up napkin parts in the sink. Almost like the sink was wiped with a wet napkin and it fell apart. It was still there after the room was made up on the second day.

Review 70:Location great. Room size great. Beautiful in summer and winter.

Review 71:Food and beverage operations. Not impressed that they had a large chain restaurant in Montana's as your option for food. Very average quality for mid-high price range. Would have expected to get a more authentic mountain town type experience at the restaurant in a ski lodge. Breakfast area was bad. All pre-packaged goods with no fresh qualities what so ever

Review 72:Location!! Pool & Hot tub areas!!

Review 73:Stay away from eating at the Montana's on property. HORRIBLE experience!! Waited over an hour for food that was disgusting.

Review 74:Great resort with very friendly, helpful staff

Review 75:Too bad about the smoke. Bed not very soft.

Review 76:We got a great rate online. Have been going to Trickle Creek since it was a Marriott. Love the location. So glad Kimberley hasn't been "discovered" yet.

Review 77:We were under the impression that our room was a suite (I.e with a separate bedroom) not a studio style room and that it had a balcony as defined in the room description, but it didn't.

Review 78:Hot tubs: 1 was extremely hot, the other was luke warm. Need to invest in black out blinds for summer season (room is bright by 7am).

Review 79:The mountain view. Friendly staff

Review 80:The mattress on the King bed was a little too firm and the sofa bed mattress had lots of springs I could feel. If it had a foam pad it would be perfect. The couch however was very comfortable just as a couch and I slept like a baby! :)

Review 81:The Trickle Creek Lodge was beautiful, clean, spacious, and a fantastic deal. It is in the beautiful town of Kimberley, BC, near the beautiful Kootenay Rockies. The staff was beyond friendly and knowledgable. We will be returning to Trickle Creek Lodge. We loved it! Luxury for an exceptional deal! The suite has a full kitchen and it was like having a mini apartment. Will be recommending to friends. We didn't want to leave!

Review 82:Room was not what we asked for or received. Requested a balcony and did not get one, we were told we "should have done our homework" even though our receipt on booking said balcony! Front desk lady was ignorant! Did not have bedding for hide a bed, maids did very little each day.

Review 83:Room was in need of renovation as well as the bathroom. Montanas disappointing for dinner.

Review 84:Stayed at property in 2009, and since then the room was dated and needs updating.

Review 85:Spacious one bedroom with full kitchen. Ideal for a three night stay! We could relax after golf before going out to dinner either at the hotel or one of Kimberley's many good eateries.

Review 86:The cleaning service was a bit late coming around but we understand that this was due to a shortage of staff. Also, the pool was murky and the hot tubs could have used some TLC.

Review 87:The staff was very accommodating as we arrived early and they arranged for us to have an early check-in. The room setup was perfect for two couples with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a common area to sit and visit, play cards and relax. We also had a comfortable deck which we enjoyed.

Review 88:There could have been a little more attention paid to the bathroom floor (another pass with the vacuum perhaps?). However, the hotel did call the room the evening of check-in and asked if everything was alright. My fault for not stating this at this time so I did not penalize my score on cleanliness.

Review 89:Very comfortable bed, good-size balcony and functional room layout. The location was convenient for access to cycling trails, recognizing that it was uphill to the hotel after most rides. Would be a great spot in winter for access to skiing.

Review 90:Poor breakfast selection, not a real hot breakfast menu. Should inform guests when checking in so we can buy our foods and cook in room. Staffs are alright, only one person Crystal in front desk, not friendly, no smiles.

Review 91:Value of the room

Review 92:Very clean, spacious room...we had the King. Excellent value for the price. We were there on a Sunday, I believe Friday and Saturday night are significantly more. The little village of Kimberley in very close and is well worth checking out..some great restaurants and shops

Review 93:Would be nice to have a nice full breakfast and lunch at the Deli. My room key would not work in the main entrance on Sat. Night. Had to phone security.

Review 94:Nothing

Review 95:When I walked into trickle creek lodge I was not expecting much but when I opened the door to my room I was blown away!! The room was absoulutly beautiful . When I looked around the room I noticed how clean it was . It was One of the cleanest places I have ever seen. Props the the housekeeping staff!! The front desk were very friendly and helpful .I booked this room on booking.com and the price for this room was an unbelievable . Excellent value for an outstanding property!! I promise anyone who books a room here will not be disappointed ...

Review 96:Internet cuts in and out and is slow when it is working and there is no 24 hr on site staff which we realized when we went to check out at 6 am so we just left our room keys in the suite and left.

Review 97:It was very hot during our stay so the air conditioning was a huge relief. We loved the location and our suite was comfortable and clean. My daughter just loved the pool and I enjoyed having Montana's restaurant on site which saved us travelling into town. Kimberley townsite and the Platzl was fun to explore. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 98:The internet did work at all. That part was not impressive and a feeble attempt to correct the matter did not help.

Review 99:Nice and clean and nicely furnished.

Review 100:The adds state its a 4 season resort, the only thing open was the attached Montana's. When we had our room cleaned the bed was made as if the house cleaning staff were in a hurry...it was uneven and i had to remake the bed myself.

Review 101:The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful.

Review 102:We didn't like the lady in the canteen, she was quite rude to my husband when we came to have breakfast. He is diabetic and he was struggling to find something that he could eat, she suggested that he hurry up and figure it out as there were people waiting behind us. One person who was there waiting. If I would have been a little more on the ball I would have cancelled my order right then and there. The hotel would be better off to provide a complimentry breakfast instead of going through her.

Review 103:The whole hotel is beautiful, the room was great although we did not get a balcony! The staff had prepared it with the airconditioning on and the somewhat difficult tv/cable system turned on. our view from our room wasn't spectacular but it was fine. I imagine in winter it is just gorgeous up there!

Review 104:Bathroom fan was super loud (they are in the process of changing them though), room entry door did not latch properly, always had to double check to make sure it was closed (we advised front desk). The pool and hot tub were filthy, with bugs & debris. We were pretty disappointed, as everything else was so clean and well kept.

Review 105:The room was spacious and very clean, bed was super comfy, loved the balcony and the underground parking was a bonus. The food at Montana's was fabulous. We would stay here again.

Review 106:We were disappointed that the pool was closed longer than expected into our visit. Other than that all was ok

Review 107:Liked that we had a kitchen and living space to enjoy as we were there for a while. The staff were very accommodating to change our room as requested to give us a better view and sunny balcony.

Review 108:Used booking.com to reserve this room at 2 nights for $242. When we checked the bill however we were charged $134 per night. Front desk had a paper copy of the booking.com reservation and were eventually able to correct this but it was a good job we checked the bill over before paying it. Annoying. The inside "Market" had very minimal selection not nearly what we remember from our last visit. I realize its summer and not as many visitors but ......

Review 109:Location Lots of space in the room Clean

Review 110:Relaxing time in a room with a view. As we were on motorcycles and park them for the evening it was great to be able to walk to Montana's restaurant for an excellent dinner.

Review 111:Wifi was very poor in the room. Weak signal.

Review 112:The resort was really nice. The pool and hot tub were under construction, but when that is fixed, I think it will be great.

Review 113:The pool was under repair and there was no one at the front desk when we wanted to check out. The desk didn't open until 800 and there was a line up of people wanting to check out.

Review 114:Nice rooms and close to the town.

Review 115:It all worked! There wasn't anything that was problematic.

Review 116:Wonderful rooms with amazing views in a very peaceful environment. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Great value, great experience.

Review 117:Stayed May 22nd The lodge new property a few minutes out of town. We had a 2nd floor one bedroom king room with a full kitchen, a lounge area with fireplace and a balcony. Very quiet and peaceful at this time of year with views to the mountains. Montanas restaurant on site was open for dinner. The breakfast café was closed as it was off season, however there are lots of options in town and we would recommend Our Place café. A great place to stay and excellent value for money in the off season.

Review 118:The restaurant Montana's was very poor. Food was very blande. Would consider going somewhere with a better attached restraunt.

Review 119:Nice room, big kitchen, very clean.

Review 120:The fridge in the room ran all night long and was loud. The bathroom fan was so loud in the morning that is was very disrupting. Room 421.

Review 121:Great room and comfortable.

Review 122:The bed was quite hard. We did not sleep well at all due to quality of the bed. No cushioning on the bed, the springs made a clunking noise.

Review 123:It is a beautiful spot, the condo is very nice and well furnished.

Review 124:I liked the location, the decor the outdoor heated hot tub and swimming pool as well as the Montana's restaurant located on the main level.Staff were excellent everywhere there.

Review 125:The only disappointment was that the breakfast cafe was closed.

Review 126:The Lodge provided a a welcome retreat after a long day on the road. Situated at the base of the mountain the views were spectacular! The warm welcome and spacious well appointed room was just what we needed.

Review 127:Pool and hot tub were under Reno. I was informed by phone about this before or arrival date- with the option to cancel reservation.

Review 128:Suite was comfortable and had a complete kitchenette. Laundry room

Review 129:It was end of season so most onsite food services were curtailed. I wanted to checkout early to get to the airport, however no desk clerk was available until 8:am and no breakfast available. I needed to get to the airport so I could have some breakfast before I caught my early flight.

Review 130:Just about everything!

Review 131:Spacious, clean one bedroom suite with kitchen facilities, living room, balcony and an extra sink in the bedroom. Located just steps away from the chairlifts.

Review 132:Love staying right on the ski hill. And...just found out that there are some rooms that accommodate a pet. :) yeah...now we don't have to leave a family member home next time!!

Review 133:Not enough time to stay another week.

Review 134:The room was very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils, the third floor hillside view was excellent and the staff was top notch!
