Review 1：Situated in a nice location and has lots of taxis available at anytime. The staff are great and accommodate the clients needs as well as being able to speak fluent English.

Review 2：This is not exactly a bad experience, but just an observation about the restaurant staff. The employees of the restaurant need to be more alert about what the costumers want. There were times in which we had to call them to be served because they never approached us for nothing. Of course that when they approached us, they were very good.

Review 3：Everything was ok. The people at the information desk are very kind and provided us with the information we needed. The hotel is conveniently located and everything is easy to get access to. (grocery stores, shopping malls, etc...)

Review 4：Took a little while to check in s they hadnt received the booking.com confirmation. I had to email them the email i received from booking.com. The pool is very shallow.

Review 7：This was my third or fourth visit, and I (who am very particular!) continue to be very impressed with the hotel--its staff, facilities, and in general the attitude of everyone here. The client comes first here, and it is much appreciated.

Review 8：The duvet was dirty, the air conditioning unit leaked water all over our papers and we initially had no hot water. The front desk staff (with the big exception of Christian Vasquez-he was awesome!) were indifferent and did not believe us when we told them (3 times) we did not have hot water. When they FINALLY had a maintenance guy come to the room to fix it, he fixed it immediately, - he was great. Too bad we had to take 3 cold showers before that. The breakfasts were sparse and the WIF was not secured with a password.

Review 11：The room was small, it looks like a motel. The staff were rude. The breakfast was poor without hot drinks. It is not a 4 starts hotel, the service was ok for a 1 start hotel.

Review 13：Bathroom, water everywere after taking a bath. Hand size towels for body... Airconditioning, damaged, no matter what temperature I set it was chilling and full speed. Price, 3 Usd for a 250ml coke!

Review 22：As other people have pointed out, they are constructing a building just next to the hotel. The noise starts early in the morning and keeps going all day. It is quite annoying, but as I wanted to get up early each day this did not bother me too much. It is a loud noise and it is pretty constant. I would not mind booking this hotel again even if I knew the noise would still be there since this is a great hotel to stay at.

Review 28：For 2 people myself and my son. we were on twin beds. I thought it would be a double bed either full size or 2 queen size. Room was not ready first night but from there on was fine. Towels we in short supply on one occasion. and the biggest was a very small window very little outside light. Work out room was poor.

Review 29：I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Also Breakfast was good, and the location was excellent. The pool was nice but small. the area for pool area was excellent. very well maintained with lots of room to relax.

Review 30：Staff knocked on door several times, even going door to door to check if guests were staying in the room. The drain in the shower barely worked. The sheets were stained in some areas (although clean). I could go on for much more here.... but ultimately I would not recommend this hotel.

Review 32：The room refrigerator was leaking water and producing flashes at night, when the compressor turned itself on. During my last night I had difficulty sleeping due to the constant beeping of a smoke detector in the public areas. The shower needs a new shower head.

Review 33：This hotel is in the process of a refurbishment. The new areas are quite attractive (such as the refurbished dining room) but the rooms in the old part are very small and the balcony unusable. The LCD TV is quite large with a good reception, however, the furniture piece that supports it has been gutted to fit it. The bathroom is large but lacks enough shelving.

Review 39：I've stayed at many hotels and rented apts in Barranquilla and byfar Hotel American Golf is the best. American style king beds,breakfast included was more than some eggs and toast, entire hotelclean, staff helpful.

Review 40：The enormous king-size bed was as hard as a rock. The ac did not workwell the first night. The business center did not have printingfacilities and one of the desk tables was wobbly and felt like it andthe pc monitor was going to fall any second. One of the PCs was downand a second had been removed for repairs. The shower head was brokenand the plaster was coming off in the shower ceiling. But the worstthing happened during my first stay, I had two one-nighters that I usedas bookends because my ultimate destination was Santa Marta, occurredwhen the desk clerk for the first night asked me to pay to have myluggage held for an hour after our check in because I wanted to use anatm in town and have some Juan Valdez coffee - but when I offered topay the second night, another desk clerk said they do not charge forthis. They were shocked that this had happened and I was asked todescribe the first desk clerk to the manager so, the situation appearsto be a personal scam by a ruthless employee they should bounce out ofthere. Pronto!

Review 41：This is a beautiful hotel, the complimentary breakfast was good variedand delicious and my suite was large - but this hotel needsimprovements to live up to the grand impression it makes when youarrive. The staff was outstanding - with one exception I describe inthe Negative Comments section. I recommend this hotel, for all it'sgreat trappings, with minor "reservations". It's a goodstay for a budget minded traveler.

Review 42：Room had no reading lamps; king bed junior suite only had one easy chairin the living area; took 2 days to get enough hangers;restaurant gavewrong orders, opened late; it took numerous personele, 5 hours and a sawto open a faulty room safe; lobby had several uneven areas that were notmarked and dangerous for falling.
