Review 1：The owners were very nice and the hotel was nice and quite, the Dairy queen is just steps away and Chinese food restraint right there also. They also are open for breakfast in the morning. Had a nice hot shower and the water was nice a hot. When in Midland again I will be sure to book there again. The hotel price was very cheep also.
Review 2：Terrible, terrible, terrible beds. Very soft and saggy matresses. I get used to sleep on firm matresse. None of us could get asleep due to very soft beds. I understand you can not expect much from 2* motel, but we pay for the opportunity to sleep one night - we did not get it.

Review 4：The fan didn't work in the bath room. The pillows were way to soft (cheap). I thought the price was a little high for what was offered. The in room fridge was not even plugged in so really couldnt use it in the short time we were there.

Review 8：No hairdryer. In the morning, we could hear the conversation our neighbours were having in their room. Noisy air conditioner.......had to turn it off in the night. The walkway was right outside our window, so could not keep blinds open.

Review 12：I didn't particularly liked the location. Midland wasn't that interesting. Silverstar is a basic motel/inn and given the location didn't add that much. WiFi wasn't working as it should.
Review 13：There probably was new carpet in the room. This gave the typical new carpet smell, but also the impression that it was clean and new.

Review 20：The pillows were way to soft. The room wasn't dusted and not enough towels for 2 adults. The soap was terrible to shower with and no hair conditioner or lotion.
Review 21：The hotel was close to where we wanted to be for a family reunion we had in Penetang. The hotel manager was very friendly and asked if we needed directions anywhere. The beds were okay for a motel.
Review 22：Microwave did not work. Told I had to smoke by garbage bin because paying customer's complained I was smoking outside the room, which I paid for. Adding $10 onto guaranteed price because my daughter was 14 which they knew at time of booking

Review 24：For the value and flexibility of accommodation, this is a very good motel in Midland. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we had everything and gave us maps and recommended local restaurants.
Review 25：Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful during 2 separate stays at this motel. Room was extremely quiet and clean. Guest-controlled heating/cooling units in each room. Close to restaurants, a convenience store, and Little Lake Park. VERY affordable. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 37：We were disappointed in the SilverStar Motel after reading such good reviews. The room was really small and worn out. The lighting is terrible - forget reading before turning in. The bathroom was in desperate need of attention - chipped sink and vanity; no plug for the sink; water went from to cold in the shower. There was a hole in the ceiling where the fan should be. Had to ask for a hair dryer. Only one electrical outlet could be found outside the bathroom for plugging in phones without unplugging the single lamp in the room.

Review 39：The facility is extremely dated. The carpets are disgusting (glad we brought out slippers). The bathroom was as clean as they could get it considering there were some kind of non-slip tiles on the floor that just seemed to hold years of grime as well.
Review 40：We had little choice for a room this weekend as each and every hotel/motel we tried was booked up. Called home and had our daughter check online for something. We were in Huntsville and had to drive to Midland for this one. It was listed as an 8.1, so we figured the drive would be worh it. The lady at the front desk was very nice, however the place was not all all what we had anticipated. The beds were clean though, and since we had no choice, we decided to stay.

Review 44：The wifi did not work well initially and had to be reset. There was aside table on one side of the bed only since the king bed took too muchspace. No bathroom hooks to hang up clothes, etc. Room a little dark -needs more lighting.
Review 45：A plain, basic motel that provides most of the amenities. The ownersare very friendly and accommodating. It's a short drive from hotelto highways and main street. Good for a one or two night stopover.Note that the rooms are on 2 levels - the second floor rooms areaccessed by 2 external fire escapes. It was not a problem for us, butyou would have to carry up your luggage. Ask for a ground floor roomif this is an issue.
Review 46：The bathroom fan had no grill, you could see into the ceiling, and it was very loud. The towels in the room and extra pillow we asked for both smelled of South Asian cooking. The wifi was so slow it reminded me of a dial up connection.
Review 47：The price was good and the place was clean. It is a good location for Midland and sounding areas. The couple that run the place are very nice and were able to recommend places to visit and eat.
Review 48：Great location, great price. Within walking distance to Little Lake Park and even downtown. Immediately surrounded by restaurants and a grocery store down the street if you wanted a night in with a microwave and a fridge. The hotel across the street took advantage of the Bike Week and increased prices to ridiculous amounts, but this clean and cozy hotel was fairly priced!
Review 49：The bathroom had no towel-bars on the wall. Most disappointing was that the Booking.com e-mail sent to me, which showed the room and itemized its features and amenities, clearly stated there would be a DVD-player in the room, BUT THERE WAS NONE!
Review 50：The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were quite comfortable and the bathroom had ample space. The full cable-TV service and working bar-fridge were great, and we appreciated that the room was on ground-level with the parking spot being directly in front of it.

The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The motel is close to very picturesque "Little Lake" and within walking distance of shops and the Georgian Bay harbour.

Review 53：I needed a little getaway...I was going up to the Georgian Bay area by myself....I found the Silver Star motel through Booking.com...The owners of the motel were excellent and very pleasant to talk to...They were very helpful whenever you needed something ...The cleanliness was beyond my expectations. I would stay there again without any hesitations. I want to thank them again for making my stay so pleasant and welcoming.

Review 55：The bed was the worst I ever tried to sleep on. Didn't sleep much at all. The room had stains on the ceiling from water problems and the bathroom has had water problems as well. They charged way to much for this room. The owner said that they increased it in the summer months not worth the money. I think I would give this motel a one star if that.

Review 57：Tanya and Jay were wonderful hosts! They have us great suggestions of things to do with our girls aged 10&12. They were always checking in on is! The room was made up daily and very clean and tidy! The park was a three minute walk from the motel! Jay and Tanya made our stay worth while!
