Reviews for Royal Inn and Suites at Guelph
Review 1:Could not get on internet at all (even though the indicator was at 5 bars).
Review 2:Right next door to the GO station, and convenient to shops and restaurants. Spacious room. Quiet.
Review 3:Some partiers dropped takeout food on the floor in front of our door. I told staff about it at 6:30 a.m. It still hadn't been cleaned when we checked out at 9:00 a.m. Not horrible but .....
Review 4:Location, cleanliness, room size was awesome.
Review 5:Rooms are tiny; peeling paint in the bathroom; no government or corporate rate; located in the middle of "the bar scene" and the bus station; couldn't access wi-fi; Can do a lot better for $100.
Review 6:Adjacent to the bus and train station for easy travel.
Review 7:The hallways & elevator are super sketchy.
Review 8:We were a little scared after reading the reviews... although the rooms were dated, ours was extremely clean! Great location!
Review 9:TV didn't work and the plug in looked burnt off.
Review 10:I was with my husband and toddler daughter and mother. I loved how the room separated to give us privacy.
Review 11:Extremely noisy. The bus station noise was expected, how ever the noise from students partying till 3 am was not. The fumes from the diesel buses were also bad. Will never stay there again.
Review 12:It had some charm and was clean.
Review 13:The blind that fell off when I pulled it down, exposing the duct tape from a previous repair. No light switch at the door, had to use my smart phone to find a malfunctioning lamp, then the bathroom light
Review 14:the staff
Review 15:room was dirty (handprints and grime on the walls, dried feces on the toilet seat) listing said 'city view' from all rooms - our view was of an alley
Review 16:located right downtown free parking free wifi fridge and microwave in room spacious room
Review 17:The rooms are not clean, they are also really small, i found out a hair in my towel, TV is old and the carpet was old and not clean. Some noise during the night. It could be a good hotel, but they dont seem to invest in it.
Review 18:Wi fi was the only thing that worked well.
Review 19:Noisy at night. Shabby and dirty. Couldn't open a window to air the room out and the AC was noisy. Our motorbike was tampered with even though we were assured that the parking lot was supervised with cameras.
Review 20:Not much.
Review 21:Door was open when I returned from being out. Lots of shady looking people renting rooms for long term. Bars are right out side and I saw a few fights break out. Would not recommend staying there unless you are young and want to be close to the night life.
Review 22:The price was pretty good and the staff was friendly.
Review 23:Apon arrival we were informed we had no reservation while planning with hotels.com and had to wait 20 minutes to figure things out and once I check out I was informed it was cheaper to just call the hotel personally for 80 dollars when I paid 102.
Review 24:Staff
Review 25:no continental breakfast, which for the price, should have been offered,as competition did.
Review 26:large,clean room, elevator, location very central, parking, 24 hr. desk person, friendly and helpful staff.

Review 54:Nothing
Review 55:The fact I could not have guests after 11pm
Review 56:Very dated furniture.
Review 57:Basically, no wifi at all.
Review 58:Location and price.
Review 59:Would be better with breakfast
Review 60:Well furnished large room and bathroom; guiet although is situated onthe street with night clubs and bars.
Review 61:Beware there is no continental breakfast as advertised online. They are renovating the restaurant. Cleaning was very poor (same drink cup on desk for the whole five days), they even stopped after three days coming in and changing towels or making the bed. Front desk staff not very engaged with clientele, had to stand there for minutes while they talked to friends. Wifi sometimes kicks you off. Do not expect much from this two star hotel, bare minimum. Parking area is very small. They have a sign that says for hotel only but no one pays attention/ it is not enforced so it gets hard to park. The bylaw is you can not park on the street at night as well. Paid very little for the room so had no expectations and they did what I needed (room to sleep in).
Review 62:Meals easily accessible in the area with many choices.
Review 63:the entrance isn't clear, there is no markings on the front to even tell you that you're in the right location, but even if there were, you can't get to it because it's in a bus lane. the bathroom blinds were broken so anyone outside could see into the washroom. i requested two double beds or one king and got one double bed for me and my business partner to share
Review 64:that access to the fourth floor was via a set of stairs DOWN from the third floor. that was kinda cool
Review 65:Late nite music Was woke up from running equipment of a bus or a train maybe pipes in building It was disturbing Won't stay there again
Review 66:Nice old building charm Close to bus and train and resturants
Review 67:You get what you pay for & not much more.
Review 68:Location & value for money
