Review 1：Hotel is very dated, especially the bathroom. Restaurant is dated as well. A light odd odor, but in general nothing bad.

Review 2：The locations is great, choose a spot on the back of the hotel and you can see Sherlock Holmes Falls. Clean.

Review 3：The staff were exceptional, attentive to all of our needs and took obvious, and well-deserved, pride in their hotel. The breakfast was substantial - both my hungry children were more than well fed - not to forget the dinner, which was also memorable. I had entrecote of Chamois which was something both new to me and extremely well cooked. My boys had different rostis, and both commented that it was the best rosti they had ever eaten. There was something of an 'old-school' charm that will ensure that we will stay there again.

Review 4：Shared bathroom may be more difficult when the hotel is busy, or if you have children, which we do not have. A great place.

Review 5：A very friendly and clean hotel in a beautiful location. We had a shared bathroom, but we knew this when we booked and it was no problem at all. Very good value for the money.

Review 6：They had lots of many facilities for the children to keep them company. Also, all our rooms were very clean. The children were surprised with bunk bed.

Review 7：The Wi-Fi appeared not to work - not even in the restaurant. This may have been caused by the inclement weather or the number of users - but either way it did not work (in the evening nor morning) - a bit of a disappointment in an otherwise great place.

Review 41：The owner and Heidi, the waitress/bar person, are fantastic. They could not have done more for us. They always took time to chat to us and made our children feel very welcome. This is a small, traditional family hotel - nothing fancy but comfortable and clean. We stayed half-board and the meals were excellent! We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming, value for money hotel in a beautiful part of Switzerland!

Review 43：The hotel is within walking distance to the entrance to the grotto and the funicular up to Reichenbach falls. The hotel allowed us to check into our room early. At night we could see the falls in the distance from our window. My wife and I felt the price was fair for what was offered. We would stay again.

Review 53：Initially chosen because of price, we used the hotel as a base when touring on our bikes as it was ideally placed for several mountain passes. It turned out to be much better than our expectations. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. There was a good choice at breakfast which was included. The town was a short walk away as were the Reichenbach Falls and our host was very helpful, providing useful local information.
